Dear Senator Boxer,
At the bottom of this email are two different letters from you in response to the same query, Dick Durbin’s DREAM Act.
Which one is real, Senator?
I find it extremely hypocritical of you to be pandering to one side of a debate, while obfuscating your true purpose to the other side of that debate.
I think Reid just pulled the Dream Act.....
Thanks for the heads up jjsokay. I'm filling voicemails.Quote:

I told them ALIPAC thinks they speak for all citizens but the truth is 99% of america does NOT KNOW about Dream Act - even with the publicity lately. I tell them that ALIPAC and these other groups target EVERY immigration proposal the same way and that THEY are a special interest group as well !

i really doubt the staffers have time to check every website an annoying caller tells them to check. They just tell these uneducated anti immigrant callers what they want to hear. Can you imagine the time it would take for senators to check every bad thing somebody says about them on the web???? It's funny how they are patting themselves on the back like they have just found a way to end world hunger.
saltine crackers???? and they call us racist?Quote:

So, because 99% of Americans don't know about it, then it should pass!?!?!Quote:

A) he doesnt seem sorry. B) If he's so educated, then why does he say saltine cookies and not saltine crackers? Oh, and the word "more" should occur after "I believe most of us speak and write much".Quote:

I actually received a word today at 2PM that Dream would not be debated on the DoD bill, but i was asked not to post it until it was officially confirmed (which aready has been by Reid) thats why i was pretty quiet during the late afternoon, i was given couple more instructions which i will post later
Yep, they're saying over at DAP that it won't be part of the DOD bill, but they're hanging on to Reid's words that he'll get it done by November 16th (possibly for little Tommy's birthday.) They're hoping people like Hutchinson, Crapo, Ben Nelson, Cornyn, Martinez, and all others that objected to it being attached will vote for it as a stand alone.
We must keep fighting this garbage until then, especially with those Senators mentioned above.
But Gogo my friend,Quote:

Hey would you be willing to either post her reply or pm me with it? I have thought about emailing her the two letters also, but I am not sure if it would help or hurt. willing to take advise on that one.Quote:

Maybe he just isn't saying yet... but I find that odd! Thought he had been on our side... but disappointed that the "staffer didn't know!" Thought it would be a FIRM NO!!!
FROM DAP:
so what the hell happened, dream is not going to be added on the dod bill anymore?!
Saint seiya, No they will not be attaching DREAM to the DoD bill anymore. There are too many amendments left and very little time to get it finished. We are all disappointed and dreading our phone bills but we have to continue the fight now. Alilosers and the anti-Dream losers became active in the last few days when there was a good chance that DREAM would be attached. Now, they will claim victory and retreat into their holes. We may not beat then in numbers but we can definitely beat them in frequency. Keep calling the Senators, especially Senator Reid and Durbin and hold them to their promise. Also, I expect that we will be developing a plan to gain support from our House of Representatives. One good thing is that the House doesn't need 3/5ths majority. A simple majority will do fine.
When CIR was discussed in the Senate, Speaker Pelosi told Bush that he needed to win support from 70 Republican members to counter any opposition from conservative Democrats. The DREAM Act has broad support. I'm sure we can win 70 Republicans, especially with Durbin's revised version.
Quote:
I'm sure we can win 70 Republicans,
I would not be so sure about that...I mean we know that they are trying to tip the scale...by using calling cards...and some have private cells to you Know who....now that doesn't sound sure to me
i see 202-224-**** lolQuote:

I can't find any info on this other than on their site, I am worried we have been set up. KEEP CALLING FILLING THOSE VOICE MAILS,
I can't find any confirmation either. I've been checking news and the Library of Congress (Thomas) which shows no change in the status of the amendment.Quote:
