So, be prepared to counter this bogus argument (it's still an amnesty, even under the new language an illegal alien of ANY age with two years of college or service can still get green card/legal status, and chain migration is still in this amendment):

There is simply no way a DOD appropriation bill can be considered when an amendment for amnesty is attached to the legislation. We are a country of laws and is that n t what we are trimming totach are fellow compatriot's in Iraq that they nust stand up for liberty and freedom? I ask you to do the same and vote no agaist the unrewarded disingenuously people akin for he amnesty.Quote:

I keep using the lipstick on a pig analogy in my voice mail messages. No matter how much lipstick you use, it's still a pig. I also exploit the hell out of the DHS opposition and the new historical approval rating low (11%) for Congress.
The mailboxes for Feinstein and Boxer are full, maybe they never cleared all the messages from yesterday!
Thanks zeezil. I also like the DHS comment about it too.
It seems to me, that a person could use a line like this in talking to the staffers...:
"So Senator <X> wants to give a de facto amnesty to how many illegal alien minors (assumed, of course) what about one million? But, if you figure that DHS has already presumed that document fraud will occur rampantly under this legislation, and if we use 1986 "Immigration Reform" as a rough guide, 3 million people were assumed to be eligible for the amnesty, and in the end, somewhere between 10 and 12 million actually received it.
So, if we assume 1 million are now 'eligible' and document fraud will occur on a widespread basis, then we are in fact likely giving amnesty to at least 4 million right-off-the-bat. "
In short, the impacts are ALWAYS underestimated or intentionally downplayed, and this case is likely to be just more of the same.
