A boat that folds down small enough to be easily carried on foot may be a valuable tool for preppers.

Preppers who are serious about being prepared for anything when they grab their bug out bags may want to check out the Foldboat, a plastic rowboat that can be folded down small enough to be easily carried.

Using a sheet of high-density polyethylene plastic, the designers crafted a vessel that can be folded away and packed into the trunk of a car or slung over the shoulder. The durable plastic can be folded up to 6,000 times before wearing out. The boat when folded is a little longer than a yardstick and about 2 feet in diameter.

Another version of the boat does not fold quite as small, but can be folded into a flat sheet that would be easily transported in a car. The makers say that it can be put together in just about two minutes.

Design students Max Frommeld, 29, and Arno Mathies, 26, were both studying for their master’s degrees in production design at London’s Royal College of Art when they came up with the idea for the Foldboat, according to the Daily Mail.One of the uses the pair envisions for the boat is conducting rescues in areas where devastating floods have occurred.
The boats sell for about $1,200 each. Foldboat also sells compact oars and inflatable pillows to go with the boats.

Be prepared for a blackout.

During emergency situations, you may find your home and community in the dark. That can be a very frightening thing — especially for children. We have all experienced a power outage. We need alternative sources of light during blackouts.

Learn how to use sources of light such as candles, kerosene lamps, propane lanterns, etc. Practice with the family — especially the children — before a power outage occurs so that everyone knows how to use alternative light sources when needed. Become educated about the hazards of using these items and learn what to do in case of a fire. Your family must be protected from any accident that might occur from the use of fire in your home. Never go to sleep with any unvented oil, propane or kerosene lamp burning in your home, and never leave a candle burning unattended.

It is good to have several different types of alternative lighting in your home.

The following are items that are great for your emergency preparations.

Every family should have a year’s supply of individual candles. Candles that last a long time, such as 50-hour or 100-hour candles in solid or liquid form, are best. You will need candle holders or candle lanterns with a broad base and handle for the solid candles. I like to store a large supply of butane lighters as well as stick matches along with the candles. To increase the light from your candles, place them in front of a mirror or put some sort of reflective material such as aluminum foil behind them.

Kerosene, or paraffin, lamps can be purchased in any outdoor or sporting goods store. They are excellent sources of light and will burn about two days on one quart of fuel. Be sure to store plenty of extra wicks and wooden matches. Wicks need to be trimmed and maintained or they will put off excessive smoke and dim light. Keep a window cracked to allow ventilation in the room with a burning lamp. Be sure to purchase extra fuel for your lamp.

These lanterns are for outdoor use only. They are an excellent source of outdoor light. They require mantles, so store a good supply of them along with wooden matches.

Headlamps are extremely useful for any emergency. They can be strapped around the head, which allows the hands to be free. Headlamps should be in every vehicle and in every emergency bug out bag.

Solar-Powered Yard Lights

These are nice for outdoor lighting. They are charged by the sun during the dayand can be taken inside when they are fully charged. They give off a dimmer light than candles or lanterns but will work in an emergency.

Cyalume ChemLight Light Sticks

These light sticks are the safest form of indoor lighting available. These sticks can be purchased in most sporting goods stores. They are cased in plastic and must be bent to be activated. The sticks will glow a bright green color for up to eight hours.

(NaturalNews) The long-dreaded "zombie apocalypse" may already be underway in Miami, where a human zombie -- a mindless naked man -- was encountered by police officers who found him literally feasting on the face of another naked man. This is a true event and has been reported by CBS Miami (http://miami.cbslocal.com/2012/05/26/miami-police-confrontation-men-l...) which says:

"Miami police shot and killed a man on the MacArthur Causeway Saturday afternoon, and police sources told CBS4 they had no choice: the naked man they shot was trying to chew the face off another naked man, and refused to obey police orders to stop his grisly meal. ...Officers found one man gnawing on the face of another, in what one police source called the most gruesome thing he’d ever seen."

At that point, the police officers shot the zombie once, but he continued feeding on the other man's face. They were forced to shoot him again, which mercifully killed him. Then they sought to aid the victim whose face was already mostly eaten off.

"With the attacker dead, lying nude on the pavement, officers and paramedics were able to get to his victim and rush him to Jackson Memorial Hospital. Police sources say the man had virtually no face and was unrecognizable. Once the bizarre confrontation came to an end, police were left with the task of figuring out what had happened..."

The Zombie apocalypse

I can tell you what happened: the rise of the zombies! Humans who subject themselves to fluoride, aspartame, psychiatric drugs, vaccines and street drugs end up lobotomizing their higher brains. Vaccines, for starters, cause extreme neurological damage, and some vaccines are actually made of aggressive viruses designed to "eat" targeted regions of the brain, resulting in a biological lobotomy.

What's left is the primal section of the brain, sometimes called the "reptilian brain." Or the "zombie brain," to use a pop culture term. This zombie brain has no morals and no logic. It only knows hunger, sex, violence and fear. It is entirely focused on selfish needs and has no ability to consider the welfare of others.

One of my firearms instructors, a former Marine sniper who saw front-line action in Iraq, recently told me, "You know why the zombie apocalypse won't really happen?"

"No, tell me," I replied, because I know he has a sick sense of humor.

"Because I want it to," he grinned.

He's hard core. And he's not alone. Among the community of firearms owners and sports shooters, the idea of an approaching zombie apocalypse is already woven into the culture. So much so that a prominent ammunition manufacturer, Hornady, has even introduced its own line of ammo specifically engineered to blast the brains out of zombies.

It's called "Zombie Max Ammo," and it even has a promotional video that publicizes the superior ballistics of Zombie Max ammo by depicting an actual zombie invasion of society, where firearms-owning citizens fight them off with this special ammo:

And if you walk into a gun shop and the salesman shows you the latest wicked .308 AR-10 with a white phosphor night vision scope, a green laser illuminator, and an invisible IR illuminator as a stealth backup target designator, when you ask, "What's all that gear for?" He will smile and tell you, "It's for killin' zombies!"

Some of you who don't visit gun shops actually think I'm trying to be funny and just making this up. The really funny part is that I'm not.

The zombification of America

I suppose that at some deep gut level, most people realize our civilized world is crumbling. The abandonment of law and common sense in the United States (and, heck, the UK too) is just one such sign, but other signs include:

• Increases in bizarre reports of people "sleep driving" as they suddenly awake to find themselves driving around town in their own cars in the middle of the night. From PubMed at the NIH: "Z-drug-impaired drivers may demonstrate cognitive function at low levels with drivers still able to understand and respond to questions while sleepwalkers are completely unable to understand or interact with police. Z-drug-impaired drivers are often severely physically impaired, unable to stand up or maintain balance while sleepwalkers are able to stand and walk unaided." • The complete lack of intelligent questioning about events where the official government explanation makes absolutely no sense: 9/11, the killing of Bin Laden, etc. (Jumping rope and 9/11 truth - how the sheeple have been trained to avoid unpopular truth about WTC 7)

• The acceleration of flu shot propaganda which now includes pushing flu shots onto pregnant women, too. Flu shots contain chemical adjuvants that lobotomize brain tissue, causing you to be unable to think rationally.

• The rise of a whole new generation of mumbling, neurologically-damaged children who are now routinely seen out in public. Many of these children are, of course, vaccine damaged.

• Aspartame, which "pickles" the brain in formaldehyde, continues to be consumed in ridiculously high quantities through diet sodas. Have you ever noticed that people who drink a lot of diet soda are also the most brain-numbed people around? (www.naturalnews.com/aspartame.html)

• The increase in the sales of products made from human babies. Recently in Korea, a company was busted selling "powdered human baby" in capsules as a longevity pill. And more recently, a UK man was busted in Thailand with six roasted human fetuses in his luggage, wrapped in gold foil. These were being sold as some sort of dark magic power source. • Even the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recently warned Americans to prepare for what they call "the coming zombie apocalypse." (CDC warns Americans to prepare for zombie apocalypse (really)) According to a May 16, 2011 announcement by the CDC, "...zombies would take over entire countries, roaming city streets eating anything living that got in their way. CDC would provide technical assistance to cities, states, or international partners dealing with a zombie infestation. This assistance might include consultation, lab testing and analysis, patient management and care, tracking of contacts, and infection control (including isolation and quarantine)."

• But the No. 1 proof that the zombie apocalypse has already begun is none other than the employee roster of the TSA. Have you ever tried to have a logical conversation with a TSA employee? These people have no functioning higher brain and are hired primarily because they are "primal brain" operatives who enjoy sexually molesting little children. Heck, just recently, a Catholic priest who was thrown out of the church for allegations of sexual abuse of children was found to have been granted a job at the TSA!
