Here's anther addition to the "reduce, reuse, repair, recycle" category...a lamp beautifully crafted from wine bottles. Would be simple to make, actually. Drill out the cork & run the wire through, connect the cord to screw-in light hardware, and slide the hardware up into the cut bottle. Voila!
(Of course use compact fluorescent or screw-in LED bulbs for energy savings!)

These bathroom vanity cabinets are made from reclaimed wood. What I love is that some of the wood is left rough, but the wood you touch is all planed & sanded smooth. I love that contrast.

Mondays are my Reduce, Reuse, Rethink days...and this fence is one of my favorite examples of creative reuse of discarded objects. The owners used all manor of reused items, including wood, metal, windows, wheels, a bicycle...! And left room for the hedge to grown in at the bottom.
