“The GOP had better listen to what these Ron Paul supporters are saying”
Writes The Washington Times William Kelly:
If there is one thing you should never count out in politics, its Ron Paul; make that two things, if you count his supporters.
Even now, Paul, a Texas Congressman, is again closing the gap in the New Hampshire primary. A Suffolk University/7 News poll published on Saturday had Romney at 35%, down from 40% two days before. Paul rose to 20% from 17. 15% are undecided.
Republican presidential frontrunners may come and go, beaten into submission by the mainstream media spotlight or Romney Super Pac ad spots, but the two intense political factions – smaller government constitutionalists and foreign policy non-interventionists – that make up Ron Paul’s support are of the sort that “never say die.”
So what is Ron Paul’s secret to inspiring his supporters? “Freedom is popular,” shrugs Scott Davis, an Illinois coordinator for Ron Paul.
And it truly is…
Something has happened this election cycle that is different than the rest. The recognition of Ron Paul and his supporters as a powerful political segment has finally gone mainstream…
Former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin issued a sharp scolding of her own to the GOP establishment Tuesday night:
The GOP had better not marginalize Ron Paul and his supporters after this [Iowa Caucus] because Ron Paul and his supporters understand that a lot of Americans are war weary and we are broke. He [Paul] has reached these constituencies that are concerned about the solvency of the U.S, and he has proposed solutions with his austerity measures that he would like to see implemented so the GOP had better listen to what these Ron Paul supporters are saying and had better work with them.
Savvy politicians like Palin understand Paul’s philosophy has struck a chord with a segment of difficult-to-reach voters. However, Paul has done more than reach them. He has inspired them and activated them…
In a different way, President Reagan also attracted blue collar Democrats to the Republican Party in the 1980s. Inspired by his sunny pro-American optimism and tough anti-communist platform, Reagan transformed conservatism and made it a powerful populist brand under the Republican banner…
Ron Paul and his supporters are also attempting to transform the Republican brand. “The important thing is that I have challenged the status quo, the corruption in Washington, and as a doctor I know that the patient, in this case the country, is responding and now has a good chance of recovery. This is very, very pleasing to me,” said Paul in an interview with Newsmax last week.
Win or lose in Tuesday’s New Hampshire primary, Ron Paul and his supporters will continue to be seen and heard this election. This is democracy-at-work – whether the GOP leadership likes it or not.

Ron Paul New Hampshire Team Salutes 10 More ‘Veterans for Ron Paul’Granite State heroes hail from Belknap, Cheshire, Hillsborough, Merrimack, Rockingham, and Stratford counties
CONCORD, NH – The Ron Paul 2012 Presidential campaign announced today the names of 10 New Hampshire residents joining the active “Veterans for Ron Paul” nationwide coalition.
Support for the Ron Paul 2012 campaign in the ‘Live Free or Die’ state continues to benefit from the backing of veterans such as those speaking out today. Reasons for Dr. Paul’s substantial support from voters who are veterans include his dedication to veterans while in Congress, highlighted in an ad here, and the fact that he is himself a veteran, serving as an Air Force flight surgeon.
Representing six counties, information about each veteran is provided in the following statements.
Belknap County
Sanbornton resident David G. Parenteau served for 20 years in the U.S. Army, seeing action in West Germany, East Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia. He was injured in Vietnam during the Tet Offensive, and was awarded several medals. David offered, “I like Congressman Paul’s conservative-constitutional thinking. He’s a veteran and did not look for excuses not to serve. He’s not a flip-flopper.”
Cheshire County
CDR Michael Goldschmidt, USNR (Ret.), resides in Swanzey. CDR Goldschmidt voiced his support for Congressman Paul saying, “As a veteran who served 22 years, I take my oath to the Constitution seriously. I cannot give any candidate my vote that does not do the same. Dr. Paul consistently uses the Constitution as his guide when voting or acting on matters of state. Politics comes second, the Constitution comes first.”
Matt Primrose, who served in the Army, lives in Winchester. He attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. “After serving eight years with multiple combat deployments – Bosnia, Afghanistan, and two tours in Iraq – it is time to bring the troops home. Ron Paul will do this, and at the same time address the real issues of this country, our national debt being one of many. I stand beside Ron Paul, and couldn’t be happier to give him my vote this Tuesday,” said Primrose.
HillsboroughCounty
With combined service in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Coast Guard, John A. Jeskevicius spent 10 years in the military before settling in Manchester. Jeskevicius chose Paul for several reasons saying, “I support Dr. Paul because of his dedication to conducting the business of the country under the limitations set forth by the Constitution. He will be the greatest asset and motivator in the restoration of the Republic.” In addition John said, “I agree with Dr. Paul that getting our fiscal liabilities under control and abolishing the Federal Reserve is a paramount issue. Dr. Paul’s voting record is a testament to his defense of the limitations set by the Constitution.”
Manchester resident Joshua Holmes served for 5 years in the U.S. Army, leaving as a Specialist. He was deployed to Iraq twice, and earned the Combat Infantry Man’s Badge, and two Army Commendation Medals. Joshua was clear about why he will vote for the 12-term Congressman from Texas saying, “As a soldier who has seen combat directly, I understand that Ron Paul is absolutely right when he says that our troops should only be sent into harm’s way with a clear, achievable mission and a declaration of war as required by the Constitution. Unlike most of the other candidates, Dr. Paul served as an officer in the military and he understands the risks we take by putting on the uniform.”
Jon Forrester of Manchester served in both Iraq and Afghanistan in the U.S. Air Force as an E-4, enlisting in 2003 and ending his tour of duty in 2009. Forrester recalled, “When I first heard Dr. Paul speak, I was impressed with his honesty and strong convictions. He is a principled man who sticks to his beliefs and bravely brings up topics that are not necessarily popular, but must be discussed. I think the American people are looking for someone to lead who they can believe in, and I found that in Congressman Ron Paul.”
Merrimack County
Army veteran Matthew Perry of Hill was stationed in Germany and Fort Carson, Colorado from 1990-1993. Perry explained, “As a veteran who served honorably in the United States Army, I am supporting Ron Paul. He is the only candidate who understands that our endless wars in the Middle East are bankrupting this nation. Additionally, Dr. Paul advocates a foreign policy that follows the wisdom of both George Washington and Thomas Jefferson: maintaining a strong national defense that protects the interests and borders of the United States. Ron Paul is committed to helping those who have served and the troops returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan.”
Rockingham County
Newmarket Town Councilman Philip J. Nazzaro served in the U.S. Army from 1998-2008, attaining the rank of Captain. Said Councilman Nazzaro, “I support Dr. Ron Paul for President because he will keep this country safe, strong, and secure. He truly understands the oath of office all service members take, to support and defend the Constitution of the United States, and he will work to restore it to its rightful place as the supreme law of the land.” He added, “Ron Paul will restore honor to the oath again.”
Ken Akiyama of Derry ranked as a sergeant in the Army, serving from 2003-2008. Now a small business owner, Akiyama said Dr. Paul was the first presidential candidate he has ever supported. He explained, “I was drawn to him because of his unique understanding of the problems we face and courage to address the issues at the core of our national crises. The Federal Reserve is behind our economic crisis, and our aggressive and immoral foreign policy threatens our national security.” Ken further stated, “The Constitution is at the core of our freedom. More than any election since 1776, and more than any other issue, this election is about freedom.”
Stratford County
Bill Owens, a Marine Corp sergeant who served from 1984-1988, resides in Barrington. While on active duty, he was stationed in Okinawa for a portion of his service. Bill stated, “I support Dr. Paul because of his America-first stance. He wants to bring the troops home, stop aid to foreign countries for them to use to fight against us, and he wants to cut the budget to get us back on sound financial ground. He also wants to restore the personal liberties that have been taken away since 9/11. Ron Paul would stop trying to police the world and tell other countries how to live. He would instead focus on fixing the problems we have in our own country.”

Paul Closing the Gap with Romney
From International Business Times:
The New Hampshire Republican primary of 2012 may be a competitive race after all. In a shocking new Suffolk University/7NEWS poll released on Sunday, Ron Paul surged to 20 percent while Romney dropped to 35 percent.
The differential between the two candidates has now shrunk to 15 percentage points.
Previously, political pundits have all but written off every single Republican candidate not named Mitt Romney in the New Hampshire primary of 2012.
Romney dominated the Granite State’s poll early, pulling in:
41 percent on Jan. 1
43 percent on Jan. 2
43 percent on Tuesday
43 percent on Wednesday
41 percent on Thursday
40 percent on Friday
39 percent on Saturday
Paul, meanwhile, stayed in the teens while other candidates fared even worse.
Romney had the most money. He was the most credible anti-Obama candidate. He even scored the endorsement of 2008 rival John McCain, who won in New Hampshire that year…
A few days ago, it looked like New Hampshire might turn out to be a landslide victory for Romney and Paul would have to fight the war in South Carolina.
Now, it looks like the New Hampshire race may be a competitive one after all…

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, run neck-and-neck with President Obama in a general-election matchup, according to a new CBS News poll released late on Monday that shows the two front-runners in Tuesday's New Hampshire GOP primary running stronger against the president than their fellow Republicans.
Romney posts a two-point lead over Obama, 47 percent to 45 percent, within the poll's margin of error of plus or minus 2.8 percentage points. He leads Obama, 45 percent to 39 percent, among independent voters.
(CAMPAIGN 2012: Santorum Raises Polygamy in Defending Stand Against Gay Marriage)
Obama's lead over Paul is just one point, 46 percent to 45 percent, as Paul leads among independents by 7 points.
The president posts more significant leads over the other GOP candidates, but against each he is below the critical 50-percent threshold: He leads former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, 49 percent to 41 percent; former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman, 48 percent to 41 percent; Texas Gov. Rick Perry, 49 percent to 42 percent; and former Sen. Rick Santorum, R-Pa., 47 percent to 43 percent.
(ANALYSIS: Obamacare, Romneycare, Obamneycare--Never Mind)
Among all adults, just 45 percent of Americans approve of the job Obama is doing as president, slightly worse than the 47-percent approval rating he posted last month. Among independents, 38 percent approve of Obama's job performance, while 49 percent disapprove.
Results released earlier Monday among Republicans who said they intend to vote in their state's presidential nominating contest showed Romney running slightly ahead of the rest of the field, but nearly a third of Republicans are undecided or seeking a candidate not currently in the race.
(CAMPAIGN 2012: Paul Calls South Carolina a 'Nice Test')
The CBS News poll was conducted Jan. 4-8, surveying 1,413 adults, for a margin of error of plus or minus 2.6 percentage points. The poll includes a subsample of 1.247 registered voters.

Ron Paul running a solid second in New Hampshire
By Maria Recio | McClatchy Newspapers
Maria Recio McClatchy Newspapers
WASHINGTON — Republican presidential candidate Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, is pushing for a strong second-place finish in Tuesday's primary in New Hampshire, where his Libertarian-style campaign seems to resonate with the state's independent-minded voters and young people.
The latest Suffolk University tracking poll, released Friday, puts Paul at 17 percent, behind runaway front-runner Mitt Romney, a former Massachusetts governor who has a home in the Granite State and holds a strong lead with 40 percent.
But Paul's enthusiastic supporters say they expect a surge in the "Live Free or Die" state, home to the Libertarian Party's Free State Project, a movement to get thousands of people to move to New Hampshire from around the country beginning in 2004 to influence the political process.
"Many of the Republicans here are Libertarians," said Seth Cohn, a GOP state representative who moved to the Granite State in 2004 from Oregon as part of the Free State effort.
A Paul supporter, Cohn said, "I think it's a good state for him. I think he's about independence. He challenges the status quo on everything."
There's a special fondness for Paul among Libertarian-leaning voters because he was the party's presidential standard-bearer in 1988. Paul was a Republican congressman from Texas from the late 1970s until 1985, and he was elected again in 1996.
He's said he'll retire after this term and won't seek the Libertarian presidential nomination if he doesn't win the GOP nomination.
New Hampshire should give him a boost after his third-place Iowa caucus finish last week. Independents can vote in the Republican primary, which is significant in New Hampshire, where 40 percent of the electorate identifies as independent.
"Dr. Paul gets votes from both extremes of the New Hampshire electorate: Libertarians and young voters. I think he's at least going to double his performance from 2008," said Dante Scala, an associate professor of political science at the University of New Hampshire.
Paul had 8 percent of Granite State primary votes in 2008, but this election cycle has generated buzz for him with steady debate performances, edgy television ads attacking GOP rivals Newt Gingrich and Romney — blasting Gingrich for "serial hypocrisy" — and a beneath-the-radar Internet campaign fueled by college students.
"He's built his base of support. He's been a real presence," Scala said.
It's no accident that Paul's return to New Hampshire on Friday featured an evening appearance at the University of New Hampshire.
Paul, at 76 the oldest candidate in the race, has a feverish following among young voters, who communicate via Facebook for "meet-ups" around the state to promote the Texas lawmaker and create online "money bombs" to raise funds.
Recent reports that newsletters written under Paul's name in the 1980s and early '90s included racist and intolerant views — disavowed by Paul, who said he didn't write them — don't appear to have cut into his support.
Neal Conner, 25, a college student and computer technician who moved to New Hampshire from Sarasota, Fla., in 2009 as part of the Free State Project, plans to get up at 4 a.m. Tuesday as a ward captain for the local get-out-the-vote effort for Paul.
What's the Paul appeal? "The fact that he speaks his mind and speaks the truth," Conner said. "He's just refreshingly honest."
Supporters praise Paul's stance against the war in Afghanistan, as well as his civil libertarian views on drugs and personal behavior.
"Kids have a strong sense of right and wrong, where there's no gray area," said University of Maryland student Geoffrey Nye, who's 26.
Several Paul websites lit up last week over an opinion piece written by a nephew of GOP candidate and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum that endorsed Paul and blasted Santorum in the process.
"If you want another big-government politician who supports the status quo to run our country, you should vote for my uncle, Rick Santorum," said John Garver, Santorum's 19-year-old nephew, in The Daily Caller, an online conservative news site.
Santorum shrugged the slam as "a phase" and said he loved his nephew, who he said was the only one of his 35 nieces and nephews to support Paul.

Ron Paul New Hampshire Team Welcomes Additional ‘Small Businesses for Ron Paul’
Latest featured businesses located in Belknap, Carroll, Grafton, Hillsborough, Rockingham, and Sullivan counties
CONCORD, NH – The Ron Paul 2012 Presidential campaign announced today new members of its active “Small Businesses for Ron Paul” nationwide coalition. The new members conduct business in Belknap, Carroll, Grafton, Hillsborough, Rockingham, and Sullivan counties, all New Hampshire. Statements listed below were given by the new coalition members who agree with Dr. Paul’s prescription for achieving sustainable economic growth and lasting prosperity. This includes eliminating all unfunded mandates and removing unnecessary regulations on small businesses and entrepreneurs, as well as features of Ron Paul’s ambitious ‘Plan to Restore America.’
Belknap County
Noah Weiner has been doing business for 10 years in Meredith on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee, where he employs five people. Weiner states, “Dr. Paul is the only candidate that recognizes the seriousness of our situation and what needs to be done to put the power back in the hands of the people instead of conducting ‘business as usual.’ I have not found one fault with his proposed policies, cuts, and the like, and I support every decision he has made throughout his career.”
Carroll County
Tim O’Keefe has operated a spray foam insulation company for about five years in Wolfeboro Falls, where he employs four people. O’Keefe said, “I believe Ron Paul is the only candidate with a real plan for America. He understands just how devastating excessive government regulations and heavy taxation are to a small business owner. I would trust no other candidate than Ron Paul to make this country, and my small business, prosper again.”
Deanna Vallely has been serving diners in Ossipee for six years, where she employs four people. She voiced her support for Dr. Paul because she “appreciates that he is a strict Constitutionalist, and he says what he thinks honestly and without reservations. I am excited that he has risen to the top tier.”
Grafton County
Harry Stearns of Waterville Valley has been in the painting business for 30 years. He was first introduced to Congressman Paul by his teenage son, and said he felt an instant connection to the Congressman because his thoughts and beliefs are so similar to his. He said, “I was raised to live within my means, and truth and consistency do matter, even if it isn’t what you would like to hear.”
Hillsborough County
Ed and Barbara Aichinger of Bedford have owned their business for 20 years, where they employ eight people. They said of the congressman, “Dr. Paul is the only candidate that has a clear understanding of the economy and he can get us out of this financial mess. He predicted it, he understands it, and he can lead us back to prosperity.”
Paul and Rita Harrington have operated their business in Nashua for over 25 years, with thousands of independent distributors and customers. They declared, “We strongly support Dr. Ron Paul for President for his unwavering dedication to our Constitution and Bill of Rights. He understands what the role of the federal government should be and will make sure to limit the overbearing departments like the FDA, EPA, etc. He knows the purpose of the Constitution is to limit the power of the federal government not the American people.”
Carol Karsten of Antrim operates an Alpaca farm with the help of part-time contractors, and has been in business since 1998. Karsten supports the Texas Congressman because of his message of personal liberty. “I have known a great deal about Dr. Paul from my family’s experience having been among his constituents. The most important thing about Dr. Paul for me is that of all the people running for the U.S. Presidency, he is the only principled patriot that has taken his sworn oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States seriously, and has weighed all his votes in Congress in accordance with our precious Constitution.” Karsten continued, “Dr. Paul is the only person running whose foreign policy stance reflects that of our founders and he is the only candidate that has voted against the Patriot Act and against the recently enacted NDAA that shreds our Fifth Amendment as completely as the Patriot Act shreds the Fourth. As the owner of a small farm who deals with the onslaught of federal and state regulation, I know Dr. Paul’s positions on personal liberty as well as personal property are very important to continuing our way of life in the United States, as we know.”
Rockingham County
Consultant and entrepreneur Mark Carpenter voiced his enthusiastic support for Congressman Paul due to his strong support for his Constitutional views. In addition, he stated, “Ron Paul is Right. It’s the message that keeps coming to my lips at every turn.”
Dr. Christopher Suprock, of Exeter has been in business for four years in New Hampshire, where he hired three full-time employees. He articulated his support for Congressman Paul saying, “Dr. Paul is a scholar of economics and history. His solutions address the key failures of our government by returning respect for individual sovereignty and personal liberty. Paul courageously campaigns with a Libertarian philosophy of volunteerism, resourcefulness, and respect for ones’ neighbors. Respect for individual liberty also means we shouldn’t be so crass and manipulative with our international neighbors. The notion of blowback is real. Paul is the only candidate that recognizes the intimate connection between individual freedoms and the self-fulfilling dangers of an American empire.”
Sullivan County Tom Barton has been harvesting timber for four years from the Washington, New Hampshire area. Barton said of Dr. Paul, “I believe in constitutionally-limited government, economic freedom, individual liberty, personal responsibility, and a sane non-interventionist foreign policy. So does Dr. Paul.”

Paul Most Electable Against Obama
Reports National Journal (emphasis mine)
Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, run neck-and-neck with President Obama in a general-election matchup, according to a new CBS News poll released late on Monday that shows the two front-runners in Tuesday’s New Hampshire GOP primary running stronger against the president than their fellow Republicans.
Romney posts a two-point lead over Obama, 47 percent to 45 percent, within the poll’s margin of error of plus or minus 2.8 percentage points. He leads Obama, 45 percent to 39 percent, among independent voters.
Obama’s lead over Paul is just one point, 46 percent to 45 percent, as Paul leads among independents by 7 points.
The president posts more significant leads over the other GOP candidates, but against each he is below the critical 50-percent threshold: He leads former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, 49 percent to 41 percent; former Utah Gov. Ron Paul in Statistical Dead Heat to Defeat ObamaNew poll shows Texas Congressman within the margin of error to unseat incumbent President
LAKE JACKSON, Texas – 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul is in a statistical dead heat with President Obama, poised to unseat him in a hypothetical head-to-head contest, according to a new poll.
Paul in the poll garners 45 percent of the vote to Obama’s 46 percent, within the +/- 3 percent margin of error. Paul’s main competitor nationally, Mitt Romney, fares quite similarly against Obama earning 47 to 45 percent respectively, also within the margin of error. Paul’s fellow GOP aspirants Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich, Rick Perry, and Jon Huntsman all suffer defeats by margins beyond or well beyond the poll’s error margin.
Poll highlights include Paul handily besting Obama among independents by 47 to 40 percent, faring better among this key voter segment than presumed frontrunner Mitt Romney. In the case of all other GOP competitors, Obama wins the independent vote by percentage points at, within, or beyond the poll’s margin of error.
“We’ve called this contest a two-man race between Ron Paul and Mitt Romney, and this poll is further proof of that. It also demonstrates Ron Paul’s support among independents, an important voting segment within which our candidate is strong,” said Ron Paul 2012 National Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton.
The survey of 1,413 adults nationwide including 1,247 registered voters was conducted via telephone from January 4th to 8th.

Is CBS News Biased Against Ron Paul?
According to the latest Suffolk University poll Mitt Romney sits in first place with 33% in New Hampshire and Ron Paul is in second with 20%.
In a Suffolk University poll last week, Paul sat at only 14%, but he was still in second place–something you would not have known if you watched CBS News’ coverage of the NH polls last Thursday night. Here’s a snapshot of their television graphic:
http://c3244172.r72.cf0.rackcdn.com/..._Paul_CBS1.jpg
In fact, the report did not even mention Paul’s name once during the entire segment. International Business Times has covered some of the inevitable backlash to this obvious snub.
When Congressman Paul becomes President Paul expect CBS News to focus its White House reporting on the Vice President and Secretary of State instead.

A RESPONSE TO JB WILLIAMS' ARTICLE ON RON PAUL
By Timothy N. Baldwin, JD.
January 10, 2012
NewsWithViews.com
J.B. William’s article attacking Ron Paul, released on December 30, 2011 on NewsWithViews.com, perhaps deserves (I use the word loosely) a response. Williams’ assumes a lot and qualifies virtually nothing. He takes for granted the meaning and understanding of words like “conservative” and “liberal” and uses them to pigeon hole politics and pit people against Ron Paul. It is this kind of miniscule attention to detail that spreads misinformation and disinformation masqueraded as “fact.”
Let us consider Williams’ attacks on Ron Paul in order, and I will offer a critique for the sake of integrity in journalism and truth in politics.
1. Williams says, “Ron Paul remains totally MIA (Missing In Action) on Obama’s Article II ineligibility, which disqualifies Obama for office and every member of congress, including Ron Paul!”
This is a useless tool against Ron Paul and benefits no voters. There is not one Republican candidate taking on this issue. One has to ask, what difference does it make that Ron Paul is not leading the charge in this regard? If no one is taking on this issue as a part of their campaign, then everyone’s score is “zero to zero.” Williams’ use of “fact” is a tongue-in-cheek, sarcastic jab at Ron Paul as a “constitutionalist.” But this jab can be made universally to all the candidates; thus, this information is useless and irrelevant to persuade the voters and distinguish the candidates.
2. Williams says, “Mr. Constitution would know the primary function of the Federal Government is to protect and defend the United States against ALL enemies, foreign and domestic. – To do that in a 21st Century world, you better have one hell of a standing Military, which Mr. Constitution also opposes.”
Williams obviously mocks Ron Paul as “Mr. Constitution.” Williams steps outside of the objective and enters into the subjective and emotional. Williams’ credibility as an objective journalist diminishes significantly. We need less emotion in politics and more statesmanship. This mockery fails in that attempt.
As to Paul’s stance on defending the United States (while also supporting and defending the United States Constitution), Williams’ offers no support of his insinuation that Paul will fail at protecting the United States, and he offers no references as to what Paul’s plan is for the military and our entanglement in foreign affairs.
It is difficult to take journalism like this seriously when there is not one reference to a reliable source about Paul’s plan. Nor does Williams generate a comparative analysis of Paul’s plan versus the other candidate’s plan and how those plans conform to the constitution and to good policy as it relates to all of the factors affecting America right now (i.e. depressed economy, over-taxation, federal bureaucracies, unemployment, etc.). It amounts to, “ok, children, the sky is green because I say it’s green,” tautology.
3. Williams says, “Obama likes running unopposed. He has won every political race by eliminating his opponents, leaving him unopposed in the general election.”
What Obama likes has nothing to do with Ron Paul’s positions and his viability as an opponent.
4. William says, “Hillary Clinton was a lock for the DNC nomination in the 2008 primaries. Then the nobody from nowhere with a blank résumé and no birth certificate, stole the show. In the end analysis, the left always marches forward in lockstep, despite their many internal disputes. But the political right is more divided and scattered than ever in U.S. history, and they are no match for the unified international left that has already eliminated any real opposition for Obama in 2012.”
Williams makes an observation (“the political right is more divided and scattered than ever in U.S. history”) that offers a reality check about our political condition. Perhaps the reason for this so-called division is because the Democrat-Republican monopoly is finally starting to crumble and the people are getting sick of the same ol’ politics as usual.
Indeed, competition of ideas and real policy critique are resulting because of people like Ron Paul who are willing to think and act independently of political party. The spirit of independence was seen as a good thing in America, and political parties were seen as a potential hazard to that independence of thought. Attacking Ron Paul on these “divisive” grounds does little to convince the American who sees a problem with Democrat-Republican elitism corrupting what we want in leaders.
To Williams, marching in “lockstep” with the political party of choice is more important than one’s responsibility to the Supreme Law of the Land. Yet, for many people, Ron Paul’s breakup of the party monopoly is a long-awaited answer to prayer.
5. Williams says, “Ron Paul will not rule out a third-party run.”
So what? This has nothing to do with Ron Paul’s positions as a constitution-protector and nothing to do with his current candidacy as a Republican. Williams does not develop this thought at all but just throws it out there and presumably hopes that it will stick on the wall for people to draw their own (sinister) conclusions.
6. Williams says, “The Ron Paul campaign is built on a foundation of social liberals, chronic anti-war misfits, modern day peaceniks seeking legalized drugs, atheists, and Democrats and Independents with libertarian leanings. Nowhere in there is ‘conservatives…’ who oppose Paul as much as they oppose Obama. If Ron Paul were a constitutionalist, he would attract the conservative vote.”
Williams demonstrates the epitome of prejudice and incredibility on a political level. The tone of his statement rings of personal offense. Williams’ mis- and over-characterization of Ron Paul’s “foundation” should warn any person (who cares about logical argument) reading his article to be cautious about his premises and conclusions.
Williams uses only key-word titles as “proof” of his arguments against Ron Paul; terms like, “liberal,” “misfits,” “peaceniks,” “atheists,” “conservatives.” Perhaps Williams should have included a glossary of terms in his article, because these words have very little relationship in understanding and applying the Supreme Law of the Land.
America would be in better shape if we had more statesmen discussing the issues in light of constitutional argument and not through political labels used to dumb-down the thought process of choosing a candidate. Williams’ argument using this description amounts to a fifteen second commercial of a candidate explaining why you should “vote for me: I’m a conservative republican!”
And by induction of Williams’ random comments, the word “conservative” only includes those who would use the federal government to force “morality” on the people even though the U.S. Constitution leaves the matters of morality, health, property, contracts, marriage, etc., to the States. Williams’ attack on Ron Paul in this regard is as much an attack on the United States Constitution.
7. William says, “Ron Paul is at odds with conservatives on numerous key issues.
1. Paul supports same-sex marriage
2. Paul opposes the death penalty for violent criminals
3. Paul opposes mandatory sentencing for three-time losers
4. Paul supports legalizing illicit drugs
5. Paul opposes firm enforcement of immigration laws
6. Paul opposes free trade
7. Paul opposes a strong U.S. Military and National Defense
8. Paul opposes foreign diplomacy and prefers isolationism
9. Paul opposes stricter limits on criminal campaign finance
10. Paul opposes the Patriot Act, but also insists on letting terrorist live amongst us
11. Paul supported the arbitrary withdrawal from Iraq that resulted in deadly terror attacks hours later.”
Williams presupposes an “opposition” between Ron Paul and “conservatives”, even though he does not define the terms he uses repeatedly to try to prove Ron Paul is not “conservative.” And should Williams decide to define the term “conservative,” it would do America well to compare the term “conservative” with the original textualism and intention of the constitution.
When the President swears the oath of office, it is to protect the constitution, not someone’s subjective understanding of “conservative” or “liberal.” Are we not past the years when these terms are used as a basis for any understanding deeper than a Hallmark card?
Williams’ analogy of what Paul “supports” and “opposes” reminds me of the arguments made against the ratification of the United States Constitution. The argument went like this, “since the constitution specifically named items outside the jurisdiction of Congress to regulate (i.e. Bill of Rights), then all items not included in that list are subject to federal control.” That is, since item A through E was specifically excluded from their jurisdiction, the remaining items F through Z are included by implication. The Federalist Paper writers, of course, smashed that argument.
Williams’ illogical argument is similar against Ron Paul: since Paul will not use the federal government to create and enforce laws regarding marriage, drugs, and other domestic issues, he therefore supports gay-marriage, high crimes, stoned druggies, etc. If one is a supporter of the constitution, this should excite us—putting power back where it belongs, allowing the democratic process to reflect the will of the people in a more localized, controlled manner.
In reality, Ron Paul’s position mirrors what the Federalist Paper writers said concerning the powers to regulate the general welfare of the people: the States will retain “a very extensive portion of active sovereignty…[whose powers] are numerous and indefinite”; and the “powers delegated…to the federal government are few and defined” (James Madison, Federalist Paper 45). Apparently, to Williams, this is not acceptable.
Additionally, Williams mischaracterizes Ron Paul’s positions. Williams references no credible sources and gives the reader nothing to hang his hat on. He expects people to rely on his word alone. I would hope that people reading Williams’ article would do their own homework and find that his descriptions are inaccurate and distorting at best.
7. Williams says, “As a result, he cannot muster the conservative vote in November 2012, without which, he cannot defeat Barack Obama.”
This statement is based upon Williams’ own definition of “conservative,” whatever that is supposed to mean. Undoubtedly, these terms “conservative” and “liberal,” which describe people in a one-dimensional image, are not accurate to describe the true multi-dimensional makeup of America. Williams ignores the nationally-known cases where people see Ron Paul as the only true conservative. The pigeon-holing simply will not work in 2012. America needs more substance. Williams’ conclusion lacks any analysis based upon any facts.
8. Williams says, “Most of Paul’s ‘social conservative’ congressional votes are actually Tenth Amendment votes, which sidestep the actual issue at hand and redirect the discussion to states right. While conservatives are strong on Tenth Amendment states right, they are also strong on founding principles and values grounded in the moral laws of nature, at the foundation of our Constitutional Representative Republic. Paul is actually a liberal leaning populist candidate, rather than a Jeffersonian libertarian.”
I seriously question Williams’ understanding of or appreciation for the U.S. Constitution at this point. Williams tries to make Paul appear antithetical to the “founding principles and values grounded in the moral laws of nature…of our Constitutional Representative Republic”; however, it was that very generation that left matters of morality, police power, and domestic regulation to the States—the same matters Ron Paul says are the States to govern.
Williams also attempts to separate Paul’s political ideology from Thomas Jefferson’s. He does so in the attempt to disenfranchise those who would support Paul for his support of States’ rights. Yet, Williams does nothing to support his statement.
To Williams, it is not enough that the President of the United States would leave these matters to the States to regulate, as the constitution requires; he would rather use the President to enforce laws of morality even though that exercise of unconstitutional power goes against the “principles and values [which founded] our Constitutional Representative Republic.” Williams is more concerned about enforcing (federal) laws he likes as a “social conservative” than getting the country on the right track of constitutional governance.
Williams’ logic and conclusions are irreconcilable.
9. Williams says, “He has little in common with American conservatives and that presents a serious problem for him when conservative voters are looking to reverse course in America. Paul has been MIA on far too many constitutional issues to call himself a constitutionalist with a straight face.”
How Williams can make such a broad statement as to claim to know the characteristics of the “common American conservative” demonstrates a less-than-statesman approach. Williams displays the “he is not on our team” fallacy. Furthermore, Williams fails to acknowledge the Americans who would not place themselves into the two small pigeon holes used to control political outcomes.
10. Williams says, “Beyond lower taxes and less government, he has literally nothing in common with conservatives and even his smaller government leanings can’t work in a socially and morally bankrupt society.”
Within this statement Williams demonstrates Neo-Con ideology, wittingly or not. Williams says that Paul’s “smaller government leanings can’t work in a socially and morally bankrupt society.” This should warn every reader of a dangerous political philosophy.
Williams says that since “America is socially and morally bankrupt,” the federal government must be big and strong enough to police the United States because without it, America would decay into anarchy and chaos.
Williams’ suggested constitutional model was rejected in 1787 at the constitutional convention and follows the argument advanced by advocates of a monarchy: that is, people of large populations are incapable of adequately governing themselves and require an executive to rule over every aspect of their lives.
It is for this reason that Ron Paul is doing so well throughout the country. Americans want a President who is willing to put power back into the hands of the people. It is called self-government.
11. Williams says, “Then we have the issue of white supremacists and anti-Semites in his past. Remember, Obama must run unopposed… and the U.S. press will tear Paul from limb to limb long before next November.”
Again, William acts as a “drive-by” media and throws out a loaded statement with no evidence or credible references to support his statement.
12. Williams’ says, “Voters who grasp the reality that the nation is on the brink of total collapse and the world is on the verge of WWIII, are looking for who can defeat Obama and who might have the backbone to protect the nation from eminent danger on several fronts. I’m not sure such a candidate exists in the 2012 election, but I am certain that Ron Paul isn’t it. Facts don’t have any friends, but so far, Paul fans don’t seem too impressed by facts. Paul is unqualified for the job he seeks on this single issue alone! His anti-Semitism and poor-pitiful misunderstood jihadists, blame America first and often rhetoric should be enough to end his campaign… but do the facts matter anymore?”
Williams recognizes that the United States is in serious trouble, but he ironically fails to recognize that much of our troubles derive from a corrupted monetary system and the only candidate calling this fact out is Ron Paul. If there is a premier problem, it is in the area of economics and finance—a fruit of a bitter root most politicians are not willing to address.
Above all, Ron Paul is a proven statesman in this area and has identified the root of the counterfeiters and the evils within economic and financial institutions of the United States and World banks. Paul knows what it will take to rid us of these wrongs and to put America back on the path of social and financial-economic prosperity. It will take Ron Paul as President and governors in the States who recognize these matters to restore America to where it should and must be for a successful future.
If Williams does not recognize the seriousness of our monetary problems and Ron Paul’s obvious and fitting statesmanship and accuracy in this area, then it is no wonder he does not like Ron Paul.
Williams needs to know that Ron Paul only started what will continue until remedy is made in the matters of corrupted economics and finance, unjust foreign entanglement, and unconstitutional governance. Talk all you want about “social conservatism” and “military strength,” the United States will not be able to adequately solve and resolve any of major problems on any level without an economy to fund it.
Upon Williams’ conclusion, he makes a reference to “facts,” yet he barely refers to one fact in his entire article, which is based upon presumptions, presuppositions, mischaracterizations, and generalizations—without even a hyperlink to direct the reader to learn more about what Ron Paul would do as President.
I ask Williams the same question he asks, “do the facts matter anymore?,” with an additional question, “does the United States Constitution matter anymore?”

Veterans, Active Duty Soldiers To March On White House For Ron Paul <--- Link
Media ignores Paul’s service record and fact he has most donations from military

In a forthcoming event dubbed “Ron Paul Is The Choice Of The Troops”, thousands of veterans and active duty military personnel are expected to march on the White House in support of the Texas Congressman’s presidential bid.
The event, to be held on President’s Day, February 20th, is being organized by activist group Veterans for Ron Paul 2012, co-founded by Adam Kokesh, Iraq war veteran turned activist and talk show host.
In a press release, Kokesh announced that the march will progress from the Washington Monument to the White House, where those taking part will salute a “folded American flag [...] for as many seconds as troops have died under the Presidency of Barrack Obama.”
“The purpose of this event is to make it clear to the American people that Ron Paul is the choice of the troops and the candidate who will have the greatest support from those he would lead as commander-in-chief.” writes Kokesh.
“This is already evidence by the fact that Ron Paul has received more campaign contributions from active duty service members than all other presidential candidates combined, INCLUDING Barrack Obama.”
This statistic was once again confirmed last week with figures showing Paul has collected $95,567 from individuals who listed their occupation as one of the branches of the US military or US Department of Defense.
Donor Obama Romney Gingrich Paul Santorum National Guard $1,262 $0 $0 $4,068 $0 US Air Force $9,785 $4,400 $4,400 $23,736 $0 US Army $15,600 $3,500 $250 $24,503 $250 US Coast Guard $6,002 $0 $0 $3,716 $0 US Dept of Defense $27,613 $2,150 $0 $9,527 $0 US Marine Corps $1,700 $250 $0 $7,662 $0 US Military $200 $0 $0 $2,083 $0 US Navy $10,454 $3,000 $250 $20,272 $500 TOTAL $72,616 $13,300 $4,900 $95,567 $750
The latest analysis from the Center for Responsive Politics updates previous figures to cover the period between January to September 2011, and will be further updated to include the fourth quarter after the candidates file their year-end reports on Jan. 31.
The mainstream media often glosses over or completely ignores these facts. Indeed, following Sunday’s debate in New Hampshire, MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell touted John Huntsman’s military “credentials” after Huntsman noted that he had two sons actively serving in the Navy.
O’Donnell incorrectly stated that no other GOP candidate had served, completely ignoring the fact that Ron Paul served as a flight surgeon in the United States Air Force from 1963 to 1965 and then in the United States Air National Guard from 1965 to 1968.
When Ed Shultz attempted to correct O’Donnell by pointing out Paul had served his country, O’Donnell cut him off and ignored him.

Adam Kokesh notes that the organizers of next month’s march for Ron Paul will require proof of service from current or former military personnel who want to participate in the march. Family members will be invited to march behind the formation of service members, while supporters are encouraged to line the route to the White House.
For more information about the event, please contact Veterans for Ron Paul 2012 at VFRP2012@gmail.com or see the facebook event here.
Kokesh delivered a rousing speech in support of Ron Paul, close to the site of Saturday’s GOP debate in New Hampshire. Watch the entire speech below:

Media Circus Prevents Ron Paul from Talking with Voters in New Hampshire <--- Link

On Monday, the corporate media prevented candidate Ron Paul from talking with New Hampshire voters. Moe Joe’s Diner in Manchester was packed and a crowd of reporters and media people made it impossible for Paul to interact with voters.
CNN made it sound like Paul was ignoring voters, but as the video below reveals the media made it impossible for the congressman to talk to people.
It is not clear if this is a new tactic to prevent Ron Paul from interacting with voters in the key primary state, or if it is simply the result of a corporate media circus sideshow that is determined to make Paul out to be a lunatic with a following of fanatical supporters.

Press Blames Ron Paul For Media Swarm They Created

Establishment attempts to ostracize Independents from voting for Paul

The level of smear attacks against Ron Paul are getting so transparently agenda-driven that the press is now blaming Paul for spectacles they directly create, such as today’s media swarm in a New Hampshire eatery that forced Paul to abandon a planned meet and greet with voters.
Video at the Links
Planning to talk to supporters at Moe Joe’s restaurant this morning, the event turned into a “media scrum” with Paul barely being able to move as he was chased around the restaurant by swarms of photographers.
“Ron Paul: We have you surrounded. We are the media,” a strange man dressed as a wizard with an upside down black boot on his head blurted out through a megaphone.
“Paul decided to grant only one interview at the event, to Fox News’s Brett Baeir. Halfway inside his SUV, Paul took questions for about five minutes from the cable news anchor while reporters strained to hear his answers, then shut the door,” reports the Hill.
The Hill’s Josh Lederman managed to find someone upset at the incident and twist the whole spectacle so as to blame Ron Paul himself, quoting a woman whose 90-year-old mother had wanted to meet Paul.“She really wanted to meet him. She was really waiting to meet him,” said her daughter. “I think he lost some votes.”
“If I met him, looked him in the eye and liked him he would have gotten my vote tomorrow and instead I’m turned off,” Heller told CNN.
Heller, who voted for Obama in 2008, is now being quoted by innumerable mainstream news outlets in a bid to ostracize Independent voters from supporting Ron Paul.
The Guardian posted a You Tube interview with her, in which Heller is reluctant to admit that one of Ron Paul’s staffers actually promised her a private meeting, a fact that contradicts the attempt to portray Paul’s campaign as aloof and ignorant towards voters.
Respondents to The Hill story were vehement in their criticism of the media for creating the controversy out of nothing and then portraying Paul as the culprit.
“How did he lose votes because of this? The media swarmed him in a highly disrespectful manor and he takes the blame?” asked one.
“Why attempt to blame Doctor Paul for a media swarm? That makes no sense to me,” commented another. It’s just the latest in a series of bizarre smears against Paul, another of which is the media’s attempt to float the hoax that Paul’s health is on the wane despite the fact that he is known for being addicted to physical health and a regular bike-rider.

New Hampshire Press Endorses Ron Paul For President
Three State newspapers choose Paul over Romney
Steve Watson

http://www.csmonitor.com/var/ezflow_...A_full_380.jpg
Ahead of the New Hampshire primary next week, three of the State’s newspapers have endorsed Ron Paul for president.
The Littleton Courier, Berlin Reporter, and Coos County Democrat all announced today their support for Paul, citing Paul’s consistentcy and legitimacy on major issues.
“Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney has been in the lead for months,” wrote the editors, “but voters still seem desperate for an alternative — there’s always another candidate pulling stronger or almost as strong numbers in the polls. Voters have lost faith in Obama, but they are not sold on Romney to replace him.”
Congressman Ron Paul, however, “has never voted to raise a tax and voted against all of the bailouts that have riled up Tea Partiers and Occupy Wall Streeters alike,” they continued. “His prediction that the United States can no longer afford the economic cost of our overseas commitments makes many Republicans uncomfortable, possibly by the very truth of the assertion. For decades he has been that rare sort of politician who speaks what he believes to be the truth and doesn’t flutter in the wind of public opinion. That could not be said of Obama or Romney.”
“Powerful leaders like Franklin Roosevelt and Ronald Reagan change the political landscape,” the editors concluded. “This is what Ron Paul would do for our country and why we support him.”
Two debates are scheduled to take place in New Hampshire prior to the primary next Tuesday. Ron Paul will be in attendance at both events.
The first, an ABC/WMUR sponsored debate to be held at the Dana Center at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, is scheduled for this Saturday at 9:00 p.m. Eastern.
The second debate is an NBC News/Facebook and Union Leader sponsired event, to be held at Chubb Theatre at the Capitol Center for the Arts in Concord. The debate will air on the NBC network as a special edition of “Meet the Press” and will stream live on Facebook.

Romney Says the Magic Words …
Tuesday, 10. January 2012
Turning the Magical Mega Dollar Wheels
http://www.boilingfrogspost.com/wp-c...110_Romney.pngWhen it comes to elections and political fundraising there are certain magic words, sentences and phrases. Of course I am not talking about ‘increasing employment’ or ‘creating jobs.’ Those lines are used later- after the competition is almost ended, and the deal becomes pretty much a slam dunk. No. I am talking about the real political ‘magic words.’ As you know, as soon as they utter those magic words and make those pledges the money magically starts flowing into their campaign sack. And by that I don’t mean peanuts. I don’t mean humble individual contributions by voting citizens. I am talking about ‘serious money;’ magically serious, that is. I am talking millions; not in Lira or Peso, but in US dollars. You get it; no?
Okay. Mitt Romney just started using some of those magic words- magical lines. Let me give you an example, sure to bring some of those mega magical dollars into his camp.
On his website Mitt Romney suggests that the victim of Russian aggression would be, improbably, Central Asia. A Romney administration’s policies, he writes, would:
Deter Russian ambitions to its south by enhancing diplomatic ties, increasing military training and assistance, and negotiating trade pacts and educational exchanges with Central Asian states.http://www.boilingfrogspost.com/wp-c...entralAsia.pngMagical indeed. You don’t have to read in between the lines. Just read the lines and you’ll see the mega dollar signs in the eyes of … who? Okay, let’s play it dumb and slow in case there are some MSM readers are among us reading this post. We want them to get it to. Special treatment.
So, Romney says he will ‘increase military training and assistance’ for all these Central Asia nations. Meaning:
We’ll give these Central Asian countries billions of dollars of our taxpayers’ money and ask these nations to turn around and hand those billions of dollars to our military industrial complex (MIC) and purchase their products: missile, guns, helicopters, F-16s, tanks …Wow. Romney has mastered delivering all those promises with so few magical words! I see those dollar wheels turning manically in the eyes of MIC-OIL-Intelligence Industrial Complex. Don’t you?! Now, let’s sit back and watch those mega magical dollars flow into Romney’s already half-full campaign sack. Shall we?
We’ll give them training and a protection umbrella as in: We’ll establish more and bigger military bases in those countries, thus benefit our MIC by a few more billions of dollars.
We’ll negotiate (read pressure them into) better ‘deals’ aka ‘trade pacts’ with these countries. Basically we want to have our oil industry to get, control and manage all their oil-gas-mineral resources, rather than …let’s say China, or, Russia. Meaning, ongoing billions of dollars for our oil-energy and transportation giants…
We’ll have more ‘educational exchanges’ with these countries. Hmmmm, what kind of ‘education’ do we provide to that part of the world? Oh, right. We’ll put our NGOs in there and have them create and disseminate propaganda news/information created and dictated by our State Department and their master. We’ll control (aka ‘help them with’) their schools-universities by actually running their indoctrination process in conjunction with their (our) puppet dictator regimes. And of course we’ll have our CIA and extended operatives educate and train their governments and police forces in modern torture, rendition, secret assassination, censorship … practices.

“Ron Paul’s is actually spectacular and he’s got the track record to back it up. He wants to cut a trillion dollars right off the bat and then cut some more going further. He wants to get rid of five agencies. He wants to get rid of corporate subsidies. He wants to get rid of a lot of foreign aid. It’s very impressive, what he’s got, and I think he means it.”

Ron Paul Celebrates Historic Second Place Win in New Hampshire Primary
“We urge Ron Paul’s opponents who have been unsuccessfully trying to be the conservative alternative to Mitt Romney to unite by getting out of the race and uniting behind Paul’s candidacy.”LAKE JACKSON, Texas – Ron Paul tonight scored an historic second-place victory in the 2012 New Hampshire Primary. Below please find comments from National Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton:
“Ron Paul tonight had an incredibly strong second-place finish in New Hampshire and has stunned the national media and political establishment.
“When added to Paul’s top-tier showing in Iowa, it’s clear he is the sole Republican candidate who can take on and defeat both Mitt Romney and Barack Obama.
“The race is becoming more clearly a two-man race between establishment candidate Mitt Romney and Ron Paul, the candidate of authentic change. That means there is only one true conservative choice.
“Ron Paul has won more votes in Iowa and New Hampshire than any candidate but Mitt Romney.
“Ron Paul and Mitt Romney have been shown in national polls to be the only two candidates who can defeat Barack Obama.
“And Ron Paul and Mitt Romney are the only two candidates who can run a full, national campaign, competing in state after state over the coming weeks and months. Ron Paul’s fundraising numbers — over $13 million this quarter — also prove he will be able to compete with Mitt Romney. No other candidate can do all of these things.
“Ron Paul is clearly the conservative alternative to Mitt Romney as the campaign goes forward.
“We urge Ron Paul’s opponents who have been unsuccessfully trying to be the conservative alternative to Mitt Romney to unite by getting out of the race and uniting behind Paul’s candidacy.
“Ron Paul has the boldest plan to cut spending, a dedication to protecting life, and a lifelong dedication to the Constitution and limited government. He also has the necessary support to campaign nationwide against Mitt Romney.
“Our campaign is already planning ahead for South Carolina, Florida, and beyond. Soon Ron Paul will head to South Carolina to begin a feverish round of campaigning.

Jon Huntsman Was for Cap and Trade Before He Was Against It
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=kNpkUa8B-RM
From Buzzfeed:
“Jon Huntsman strongly backed cap-and-trade legislation to stop global warming. In 2007 he cut an ad, with Arnold Schwarzenegger, calling for Congress to cap carbon emissions. In the 2008 Utah Governor’s debate, he said he would strongly support cap and trade legislation. But Huntsman has reversed his position and told Sean Hannity last year he only supported the policy because everyone was doing it at the time.”
Said Huntsman in 2008:
We must put a value on carbon. Until we put a value on carbon, we’re never going to be able to get serious about dealing with climate change longterm. Now putting a value on carbon either suggests that get a carbon tax or you go to a cap and trade system. Now we as western Governors and head of the Western Governors Association, and as the head of the Western Governors Association, I’m doing my best as the leader of this group to develop a comprehensive energy program that we’re going to turn over to the next President of the United States. Which will include issues of affordability, issues of energy independence, and issues of sustainability. When I speak of sustainability I talk about ultimately a cap and trade system…”

Today I decided to try out a daily bible reading app on my phone. Well, wouldn't you know it, the following passage (James 1:25) comes up as the passage for today which I found rather interesting:
But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing. So, for all of you out there working to promote liberty, be happy knowing that you are blessed.
