Young Super PAC millionaire moguls vow to rid the GOP of war mongers, big spenders Brat PAC

Submitted by joeinmo on Wed, 10/31/2012 - 09:57 Found this on the front page of yahoo:

Youngest Super PAC millionaires vow to rid GOP of neocon filth and war mongers.

What would you do if you were a college student who suddenly came into millions of dollars?

Founding a Super PAC may not be the first thing that comes to mind, but that's exactly what John Ramsey did when his grandfather died, leaving him with a generous inheritance. That inheritance made the 22 year-old Ramsey one of the youngest Super PAC financiers in the world.

Ramsey, who supported Ron Paul's presidential campaign, joined forces with 23 year-old Preston Bates to found the 'Liberty For All' Super PAC. Their goal is to elect so-called "freedom candidates" — like minded people who support limiting government and promoting civil liberties, although they bristle at being labeled libertarians. Liberty for All, which some have taken to calling the 'Brat PAC,' has already contributed over $3 million dollars to national congressional races since it began seven months ago.

As I sit here in sunny Arizona and read about millions still without power, I am just really thankful that we are preppers and our people have what they need to make it through for the most part. I find it HUGELY reassuring. And for this I am just really thankful. I don't have to worry myself sick about you. I mean guys, but for you this would be a whole lot worse.

The rest of the nation is getting a stark lesson on why we prep. Maybe people will be taking us a little more seriously from here out.

    A WORD ABOUT THE ELECTIONS

    By Chuck Baldwin
    November 1, 2012
    NewsWithViews.com

With the 2012 Presidential election just a few days away, it is almost superfluous for me to engage in any kind of in depth discussion, as most people cannot, for the life of them, get past the political theater that is currently crescendoing to a climax. Therefore, I will simply provide readers with a few passing thoughts regarding the elections next week.

I think Mitt Romney will somewhat comfortably win the Presidential election. This will cause "conservatives," Christians, and most Republicans to go into a state of deep hibernation, which will allow Romney to wreak havoc upon the Constitution and liberties of the people. In 2012, Barack Obama is the "Boogeyman" that must defeated at all costs. But the fact is, with the exception of Romney's more business-friendly approach to economics, the differences between Obama and Romney are negligible.

As I have noted in previous columns, the differences between Mitt Romney and Barack Obama are miniscule on virtually every salient issue. They both supported TARP; they both supported Obama's economic stimulus package; they both supported so-called assault weapons bans and other gun control measures; Obama has an "F" rating from Gun Owners of America, while Romney has a "D-" rating from GOA; neither man supports a balanced budget; neither man opposes foreign aid; they both supported the bailout of the auto industry; they both have a track record of being big spenders; they both fully support the Federal Reserve; they both oppose a full audit of the Fed; they are both supporters of universal health care; both men are showered with campaign contributions from Wall Street; neither of them wants to eliminate the IRS or the direct income tax; both men are on record as saying the TSA is doing a "great job"; they both supported the NDAA, including the indefinite detention of American citizens without due process of law; they both supported the renewal of the Patriot Act; they both believe that the President has "executive power" to assassinate and kill; both support the "free trade" agenda of the global elite; they are both soft on illegal immigration; they both support NAFTA and CAFTA; they both have a history of appointing liberal judges; they both believe the President has the authority to take the nation to war without the approval of Congress; and neither of them has any qualms about running up more public debt to the already gargantuan debt of 16 trillion dollars.

Judge Andrew Napolitano nailed it when he said, "Barack Obama loves Big Labor; Mitt Romney loves Big Business; but they both love Big Government."

Steve Baldwin (no relation) agrees. Steve is a former California State legislator and former Executive Director of the Council for National Policy. He said:

"As someone who was asked by one of the presidential candidates to investigate Romney's gubernatorial record, I can assure you there is little in Romney's background to suggest he will be a Reagan-type president willing to undertake bold action to save our economy and restore our culture. I know every bill he signed and every statement he made as Governor. I know who his appointees were and the liberal vision that governed his actions. As Massachusetts Governor, he sided with the big government types in every crisis he faced. Indeed, he repeatedly sold out constitutional rights--freedom of religion, the 2nd amendment, etc., every time he had the opportunity to do so.

"He raised taxes on the private sector, destroyed job creation when he implemented RomneyCare, and came out in support of amnesty for illegal aliens. Most of his judicial appointees were to the left of Obama's two appointments to the Supreme Court. As governor, he led the country in advancing three of the left's most sacred issues: Cap and Trade, socialized medicine and gay marriage. Romney even supported Obama's bailouts and the useless $8 billion stimulus. And he's hostile to the notion of engaging in serious budget cuts, telling one reporter, 'I'm not going to cut $1 trillion in the first year.'

"Let's not also forget that Romney's advisors actually met with Obama's advisors on a dozen occasions to assist them with designing ObamaCare! It's no surprise that Romney is refusing to call ObamaCare a tax, even though it's the largest middle class tax hike in American history. The reason for this is because, while governor, his RomneyCare plan--the model for ObamaCare--was attacked as a tax and he argued it wasn't.

"In other words, ObamaCare has been taken off the table as a campaign issue because Romney is afraid of being portrayed as a hypocrite for his past statements on this issue. This is reason number 167 why Romney should never have become our nominee.

"I don't care how his campaign portrays him today, his record as Governor is far more indicative of how he will govern than his campaign sound bites. If you're not familiar with what I am disclosing about Romney, it's because the truth about Romney was kept from Republican voters. Yes, the conservative movement sold out to Romney. Starting in 2004, Romney created a slew of PACS and foundations that funneled thousands of dollars to hundreds of conservative groups, think tanks, grass roots leaders and GOP entities.

"In return, many of these entities that normally would have attacked Romney during the presidential primary went silent or even promoted him. I've tracked all of Romney contributions to conservative and GOP groups and it's disgusting. It means that the leadership of our own conservative movement is up for the highest bidder and cannot be trusted to do the right thing. Even National Review, the nation's leading conservative publication, took money from Romney and for the last six years blocked all articles critical of Romney. Instead, they published a slew of articles portraying him to be a conservative superstar. It was all phony and I can prove it."

Even though Romney will promote at least 85% of the Obama agenda, conservatives have no fear or trepidation of Romney because he is a Republican, whereas Obama scares the pants off of them because he is a Democrat. Ah, don't you just love partisan politics?

Therefore, as I said, absent massive vote-fraud, Romney will be our next President. But he will do NOTHING to stem the tide of coming disaster. Romney will be a military hawk of the highest order. And while corporations doing business with the military-industrial complex will reap huge profits, America's continued foreign interventionism is going to bring us to the brink of World War III. Furthermore, it is the "we are at war" mantra that is used to justify a burgeoning police state in America, which Romney will enthusiastically continue to implement. And unlike the Democrat Barack Obama, the Republican Mitt Romney will have little resistance--except from a Democrat-controlled Senate.

Republicans will maintain control of the House of Representatives, which is probably a good thing; Democrats will probably control the Senate. Between the two, I had much rather have Republicans control the House, because trying to find honest-to-God freedomists among Republican US senators (you could count them on two hands) is like trying to find hen's teeth. Again, Romney isn't going to appoint freedomist judges anyway, so that argument is moot.

But if the first six years of this century proved anything, it proved that neither major party in Washington, D.C., can be trusted with control of both chambers of Congress and the White House. That is a recipe for disaster!

At this point, I must remind readers that the reason Barack Obama was elected to begin with was due to the eight years of the phony-conservative G.W. Bush administrations. Americans were disillusioned and angry over Bush's huge spending habits at home and his military adventurism overseas. I predict a Mitt Romney presidency will have the same effect. As with G. W. Bush, Mitt Romney will disappoint and anger the American electorate, which will pave the way for another leftist (Hillary Clinton?) to prevail in 2016.

    "And the beat goes on."

At some point--maybe toward the end of Romney's first term--the chickens are going to come home to roost. Neither major party has the guts to do what it takes to put America on a solid financial footing. They are both beholden to too many parasites that are sucking the life's blood out of our country. And neither party will do a darn thing to stop this fascination with empire that is putting our troops in killing fields all over the world. The result: it's only a matter of time before the inevitable happens. And just about anybody with half a brain knows it!

It would be nice if a few states would elect freedomist governors, attorney generals, sheriffs, legislators, senators, secretaries of State, etc., next Tuesday. At the end of the day, freedom is going to be won or lost at the State level anyway. My son, Tim Baldwin, is running for a Montana House seat. Here is his website.

I know of a handful of other freedomists in Montana and around the country who, if elected, could make a real difference in their respective states. We'll see.

So, if it makes you feel better, vote for Mitt Romney. He's probably going to win anyway--but it won't matter! But, by all means, when you find a for-real freedomist to vote for in the other races, be sure you do that, because that WILL matter!

Jim Willie: Central Bank Gold Rehypothecation Scandal to Take Gold to $5,000/oz

    • The battle is on for delivery and verification for official gold accounts
    • Evidence grows that much of it is gone, and when demanded, replaced with urgency
    • It is soon to transform into a global gold war
    • The German Government gold demand to the London and NY City bankers represents a big escalation in the gold war
    • The central bank coordinated QE to Infinity has brought questions of gold account location and integrity
    • The Allocated Gold Account scandal is a natural event to follow the LIBOR banker scandal
    • QE3 will assure a gold rise past the $2,000 mark, but the new scandal will take the gold price to $5,000
    • The powerful gold factors are aligned and in place, led by permanent ZIRP and unlimited QE

A nasty Golden Harp could soon have its cords plucked, with the resonance working to shake loose the bankster cover of improper illicit duplicitous and probably highly illegal usage of Allocated Gold Accounts.

When diverse scattered accounts are pilfered and depleted without authorization in Switzerland, resulting in several multi-$billion class action lawsuits in Zurich, all kept dutifully out of the news, that is one thing. But when a few key official government gold accounts are ransacked in systematic fashion from established trusted locations, defying and betraying the trust of the German Government and other national governments, that is quite another.

To be sure, the system can tolerate ransacking and replacing with scurried harried efforts the Venezuelan gold account, like in 2011. The media told the story with creativity and aplomb, avoiding the truth, inventing a tale, but finding a credible pile of dung to feed the public, which swallowed it whole. The global monetary war has been raging for four years, ever since the Lehman Brothers firm was targeted and destroyed with planning and motivated execution, for the benefit of Goldman Sachs full CDS redemptions and exploit by JPMorgan in war chest reload under cover of bankruptcy court orders.

The media prefers regularly to refer to the global financial crisis incorrectly and improperly. A crisis passes after a year or so. This war lingers like WWI and WW2 and Vietnam, with a clear emerging agenda to defend the USDollar regime from global isolation shun, to conceal the USTreasury Bond support mechanisms in derivatives, to avoid the US banking system from grotesque insolvency but kept afloat by grand money laundering channels, and to motivate an endless war to secure resource thefts and control that center on oil fields and the poppy fields. Witness the slow gradual inexorable collapse of the global monetary and financial system.

'Memo to Central Banks: You’re debasing more than our currency'

Submitted by VR on Fri, 11/02/2012 - 10:49
    Economy

A History Lesson, by Dylan Grice, Societe Generale

At its most fundamental level, economic activity is no more than an exchange between strangers. It depends, therefore, on a degree of trust between strangers. Since money is the agent of exchange, it is the agent of trust. Debasing money therefore debases trust. History is replete with Great Disorders in which social cohesion has been undermined by currency debasements. The multi-decade credit inflation can now be seen to have had similarly corrosive effects. Yet central banks continue down the same route. The writing is on the wall. Further debasement of money will cause further debasement of society. I fear a Great Disorder.

I am more worried than I have ever been about the clouds gathering today (which may be the most wonderful contrary indicator you could hope for...). I hope they pass without breaking, but I fear the defining feature of coming decades will be a Great Disorder of the sort which has defined past epochs and scarred whole generations.

“Next to language, money is the most important medium through which modern societies communicate” writes Bernd Widdig in his masterful analysis of Germany’s inflation crisis “Culture and Inflation in Weimar Germany.” His may be an abstract observation, but it has the commendable merit of being true … all economic activity requires the cooperation of strangers and therefore, a degree of trust between cooperating strangers. Since money is the agent of such mutual trust, debasing money implies debasing the trust upon which social cohesion rests.

So I keep wondering to myself, do our money-printing central banks and their cheerleaders understand the full consequences of the monetary debasement they continue to engineer? Inflation of the CPI might be a consequence both seen and measurable. A broad inflation of asset prices might be a consequence seen, though not measurable. But what about the consequences that are unseen but unmeasurable – and are all the more destructive for it? I feel queasy about the enthusiasm with which our wise economists play games with something about which we have such a poor understanding.

Tom Mullen: Support for Kill List and NDAA Make Both Romney and Obama Unfit for Office

    Election 2012
    Quicklink

    by Thomas Mullen

TAMPA, November 2, 2012 – It wasn’t so long ago that the following statement could only appear in a dystopian novel or movie script:

The U.S. President has killed an American citizen without due process, without even charging him with a crime. His decision to do this has been challenged by members of neither party.

While the media-fueled frenzy goes on about how supposedly different Romney and the conservatives are from Obama and the liberals, no one even raises an eyebrow about this terrifying political development.

Not even the left, which quite correctly howled at passage of the Patriot Act and the Bush administrations’ other assaults on freedom.

Bush and the Republicans committed egregious crimes against liberty, but did not go near this far in violating the even more important right to life.

Judge Rules in Favor of Troops in KBR Lawsuit: Defense Contractor Guilty of Negligence

Portland rules in favor of the troops. Now it would be great if the Appeals Court will favor the rulings also and do it quickly.

Oregon Live: In a potentially precedent-setting verdict, a Portland jury found defense contractor KBR Inc. was negligent, but did not commit fraud against a dozen Oregon Army National Guard soldiers who sued the company for its conduct in Iraq nine years ago.

Magistrate Judge Paul Papak announced the decision about 3:35 p.m. the U.S. Courthouse in Portland. Each soldier was awarded $850,000 in non-economic damages and $6.25 million in punitive damages.

"It's a little bit of justice," said Guard veteran Jason Arnold, moments after the verdict was announced Friday afternoon. Arnold was one of four of the soldier-plaintiffs in the courtroom was the verdict was read.

The verdict should send an important message to those who rely on military troops, he said.

"We're not disposable," said another soldier, Aaron St. Clair. "People are not going to make money from our blood."

GOP in Deep Trouble, Ron Paul Looking Good

    Ryan W. McMaken
    Lew Rockwell Blog
    Nov 7, 2012
Romney lost today to a guy who is overseeing a horrible economy, prosecuting unpopular wars, and who can barely string 5 words together without a teleprompter. This was the best the Republican Party can do. Not only are the Republicans evil, they’re evil and contemptible losers, which is far worse.

The biggest losers tonight are of course people who value peace and freedom, but we would have also lost if Romney won. The GOP is right up there in the loser category, however. The GOP lost seats in the Senate, and did little to improve its position in the House. It has served up two ridiculously bad nominees in a row, claiming “electability” and then going down in flames.

Rand Paul certainly came out of this looking very bad as well. He fell in line behind the party masters, banking on some advantage to be gained through an endorsement of Romney. He ended up just looking politically un-savvy and unprincipled. There is little to be gained either, from playing ball with a Party that as inept as the GOP at this point.

It’s not beyond the realm of possibility that the GOP may actually show sign of disintegration in the next several years. The GOP has ceased to present any sort of actual alternative, and worse yet, it can’t run a winning candidate. Once that happens, the coalition that makes up your political party will begin to fall apart.

The Ron Paul movement is a big winner here. The GOP told the libertarians in the party to get lost, and the GOP paid for it. Interestingly, both Iowa and Nevada, where Ron Paul supporters gained control of the state party, both went to Obama after the Romney campaign actively fought to disenfranchise Ron Paul supporters. I guess the GOP got what it wanted there.

There is exactly one movement that offers any real opposition to the status quo, and it ain’t the conservative movement, which is on life support and entering a permanent vegetative state. Ron Paul’s libertarian movement, brimming with well-educated young people is the only thing left standing. The GOP operatives who predicted a big victory tonight just look pathetic.

On foreign policy, if it proves to be true that Obama is truly reluctant to engage in the mass murder of Iranians, that may be a victory there all by itself. Time well tell on that one.

And finally, when the economy enters a deep recession in a couple of years (or sooner), it will be good that Obama will be in office. You all know how it would have gone otherwise: After a couple of years of Romney misrule, the media will decide that Romney was the candidate of “free markets.” Then, mired in a depression, our wise overlords will declare that “we tried that free market thing, and look what happened.”

Several ‘Ron Paul Republicans’ win closely contested House races

    Daily Caller
    Nov 7, 2012

Texas Republican Rep. Ron Paul will retire from Congress next year after serving for 12 terms, but several Republicans influenced by the iconic libertarian-leaning lawmaker will be arriving to take his place.

Thomas Massie won the race to replace retiring Kentucky Republican Rep. Geoff Davis, beating Democrat Bill Adkins by 20 percentage points. Massie, an ally of Paul’s son, Kentucky Republican Sen. Rand Paul, raised nearly 10 times as much money as Adkins, according to the Lexington-Herald Leader.

Michigan Republican Rep. Justin Amash, who was already vying to be the House’s next “Dr. No” in his first term, was re-elected with 58 percent of the vote. Democrat Steve Pestka had hoped to win the votes of independents and moderate Republicans who might regard Amash as too extreme, but failed to gain traction against the 31-year-old congressman.

In a neighboring Michigan district, Ron Paul Republican Kerry Bentivolio was elected to the House seat formerly held by GOP Rep. Thaddeus McCotter. McCotter, who had failed to gather enough valid signatures to appear on the ballot, resigned from the House amid a petition scandal. Bentivolio beat Democrat Syed Taj.
