I've listed below a number of letters and blurbs I put together regarding the DREAM Act, in hopes that it may be of use to some of you looking for material to e-mail and fax to Senators. If you can use any of this, please use any of it you find useful to send out as soon as possible to the Senate.
Let's hammer them with correspondence, but also, don't forget phone calls!!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Senator __________:
After the American people made it loud and clear that we rejected amnesty for illegal aliens just a few short months ago. Now the Senate is back with more amnesty, just this time using the piece-meal approach. I am speaking about Dick Durbin’s DREAM Act.
Once again, Senator, NO AMNESTY FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS IN ANY WAY, SHAPE OR FORM!!!
Are you going to stand with the vast majority of Americans and reject amnesty or will you work for the benefit of illegal aliens?
Senator, a vote for Amnesty will place the scarlet “Aâ€
Good grief Zeezil were you up all night? Roflmbo

Thanks, Zeezil, I have been doing so much calling emailing and faxing I am seeing double and have voice mail messages echo in my head. HOWEVER, I feel better for having done it although I am pretty burned out.
LETS CONTINUE TO OVERWHELM
them with NOs!!!!!!!!! :x :x
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!! :) :)
Thanks for your hard work April & everyone! We have to let them know next week that the American people do not want the Dream Act amnesty -- we do not want illegality rewarded !
Thank you for your hard work, Populist! :)Quote:

They seem to be slow learners but eventually if we remain persistent they will get the message!
Here's a thought for targeting your calls on the DREAM Act. Below is a list of the Senate vote on the final cloture motion for the Grand Amnesty Compromise S. 1639. All those that voted NO are the most likely to vote NO on the DREAM Act. You may want to consider hitting those that voted NO on cloutre first and foremost:

zeezil- Thanks again for your letters. All of them are great.
I HAVE A QUESTION: WHEN EMAILING THE SENATORS, I AM GIVEN SEVERAL SUBJECTS TO CHOOSE FROM ON THEIR EMAIL FORM. DO I USE IMMIGRATION OR EDUCATION FOR THE "DREAM ACT"? I HAVE BEEN USING "IMMIGRATION".
I use immigration, as well butterbean. It's really an amnesty immigration ploy rather than an educational initiative, although Tricky Dicky Durbin and his entourage try to hide the amnesty be saying it's only a narrowly tailored educational initiative to "immigrant minors".Quote:

Thanks for aswering my question. My husband happened to notice that I was choosing "immigration" and asked if it should really be under "education". After debating back and forth about it, I told him I was going to ask a fellow Alipacer. Now I feel better about my choice. :)Quote:

I just checked; the "other side" have been calling these senators. We have to counterattack!
Can you believe the 2 cosponsors are Republicans???? I'm going to call and say I am a Republican voter (even if I'm not; I'm independent). If we can fill their voicemails with opposition, maybe the cosponsors will withdraw. CALL! CALL! CALL!
Thanks for the letters, zeezil! I've been sick, so I haven't been able to do much of anything since Wednesday. I will certainly put your letters to good use. All of you patriots rock!
Senator Lugar is a sell-outQuote:

He always has been one. I have no idea how he stays in office. I call and call his office and still the man votes in favor of "ILLEGALS". Both senotrs in this state need removed.

Great information, Ex_OC. Thanks for your involvement and activism!
The Oregon Statesmen newspaper has just publised today an Op-Ed piece on the DREAm Act that looks like it was either written by La Raza or an La Raza wannabee. It's easy to post comments to the article, after registering with their boards. The Dreamies have been posting their Pro-Amnesty comments already there. I've just added two of my own. If you want to take a breather from all the contacting you've been doing with Senators, check out this link:

TIP FROM THE "OTHER SIDE": PRESS # TO BYPASS THE LONG GREETINGS.

OK I had company yesterday that completely messed up my day, long time friends headed for Az for the winter 8O why would they want to do that? Did get some faxes out while visiting but know calls.
Does anyone have any reports on whose voice mail is full so we can save some time, I still have alot of faxes to do also.
This is going to be a very busy week so lets start out right by giving them our most adamant opinon on, as far as we are concerned what should be the closed subject of amnesty. Quit trying to shove it down our throat!!!![/b]
FILL THOSE VOICE MAILS WITH YOUR MESSAGES SO OUR OPPONENTS CAN'T!!!!!
Bored with your own opening call line? Tired of the same ol' same ol' tag line? I am! So I am going to use these variations:
"Hi. My name is ______. I am a LEGAL IMMIGRANT and I am calling to..."
"Hi. My name is ______. I am a HISPANIC-AMERICAN and I am calling to....."
Please feel free to borrow them.... You can also replace "Hispanic"-American with other nationalities. Very versatile, no? LOL!!
SoSAd, press the # key to bypass and zip to the end.Quote:

Checking in and making calls. Glad to see others are too. I wouldn't spend too much energy on Sens. Durbin, Lugar and Hatch; target those who haven't taken a position yet on this amnesty.
Please include Sens. Cornyn and Hutchison in your calls. They apparently have not committed yet. You may have to leave messages with their state offices (check their websites).
Thanks everyone for your work !
OK. thanks all, haven't run into any full boxes yes\t 8O alittle amazed actually!!!
WE NEED CALLS!!!PLEASE CALL!!!
Yes, PLEASE CALL. And include Sen. Mary Landrieu of Louisiana who was the only Dem to vote against funding for sanctuary cities last week (thank her for that, and urge her to oppose the Dream Act), and include these senators in your calls (these Democratic Senators have tended to break with Democratic leadership and vote against illegal immigration in the past) but voted for sanctuary cities last week:
Senators:
Tester (Mont.), McCaskill (Mo.), Webb (Va.), Dorgan (N.D.), Nelson (Neb.), Byrd (W.Va.).
Dreamies are comin out of the shadows in force to post their propaganda in regards to today's DREAM Act article in The Oregonian Statesman newspaper. If you need a break hop on over there and post a comment of your own. My post on it is 10 positions above this one.
Mel Martinez' mailbox is FULL. Call him first thing Monday, Oct. 22.
Trent Lott's mailbox is FULL too. Call him first thing Monday Oct. 22.
You can post this excellent editorial from a Chinese-American in the comments thread in its entirety or use parts for points in our calls:

Zeezil, I am kicking it up a notch by saying "As a Legal Immigrant and a Hispanic-American, I feel S 2205 is unfair and just not right, especially for millions of people like me who did it the hard way, the legal way. Thank you for your support!"Quote:
