Reid Files Motion to Bring DREAM Act to the Floor!
Call Your Senators NOW!
Things are moving at warp speed on Capitol Hill—there is no time to lose! Last night Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) filed a motion to bring the DREAM Act (S.2205) to the Senate floor. A cloture vote to proceed on the bill could come as early as WEDNESDAY MORNING!!!

The DREAM Act will grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliens and help them pay college tuition at taxpayer expense. Please note that S.2205, unlike some versions of the bill, now has an age limit of 30. There is, however, NO CAP on the number of people who may receive amnesty under the DREAM Act. Moreover, to make even more people eligible for amnesty under the program, Homeland Security may waive the following offenses:

Failure to show up in court;
Obtaining visas by fraud;
Alien smuggling;
Document fraud;
Violation of student visas;
Marriage fraud;
Falsely claiming citizenship;
Voter fraud.

Once an illegal alien applies for legal status under the DREAM Act, he or she may not be removed—FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER—while the application is pending. Furthermore, the educational requirements in the bill are virtually meaningless as Homeland Security may waive the application of them if the alien can show "compelling circumstances for the inability to complete the requirements." And, illegal aliens who obtain amnesty under this bill will likely become eligible for in-state tuition and for federal financial aid.

According to Senate staffers, the first vote on the DREAM Act will be a cloture vote to bring the bill to the floor. If that succeeds, the bill will then be debated and may even get worse with the potential addition of damaging amendments. Then there will be a second cloture vote to end debate on the DREAM Act itself. PLEASE CALL YOUR SENATORS IMMEDIATELY AND URGE THEM TO VOTE NO ON BOTH CLOTURE VOTES.

Tell your Senators that if they were serious about true immigration reform, they would not be rewarding illegal activity, but instead would:

secure the border;
mandate employment eligibility verification;
put an end to state and local sanctuary policies;
stop businesses from importing cheap foreign labor; and
end chain migration.

Maybe we should add to the comments we leave with staffers that we know that they are meeting with illegal aliens. We could ask them when they quit representing the American people and those who elected them and started representing those who violate our laws and are citizens of other nations. Who is the electorate?

We might ask if they are meeting with drug dealers, murderers, gang members, rapists, etc. today to cut a sweet deal for them too.

Sen. Durbin (D-Ill.), Sen. Lugar (R-Ind.) and Sen. Hagel (R-Neb.) have invited Senators and their staffers to a meeting at 3 p.m. today to learn why they need to pass the DREAM Act amnesty on Wednesday.

In case that isn't clear enough, anybody who "would benefit from the DREAM Act" is an illegal alien.

Should anybody in the world hold back from trying to come here illegally now that they see that illegal aliens can hang around our Capitol itself with no fear of arrest -- and be embraced by our elected officials.

Last week, the Senate voted to protect Sanctuary Cities and their policies to shield illegal aliens. Today, some Senators apparently are declaring the Capitol an illegal-alien sanctuary!

We have now reached this point where the immigration lawlessness that has characterized the border for 20 years, that has suffocated our Southwestern states, south Florida and hundreds of neighborhoods across the country has now moved into the federal Capitol itself -- invited by U.S. Senators!!!

If you think the champions of anarchy have gone too far this time, pick up a phone over lunch and call your two U.S. Senators ! and dema nd that they commit to vote NO on cloture tomorrow on S. 2205.

Nichole at Senator Hutchinson's Office said that she could not confirm a meeting with illegal aliens today at 3PM. I wanted to remind the Senator that she was not voted in by illegal aliens but by the American people. NO to the Dream Act amnesty.
