On August 4, 2014 The Orlando Sentinel's Mark K. Matthews reported (click to see article) that Daniel Webster spoke at length about his plan to give illegal aliens, currently prohibited from seeking citizenship as a deterrent in our federal laws, a path to citizenship.

Congressman Daniel Webster was considered a 'swing voter' on amnesty for illegals and his speech and interview with the Orlando Sentinel was a bow to pro amnesty groups that planned to lobby Webster over a 5 week recess from Congress.

Pro illegal alien Amnesty groups like America's Voice quickly praised Representative Daniel Webster for his announcement in support of 'immigration reform' and attributed his conversation to the side of the invasion and US Chamber of Commerce to groups like the Florida Immigrant Coalition (FLIC).

On August 8, 2013 ABC News (click for article) further confirmed Daniel Webster's support for changing America's existing immigration laws to accommodate millions of illegal immigrants and the companies that employ them earning Webster more praise from invasion groups.

"We sincerely believe Congressman Webster wants — and will do — the moral, right and smart thing," said Maria Rodriguez, executive director for the Florida Immigrant Coalition.

While American groups that support our existing border and immigration laws instead of any form of amnesty that would permanently undermine them were dismayed...

Reaction was less enthusiastic in the "anti-amnesty" crowd.

"I don't know what's wrong with these politicians. I'm very discouraged," said Jack Oliver of the group Floridians for Immigration Enforcement.

Though he said he appreciated Webster's focus on enforcement, he warned that hasty efforts to provide a path to citizenship could have political consequences. As an example, he cited the criticism levied against Rubio by some conservatives for his role in passing immigration reform in the Senate.

"If Dan Webster wants to jump into the frying pan with [Rubio] and get burnt, then that's his decision," Oliver said.

Daniel Webster also made a bunch of the usual worthless promises about securing America's borders, stopping illegals from getting jobs in the future, and empowering local police to help enforce his 'new immigration laws'.

Not only were these same promises made and subsequently betrayed by the 1986 Amnesty legislation that is responsible for America's current 12-20 million illegal aliens, but it should be clear to all that if citizenship is given to more than ten million illegal aliens there will never be any immigration or border law enforcement for America in the future.

Right now, more than 80% of America's legal citizens want our border and immigration laws enforced and we can't get that from the elites in DC! Any form of amnesty changing our existing laws to accommodate millions of illegals with citizenship and voting rights like Congressman Daniel Webster suggests will only permanently debilitate America and leave us all helpless as wave after wave of millions of more illegal immigrants flood our country!
