Devin Nunes Amnesty Support Summary

Devin Nunes has been identified as a supporter of amnesty for illegal immigrants on the Laura Ingraham Show (Click Here for Audio)

Nunes was added to ALIPAC's GOP Traitor List in July of 2013 when the San Fransisco Chronicle contacted Nunes to conduct a poll about which lawmakers supported immigration reform amnesty for illegals. At that time, Devin Nunes was the only Republican from California to indicate he supports a path to citizenship for millions of illegal aliens in America!

Davin Nunes is probably motivated to support amnesty for illegal immigrants for two reasons...

First, over half of his district is Hispanic and large numbers of illegal aliens are already committing felonies by voting in California elections. These felony voters usually vote 8 to 1 Democrat according to studies by the Pew Research Center. Therefore, Nunes is trying to appeal to voters who vote based on race identity issues and for illegal alien voters which some members of the GOP believe they can attract in the future.

Second, Devin Nunes district is a heavily agricultural district and the farmers in California are some of the last remaining Republican voters. Many of these farms rely on illegal immigrant and hyper legal immigration level employers.
