Anti-Illegal Immigration Group Says Trump Siding With George Soros

A leading anti-immigration group says President Trump is siding with left-wing financier George Soros and other “globalists” by supporting amnesty for the 800,000 illegal aliens covered under the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
The Trump administration announced this week that it would be gradually rolling back DACA but Trump has called on Congress to pass legislation codifying DACA, and said that he might “revisit” the issue if Congress doesn’t pass such legislation by the six-month deadline.
Trump offered additional reassurances Thursday morning, tweeting: “For all of those (DACA) that are concerned about your status during the 6 month period, you have nothing to worry about – No action!”
Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC), a group that opposes amnesty for illegal immigrants, claimed Trump is betraying his base by pursuing amnesty.
The group sent out a statement Thursday morning ripping Trump’s “unexpected efforts to make DACA Dream Act Amnesty permanent in America through legislation backed by Obama, Jeb and GW Bush, Pelosi, Reid, George Soros, and other globalists.”
“The media and Democrats can’t take Trump’s base away, but he can by continuing his support for Amnesty for illegal aliens which makes him a liar and a hypocrite that has betrayed his base,” said ALIPAC president William Gheen. “We are people that donated, volunteered for, and voted for Donald Trump because we support the existing border and immigration laws of America. Trump’s recent statements in support of Amnesty for illegal aliens is sending shock waves through his base.”
ALIPAC’s statement added that “Trump is supporting the very same Amnesty legislation and policies as his corrupt predecessors!”
ALIPAC supported Trump’s presidential campaign, but has since cooled off as Trump has been slow to fulfill some of his biggest campaign promises on immigration, leading the group to rescind its endorsement of Trump in May.

For Heaven's sake some of you patriots, stop making excuses for Trump. The only chance of winnng we have is to pounce on him hard and make him feel the pain. We must withdraw our support in mass to put the fear of God into him about playing games with us and footsie with our enemies. We must make him feel alone, isolated and without anyone to protect him. Then he will be scared into behaving himself. He can not survive without us. We must prove that he will only have our support by fulfilling his promises to us and fight without compromise for what we want.

Please stop with the theories about some brilliant super secret Trump strategy to justify his broken promises. I have heard many such theories before and they always prove to be wishful thinking.

Thank you for saying this! I just looked at all the Trump supporter comments beneath this article's post on the Daily Caller Facebook page and it is scary over there.

One, many Trump supporters appear to be completely blind on these issues and willingly blind to anything Trump might do. Two, they are desparate to not face the music on this and are coming up with any excuse. Three, many of them are attacking the source like socialists do. I guess it is human nature.

Now, we need to figure out if we can save these Trump supporters from being led to their own doom by the man they are worshiping.

Where is Trump on his PROMISE to set up Safe Zones and get these refugees OFF our soil?

    Another broken promise.

Europe does not want these people either. Why aren't our countries getting this done!

They are only here "temporary"...start getting them out of here.

Safe zones were for Syria. They're done and working great. Trump put Russia in charge of it and they've done a really good job. Courts blocked Trump's travel ban, so we're stuck with some refugees. The courts also further restricted the revised travel ban the other day to include relatives. Nothing more we can do with that seems to me, except continue to reduce the annual number. There will be a new number for the coming year and we should lobby for a reduction from the 50,000 to 20,000. Below is an article about the safe zones in Syria.

Inside Syria's safe zones, Russia and Assad hold the cards

    By Frederik Pleitgen, CNN
Updated 12:40 PM ET, Mon August 7, 2017

Quneitra, Syria (CNN)It was once one of the most violent battlefields in Syria, but standing at the front line in the center of Quneitra, in the country's southwest, newly-established safe zones are bringing a welcome respite from the bloodshed.

Until recently, this town was divided by brutal fighting between pro-government and rebel forces. Now tanks sit idle in the streets and soldiers have, for the most part, put their weapons down. It is one of three places where a ceasefire brokered by the Trump administration, Russia and Jordan has been in effect for around month.

The truce was announced after a meeting between US President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Hamburg in early July.

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said that the agreement to establish de-escalation zones in Syria's southwestern regions of Darra, Quneitra and Suwayda -- where the US and Jordan wield a lot of influence among moderate rebel groups -- could be a precursor for further military cooperation in Syria.

    Fighting halted

Like most ceasefire agreements, very few gave it a chance of succeeding initially, but a month on, at least here in Quneitra, the truce is holding -- most of the time.

"The fighting has significantly decreased and you totally notice that," a Syrian officer told CNN, the first Western media to be given access to Quneitra.

CNN was not able to enter the rebel-held areas, which encompass a little less than half of the town, because the front line is still in place and there is no direct communication between the two sides.

But officers say problems arise when groups like Nusra Front, the former al Qaeda affiliate, which also has fighters in the area, break the ceasefire.

"We don't hear shelling anymore, but sometimes groups like the Nusra Front break the truce. Nusra is not part of the agreement. If they shoot, we have to retaliate," the officer said, standing just yards from the front line.

He added that even these breaches have become rarer and don't seriously violate the truce here.

The front line still divides Quneitra, but there is virtually no fighting at the moment, the regime says. Soldiers are relaxed as they go to their battle positions.

The front line still divides Quneitra, but there is virtually no fighting at the moment, the regime says. Soldiers are relaxed as they go to their battle positions.

But despite the US' involvement in securing the ceasefire, many residents and Syrian government troops give Russia the credit for brokering the truce.

"Russia has helped a lot, they laid the groundwork for the ceasefire -- they have the most power," the Syrian officer said.

"So many people fled! The situation was so bad! So yes, it is much better now," agricultural worker Nasir al Sayyed said as he loaded wheat into a threshing machine on the outskirts of town.

"If America would have wanted to solve this they could have done so a long time ago," he added.

US strategy yields power to Russia

Russia is now arguably the dominant force in many parts of Syria.

As well as brokering the ceasefires in three areas of southern Syria, its forces have also secured truces directly with opposition forces in various areas of Syria, including Talbiseh, a key location north of Syria's third largest city, Homs.

But allowing Russia free rein in large parts of Syria comes with its drawbacks. It means the Russians will operate on their own terms, and critics say many of the ceasefire agreements Moscow establishes amount to little more than the surrender of the anti-Assad forces.

Additionally, the Russian military has been criticized for what has been dubbed a sledgehammer approach to their air campaign, leading to a large amount of civilian casualties, the UN says.

But the Trump administration's coordination with Russia has also led to major gains on the path to America's main goal: crushing ISIS.

Russia more openly involved in Syrian civil war

The ceasefires around the country are freeing up units of the Syrian army and their affiliated forces, allowing them to be redeployed in a big push against the terror group.

"Fighting ISIS is now by far our biggest priority," a senior Syrian military official told CNN.

US-backed forces -- like the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces -- and the Syrian army have clearly divided up the battlefield. While US-backed forces are launching a major push to oust ISIS from Raqqa, the Syrian army is active in eastern Hama province, while a major offensive to expel ISIS from Deir Ezzor, a less well-known but major stronghold of the terror group, is also underway.

"Our major goal is to reach Deir Ezzor," another Syrian military official told us. "We will not put a time frame on it but our forces are fighting very hard."

One reason for the urgency is that an enclave of Syrian government forces has been holding out -- encircled by ISIS -- right in the heart of Deir Ezzor. Other Syrian military units are also fighting their way east from Palmyra and are currently involved in a brutal battle against ISIS in a town called al Sukhna, a crossroads town considered a gateway to Deir Ezzor.

Assad's grip on power is growing

The White House's pragmatism may seem somewhat surprising considering Trump called Syrian President Bashar al-Assad "a butcher" after the US accused him of carrying out a chemical attack on his own civilians in April. Tillerson has also repeatedly said there is no place for Assad in Syria's future.

Many more people are coming out in regime-held areas and more shops are open.

But the truth is Assad's grip on power is firmer than at any stage during the war, which has ravaged the country for more than six years.
The Russians appear to have no interest in removing the Syrian president, and ceasefire agreements like the one in Quneitra are helping the Syrian army to regroup and rest many of its soldiers.

Residents in regime-held neighborhoods says that the truce has had an almost immediate impact on the quality of life in the town, with shops reopening, and more people venturing out of their homes without fear of nearby violence.

Barber Hadi al Asaad has more customers now. He hopes things will return to the way they were before the crisis with the ceasefire.

In one area of town, CNN saw streets teeming with people. One barbershop was back in business with both soldiers and civilians crowding in to get their beards trimmed.

"We want this to be solved for good," said barber Hadi al Asaad. "We just want our lives to be the way they were before."

We do not want to be stuck with any of these refugees.

They must all go back and be reunited with their relatives on their SOIL. Same with Europe...start deporting.

Temporary "status" is a joke and another way to pull the wool over the American taxpayers eyes to keep them here permanently. Back door immigration with a path to stay. No more lies!

Then we need to DEMAND no more refugees, no more asylum and no more illegal aliens for the next 20 years...pass that damn BILL.

Then we need to push to withdraw from the UN Refugee Program, which I totally 100% support, because as things stand now, the federal court system including the US Supreme Court won't even uphold US Immigration Law let alone grant our demands or what Trump wants to do with them. As you recall, the first thing Trump did was announce his travel ban and has been sued every day since, just like what is happening now with his decision to end DACA 2012. The DACA 2012 suit is based on racism against Mexicans and failure to post the termination in the Federal Register for the 30 day or whatever the period is for public notice and comments. I don't know if a termination of the program requires posting in the Federal Register, I know renewals of the DACA 2012 were required, but whether or not a rescission is, I don't know, probably any change of that magnitude renewal or cancellation requires it, except with an expiration, then it wouldn't be because there is no action to give notice of because no action is taken, it just expires by its terms.

    All sticky wickets.

You're right, Trump is shooting himself in the foot with this aligning with the Democrats for an illegal immigrant amnesty.

Germany alone has 390,000 requests for family reunification - so 2-10x the numbers taken in - part of the plan. So much for merkel's "they will return to their countries after the wars". And the USA "refugees" muslims, central americans etc will ask for the same.
