Thread: ALIPAC Alert! A YES vote on Cloture is a VOTE for Amnesty

ALIPAC Activists,

Hundreds of new supporters have signed up in the last 24 hours! The American Legion, representing 2.7 million American veterans is moving into action against this amnesty bill with us. The talk radio shows across America are condemning this bill, while large numbers of very angry Americans are calling Washington.

Several staffers in Washington are telling us that the overwhelming number of calls they are receiving about this bill are negative. Don't forget to ask this question about the call ratios, when you call and please place any feedback you receive from staff in our Discussion Groups area at www.alipac.us

For those of you that are new to this, we have our core activists online 24/7 in the Discussion Groups at ALIPAC that are ready to assist you and answer any questions as you make your calls.

We need to pump up the volume and increase the number of calls being made today.

When these offices close, please continue your calls and fill the voice mail systems in both DC and their district offices with messages!

WE ALSO NEED EVERYONE TO BE READY TO LAUNCH A MAJOR PHONE AND EMAIL CAMPAIGN STARTING AT 8AM EST / 5AM PST on Monday Morning! Do not stop until you hear that a Cloture vote has been cast.

We need you to send a very clear message. "Please vote No on Cloture for this Amnesty bill. This bill is AMNESTY! I will consider a YES vote on Cloture to be the same as a vote FOR AMNESTY!"

For each member of the Senate you call and e-mail, please do your best to contact...

1. Their DC Office
2. Their District Offices (Don't let district staff redirect you to DC)
3. Contact their campaign offices or websites.

On Monday, can someone keep an eye on C-Span? S1348 should be called for a Cloture vote and each Senator's vote will follow. You can hear how your Senator votes realtime online, cable or satilite.

Senator Dole's office in Greenville closed at noon. Will keep trying her DC office, lines are busy.


Just spoke with Raleigh, NC office (919) 856-4630. The woman who answered the phone said most of the calls are in opposition of this amnesty bill. Dole is opposed to it as well.
