ALIPAC Endorses Rep. Mo Brooks to Replace Sessions in Special Election

Americans for Legal Immigration PAC is endorsing Congressman Mo Brooks (R-AL) in the special primary election to be held on August 15, 2017, to chose the successor to outgoing Senator Jeff Sessions.

All ALIPAC supporters are now being asked to vote, volunteer, and donate in support of Mo Brooks on Aug. 15, and the Senate race endorsement of Brooks has been added to the ALIPAC Endorsements page. (View)

Jeff Sessions in now serving as the Attorney General of the United States and his Senate seat is held by Senator Luther Strange (R-AL) whom ALIPAC believes will serve Washington, DC, special interests instead of the American public on immigration issues. When Mo Brooks announced his run, the DC establishment immediately attacked with pro-illegal alien Amnesty backer Mitch McConnell's (R-KY) super PAC, the Senate Leadership Fund, leading the attack on Brooks!

Representative Mo Brooks has been endorsed and supported by ALIPAC activists since 2010 when he completed a candidate survey and pledge promising to "oppose any form of Amnesty or path to citizenship for illegal aliens, including Comprehensive Immigration Reform which would turn millions of illegal immigrants into voters thus destroying future borders of America." (View Survey and Pledge)

Many American activists fighting against illegal immigration feel that Mo Brooks is even stronger on these issues than Jeff Sessions!

Brooks will face at least four other GOP candidates in the August 15 primary, including incumbent Sen. Luther Strange (R-AL), former Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore, State Rep. Ed Henry, and the Christian Coalition’s Randy Brinson. A runoff, if necessary, will be held on September 26, and the general election will be held on December 12.

"It is vital to the effort to save America from this socialist backed illegal immigration overthrow of our elections and republic that we elect a very strong voice that supports our existing immigration laws instead of Amnesty. Mo Brooks clearly has the strongest record against illegal immigration," explained William Gheen, President of ALIPAC. "We have supported Senator Sessions because he was often a lone voice of reason in the US Senate standing against the Gang of Eight Amnesty legislation that betrayed American workers and taxpayers. Now, we need Americans in all 50 states focusing their attention, volunteer efforts, and donations towards the goal of electing Rep. Mo Brooks as a border hawk successor to Sessions."

Mo Brooks is a Duke University and Alabama School of Law graduate, commercial litigator, former legislator, assistant district attorney, district attorney and county commissioner. He has steadfastly campaigned against unsustainable budget deficits and drift from free enterprise to socialism, and for stopping illegal aliens, stopping tax increases, repealing government-run health care, and stopping Cap & Trade.

The non-profit organization NumberUSA gives Congressman Mo Brooks straight A+ ratings for his efforts to curtail illegal immigration and visa programs that harm US workers. (View Candidate Report Details)

Heritage Action Scorecard rated Brooks the most conservative member of the Alabama delegation in the 112th Congress (2011-2012). With an 83 percent rating, he was slightly higher than the Alabama delegation’s second-most conservative member by the Heritage Action Scorecard at 77 percent: Sen. Jeff Sessions.

In the 114th Congress (2015-2016), Brooks’ 94 percent rating placed him in second place in the Alabama delegation, barely behind Rep. Gary Palmer at 95 percent, but higher than Sen. Jeff Sessions, whose rating was 78 percent.
