ALIPAC Issues Statement About NC High School Supporting Illegal Aliens

Americans for Legal Immigration PAC is issuing the following statement today in support of the group NCFIRE and the Tea Party groups that plan to protest the decision of Concord High School to aid and abet illegal aliens by allowing the Mexican consulate to issue bogus ID cards to illegal aliens on the morning of Saturday September 25.

The protest will be outside Concord High School 8-12am at 481 Burrage Rd (The intersection of Miramar St NE and Stadium Dr NE) in Concord, NC. The purpose of the protest is to raise awareness of citizens that Concord High School is using taxpayer resources to help illegal aliens obtain bogus ID needed to remain unlawfully in the US.

"It is a violation of federal law to aid illegal aliens in America and only illegal immigrants need the matricula consular cards issued by the Mexican government to their citizens at these kinds of events," said William Gheen, President of ALIPAC. "Legal immigrants and American citizens do not need these bogus matricula cards and a taxpayer funded high school is an improper location for Mexico to aid illegal aliens. It sets a very bad example for our school children."

ALIPAC believes that the actions of the Concord High School and Mexican Consulate constitute violations of Section 8 USC 1324(a)(1)(A)(iv)(b)(iii) of the Federal Immigration and Nationality Act. This Act clearly states it is a violation of federal law applied to anyone who "conceals, harbors, or shields from detection" or "encourages or induces an alien to come to, enter, or reside in the United States, knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such coming to, entry, or residence is or will be in violation of law" or "aids or abets the commission of any of the preceding acts"

"Concord High School is taking advantage of our unenforced federal immigration laws. Since illegal aliens are the only people in America that really need a matricula card, it is clear that Concord High School will be aiding and abetting illegal aliens that need bogus ID documents to remain unlawfully in the US at this event," said William Gheen. "We hope Concord High School will follow the example set by the Cumberland County Community College and cancel this event."

NCFIRE (North Carolinian's For Immigration Reform and Enforcement) , led by James Johnson, has called for a protest to be held outside of Concord High School on Saturday September 25, from 8-12am. Attendees are encouraged to bring American, North Carolina, and Gadsen flags only along with tasteful signs and banners. Several other NC groups including many Tea Party groups are now supporting the protest.

ALIPAC is circulating information about the planned protest and ALIPAC's President, William Gheen, hopes to attend to show his support for NCFIRE's efforts and his opposition to bogus ID cards being issued to illegal aliens in American high schools.

ALIPAC will also request that members of the Concord police department and the Cabaruss County Sheriff's department set up a license checkpoint near the school Saturday morning since there is strong reason to believe that illegal immigrants will seek the services offered at the school and NC and surrounding states have recently taken steps to prevent illegals from having driver licenses.

"We want to know if the illegal aliens attending this event are still getting licenses and tags in NC or from nearby states," said William Gheen. "We hope the local police will conduct a license check to make sure that everyone coming and going from Concord High School is sober and properly licensed." We also want more police on hand Saturday due to the statistical increased risk of criminal behavior by illegal aliens documented in other states, and because some of those seeking bogus ID from Mexico may be fugitives seeking new identities and alias's."

Matricula ID cards are not issued in Mexico. The Mexican government dispenses them to Mexican citizens, legal and illegal, inside the US. Few background checks or verifications are done and the ID is so bogus that even Mexican banks refuse to accept the Matricula as a valid form of ID.

North Carolina residents are encouraged to contact Concord High School ( (704) 786-4161) and members of the Cabaruss County School Board to respectfully request they cancel Saturday's event since bogus ID will be issued to illegal aliens on school property.

This is insane. Police or ICE need to set up a checkpoint at this location. These people are thumbing their nose at our federal law and it can't stand.

I live in Seattle Washington and I still called the phone number posted (704) 786-4161 and informed them that I DO NOTsupport in any way Concord High School aiding and abeting illegal aliens by allowing the Mexican consulate to issue bogus ID cards to illegal aliens on the morning of Saturday September 25. I also emailed them at CHS@cabarrus.k12.nc.us to let them know the same. :!:

Citizens protest mobile Mexican Consulate

CONCORD – Members of a local group gathered outside Concord High School Saturday morning to protest an event with the mobile Mexican Consulate.

The group, NCFIRE, said the consulate is helping illegal immigrants get the paperwork needed to stay in the U.S., adding those documents would also help them apply for drivers licenses, social services like food stamps and register to vote.

"And that's it, there's no verification that the information they gave them was valid, there's no check to verify they are who they say they are," said James Johnson, president of NCFIRE.

Consulate General Carlos Flores said those statements are simply untrue. He said these events merely help Mexican nationals obtain or renew documents such as Mexican passports and ID cards.

"It's very important if you want to travel, if you want to identify yourself, if you want to be identified as you should be identified by the authority," said Flores.

NCFIRE also complained about the consulate using a public school to hold Saturday's event.

In response, officials with Cabarrus County Schools issued a statement saying the district, "endorses the goals of the community schools act, which encourages the use of school facilities by community groups."

It went on to say that the system, "...supports the work of community organizations in their efforts to provide information to the public."

Hundreds Turn Out For Mexican Consulate In Concord

Concord, N.C. -- Hundreds of Mexicans living in the Charlotte area were able to get assistance with getting passports and identification cards from their country.

The Mexican Consulate of the Carolinas sent a mobile team from Raleigh and set up shop at Concord High School on Saturday morning.

Protesters were also on hand. Some of the opponents were with the group North Carolinians of Immigration Reform and Enforcement, or NC FIRE.

James Johnson, with NC FIRE said, "The school board and high school has allowed agents of a foreign government to come on tax payer paid property and hand out what we consider to be false documents."

Carlos Flores, Mexican Consul General for the Carolinas, said they came to the area to help Mexican citizens expedite getting Mexican passports and Mexican Consular identification cards. Johnson said, "What they are not doing is verifying any information that they are being given by these people as to whether its truthful or not."

Flores said, "We review meticulously, every application form and we make sure all the requirements are met."

Opponents also believe the event was also a means to help illegal immigrants get unsecured identification that will allow them to stay in the United States illegally. But Flores said they had no need to ask people at the event about their immigration status in the U.S. because their focus was only dealing with their documentation as Mexican citizens.

Sonya Martinez, an American woman married to a Mexican National said she knows from personal experience having access to these kinds of documents is important. "When I went to Mexico I had to go to the American Embassy over there to get my paperwork because when I crossed the border they didn't check my passport so I had to go to American Embassy to get my paperwork." She continued, "So if they weren't there, I'd be stuck." Martinez who attended the event to support her Mexican friends said, "It's very important that they are here to help the Mexican people get their paperwork for their country."

Flores said the Mexican Consulate of the Carolinas has done about 10 mobile events so far this year. There are more events planned in Raleigh and North Charleston, South Carolina.

Opponents with the group NC FIRE said their goal is to get the Mexican Consular Identification cards outlawed in North Carolina.

This was the 11th mobile event this year held by the Mexican Consulate in Raleigh, including a similar event in Charlotte last January. Flores said the next event will be in Raleigh.

What an utterly ignorant attempt to justify illegal behavior. Americans don't sneak into Mexico and then go running to the American embassy for papers. It doesn't work that way.

400 apply for Mexican passports, identification at Concord High

CONCORD - About 400 Mexican nationals lined up Saturday at Concord High School to apply for Mexican passports and other forms of Mexican identification.

The event, conducted by the Raleigh office of the Mexican Consulate, also drew about 30 peaceful protesters, including some from the immigration enforcement group NCFIRE.

The purpose of the daylong program, said consular officials, was to take the services of the regional Raleigh office into the field to ensure Mexican citizens have proper identification from the Mexican government.

No U.S. documents were issued Saturday. Mexican passports and government-issued picture IDs called matricula consular cards were provided to those who brought birth certificates and other proper documentation.

"We came here because there are a lot of Mexican people who need to renew their documents," said Consul General Carlos Flores of the Raleigh office, which serves the Carolinas.

When Mexican nationals return home, they need valid passports to get back into Mexico, Flores said. The matricula consular card serves as a second form of picture ID to be used primarily in the U.S., he said.

"Folks who have a matricula consular card and a Mexican passport can open up bank accounts," Flores said.

The card also provides proof of identity when enrolling children in school, applying for credit or getting an individual tax identification number from the IRS so Mexican nationals can pay U.S. income tax.

Inside the Concord High gym, Florinda Chela, 20, of Concord said she brought her father to get his passport and consular card so he could use them for identification and on trips to Mexico. Adriana Mercado, 18, of Charlotte brought her mother for the same reason.

Alejandro Barrios, 39, of Concord said he was renewing his passport so he can make the trip back to his hometown of Mexico City.

Outside the school, protester James Johnson, president of NCFIRE - short for North Carolinians for Immigration Reform and Enforcement - said he objected to the event being held on school property. He also questioned why the program was necessary.

"If they're in the country legally to start with, they already have the proper documentation," he said.

Concord High Principal Carla Black said the Mexican Consulate had permission from the school to hold the event.

"Community groups may use facilities after hours if they comply with board policy," she said. "It's not a political stance that the board takes. It's a service to the community."

The remarks highlighted in red last post are very important.

Mexican government officials have clearly designated areas of now-sovereign Mexican soil within the U.S. (Mexican Consulates - 53 locations according to mexonline.com) , and allowing them to traverse the countryside organizing and enlisting support for their activities is the epitome of stupidity.

What's next, Ayatollahs touring the U.S. in outreach campaigns to "renew documents" for citizens of the various Muslim nations?

The "going into the field" consular officials mentioned seems a little suspect to me to begin with.

There is an office of the Mexican Consulate listed in Charlotte, less than 25 miles from Concord High.

Wonder why the Consular felt he needed to organize a trip from Raleigh to meet with his "citizens" discreetly at a remote location on a one-day junket when they simply could have driven the short distance to Charlotte at their convenience during the regular work week?

Don't know about you, but it bothers me more than a little bit that Mexican Consulate officials are registering voters. Odd that the officials interviewed seem to have left that little detail out when describing their activities. Sound like they have an agenda?

Hmmmmm....
