Oh I new you were serious, but it was still good.
Grassely Isn't that amazing , but I heard that the other day on Lou Dobbs, who Craig dosen't think much of 8O Did you hear the way he talked about Lou?? thats good means he is affective!!
I suggest in the interest of time, each ALIPAC'er call as many of these Senators who voted No on Cloture of the Comprehensive Immigration Bill about stopping Ag Jobs and the Dream Act. This is because these are the one's most likely to vote against these two programs and would be able to stop them.

Yes, Lou said Federal government is employing lots of illegals. Now, I am sure some of them are cleaning in the capital... since some of them were recorded on a voice mail...that I heard. Asked the operator if they were illegal, said she didn't know. Asked if they spoke english? "some of them do". Informed me that they were all hispanic except one African American. Our own government not requiring their contractors to use this system!! This is sickening!
Yes it is and it shows exactly where this government stands and where it's loyalty is and it is not with the American people. We are going to have to keep fighting and keep standing up!!!! WE WILL NOT BE WALKED ON ANY MORE!!!!!Quote:

As people on this board know, can you imagine the fraud and potentially millions of amnestied illegals that would result if AGJobs scheme passed?! With our government's track record on immigration -- minimal enforcement, no proper documentation with millions of illegals saying they were agricultural workers, and minimal or no oversight and follow up to see if they were still working in agriculture down the line!
NO NO NO !!
Senator Dole is up. She says this bill has money in it for 287 (g) She is proposing an amendment that says Homeland Security can't skate on this. Apparently they can the way it's written now. Did anyone notice this provision when reading the bill?
I believe the bill gives Chertoff the option to use funding as he see fit. with doles amenment he would have to use the 75 million only for the 287g program.

I started the thread and when I went back to fix something it wasn't there!! (dole...Dole)

Now tell me why my other Grandchildren can not afford to go to college, but children of tresspassing non-tax-paying iillegal aliens should have the luxury of a college education when my own Grandchildren can NOT, after generations of legal law abiding American Citizens PAYING TAXES and supporting the educational system?
Their parents, who knowingly broke our laws to bring them here are responsible for them and should be held accountable for them no matter how long they got away with living here ILLEGALLY.
"On the other hand, you have people that come to this country to take extremely difficult agricultural jobs that most Americans dont want to take (or keep)."
Georgian must be very new to the illegal alien issue or he/she would not make such an outdated biased G.W.B. statement. Americans would do any job available if they were paid a living wage.
.......
Way to go Virgil Goode!!!!!
Sorry to spoil your fun DinTN
Oh well, between Georgian and myself at least I got the last word in. That's enough fun in itself. :DQuote:

I'm glad you just posted that because I was going back through posts to see the ending.
I sent several faxes last night, Corker, Alexander, etc. I have to use the free faxes, I have no fax machine at home yet.
Thanks again.
Can someone give some talking points on the bill, i.e. are the agjobs &
dream/nightmare amendments already in bill or are they up for debate
& a vote tomorrow? Hard to follow this long thread.
Feinstein said if they can't grow crops here, the land will go fallow. Who cares? They tell us Americans aren't doing those jobs anyway. I say move all the Agriculture to Mexico and take their workers with them. :D
Baloney! Do what Colorado is doing. They are using non-violent prisoners to do the labor and paying them more than what they get paid in prison work. It's good for the prisoners to get out and see what work is all about. Most were druggies but they are getting a sense of accomplishment and they will have money waiting for them when they get out. A good incentive to get an education while in prison so they don't go back to drugs or doing manual labor. We have a work force just sitting around making trouble in the prisons. Use them.Quote:

Dem 4, as it stands right now, the Homeland Security Funding Bill, 2638, is just that. No amendments have been allowed in it so far. Tomorrow more amendments will be introduced and depending on what they are, we need to be ready to slam them. But it doesn't hurt to email them all tonight and let them know you won't accept anything with amnesty in it.
Something like this:
Dear Senator:
I just wanted to let you know that along with the rest of America, I am watching the debate on H.R. 2638 very closely. Anything that smacks of amnesty for illegal aliens will result in another roar from the American people. Secure our borders and enforce our immigration laws across this country. Of course, how you spend this money is up to you, but how I vote in the next election is up to me.
:D
Don't worry, gogo, according to our wise ones in the government, there'a alot of jobs Americans won't do, so the prisoners won't run out of work.
Think of me if you hear anymore about this! Our mayor said that all MOU's (?) were on hold. Our town did apply though... The recent Carpentersville article said that 287g funding for training was on hold till October. I've already asked around with my folks about arranging a fund drive to provide that money if Chertof says it's no longer free.Quote:

Did you see another thread about Illinois and '08?! Maybe we can get Dream Act Durbin out of office next year. Won't help now but maybe? Also, we need Jim Oberwies in Illinois.
Indiana of course Corn crops..When I was a young lad (heh)..I would spend (part of my summer) Dekalb detasseling summer job. Along with several of my school mates. I believe this still goes on today.Quote:

Where I live there are several farmers. The funny thing is I see no "illegals" doing these jobs. I never go by a crop and say look there is a illegal, doing those jobs Americans wont do. Cause its all Americans doing them.
Around here there in the factories and construction.
BTW I was just adding to what you had to say :) (then some)
I am in total agreement..They can find the labor elsewhere..
IF they pay a fair wage , people will work. Last I checked in this country slavery was abolished. It seems our goverment wishes to go back to it.
I was just fooling with you, gogo. :D I really do agree with you. From what I read somewhere today, I think, Idaho uses prisoners, too. I think it's a great idea.
Done! Called all on the list! :D
