I more or less agree with you Bubba-- they did it to themselves through that sanctimonious attitude. They couldn't be bothered to listen to the Americans about anything. No matter how many letters we wrote, no matter how many calls we made, no matter how many message board posts we posted. They had their own ideas as to how things should be done and they felt that holding the border hostage was the proper thing to do if they couldn't get their own way.

It remains to be seen if the Democrats will charge full speed ahead to grant all twenty million illegals amnesty now that they don't have so many fence sitting republicans to stand in their way. It remains to be seen if that fence will ever be built or if any of the laws already made will be enforced.

One thing is for sure, though, if the stalemate doesn't end shortly after the newly elected rogues take office, we will know that they are, indeed, all in the same boat and they just needed fresh rowers!

I firmly believed that the third party candidates were the key this time around. Those straight ticket voters and those voters who listened to the scare tactics from republican and democratic camps alike pretty much ignored those candidates and it is a shame.

I don't know if I should laugh or puke. "Don't vote Republican because of their illegal immigration" !! So you 'useful idiot's put the very party in power that encouraged and welcomed them here in the first place.

Wasn't it Democrat Clinton who made hundreds of thousands 'legal' just in time for them to vote for him??!!

Wasn't it Democrats who made it the law to include 'Spanish' along with English in all Federal publication???!!

Wasn't it Democrats who told us the'Born in America makes you a citizen' LIE ... and then put them on our Social Security and welfare programs?

And last (but not all) who do the Mexicans vote for??... Democrats.

Tuesday's election was like a baseball game. The wishes of the American people were ignored. Your letter is correct on all counts and hope that it is discussed in great detail on every News Channel that will have you on. It's time that the alarm is sounded.......If government refuses the Americcan people and deprive them of their rights as Americans or it's Constitution, throw all of the bums out and re-establish true government. The American people have the right to enforce the laws, when government fails to to their jobs.

You hit the nail on the head Dixie.

As you know, I am involved in all sorts of political boards and newsletters from one end of the spectrum to the other. Given that your message was the least offensive either for OR against the outcome of the election I've seen anywhere, I'd say the person who got all jacked out of shape either didn't read what you wrote or else they are one of those products of the "No Child Left Behind" education system in a school where they were more interested in test scores than teaching people how to read.

You win some; you lose some.

It is my hope the the Democratic party is smart enough (yeah I know) to understand that their victory is only for two years, so to speak. If they push for amensty, open borders, etc. etc. they will be putting themselves in a bad light for the 2008 elections. So if they want to hold onto their positons in the House and Senate, as well as a chance at having a democrate for President, they better listen to what Americans want or they will loose in 2008.
