That's the most troubling part of today's government! The mistaken assumption is that anyone who leads through government needs to be a lawyer and that law school is some kind of prerequisite for holding office. What America really needs is government where everyone in a leadership role got there because of wisdom, morals, and integrity. The lawyers need to serve in the capacity of advisor to the leadership, not the other way around. Elect common sense, morals and integrity!

    dOBBS 4 PRES.

Lou Dobbs would be just another one issue candidate. If illegal immigration was enough to get someone elected we would have President Tancredo or President Hunter. Dr. Paul is a thoughtful, well-rounded candidate capable of discussing foreign policy constitutional questions and economics as well as immigration. He is well aware of the danger of international alliances such as NAFTA, CAFTA, WTO and the grandfather of them all the United Nations. If he does not succeed in the Primary, I for one, as a member of the Constitution Party, hope he will consider running as an Independent. Mr Dobbs may be a great guy, and good on immigration; however, our problems are much deeper and on an international scale. His philosophy concerning other important problems would certainly have to have a great deal of scrutiny.

Not only is he the only MSM news anchor taking on illegal immigration (which he is totally correct on), he has taken on the economy, special interests, lobbyist influence peddling, government corruption, truth in government, religion in politics, free trade and favored trade status issues, national security, the folly of the Iraq War and how contractors are being enriched from it, middle class erosion and American worker protection, outsourcing jobs for larger corporate profit, excessive issuance of H-1B visas, our crumbling infrastructure, education, food safety and inspections, the environment, China's dangerous imports and its influence on our national deficit, NAFTA, SPP, NAU, LOST, ridiculous government treaties, crime, drugs, racial issues and the list goes on.

Lou Dobbs has talked about, taken stances on, exposed and researched more issues than any other presidential candidate ever has or ever will.

he (speaking of Obama) has proven a huge failure at the job and is looking for a promotion already without proving he even knows who he works for.
Boy, does this ever describe Obama!

Lou Dobbs would be just another one issue candidate.
And that statement is utter hogwash! Lou dobbs is probably more informed about ALL the issues than any one of the people in office today or all of them combined. Unfortunately, I do not get to watch his show very often but I get the highlites of it in my inbox every single day and I go read the transcripts regularly. I suggest you try that before you jump up and claim Dobbs is a one issue guy.

Pull together for America. This is not a drill.

    Restore the Republic.
    Vote Ron Paul.
I would also add that Lou is the ONLY one mentioning about the North American Union(NAU) and the NAFTA Superhighway...as for me - I am a Ron Paul Supporter, a radical, because by today's standards - the Constitution of the U.S. is also very radical too !!

Excellent Point, Charlene! I don't understand why people aren't all over that issue.

    Draft Lou Dobbs

I am a Ron Paul supporter, but I am totally behind the efforts of AliPac to consider a movement to Draft Lou Dobbs.

I assume that everyone that belongs to ALIPAC is against amnesty for illegal aliens. That being the case we should not only support this effort we should also spread the word. If we accomplish nothing else but get the attention of the candidates and force them to support their positions we have accomplished a great deal.

Mr. Gheen, I am with you all the way.

    Thank you

You list many things that Lou Dobbs has addressed - all of which has also been addressed by Ron Paul. PLUS Ron Paul wants to attack the root of our problems. i.e. Agenda 21 of the UN resettlement project - the source of the immigration problem and the blueprint of the NAU - The Federal Resersve - which is not Federal, nor is it accountable, never audited and against section 8 of the constitution, which requires congress to print the coin and set the value thereof. our present devaluation of the dollar is not an accident, and depressions have not been accidental since the establishment of the Federal Reserve in 1913. This seems like an attempt to further divide the Constitutionists and assure the election of the "same old crappers" There is already a grass-roots movement for Ron Paul. Of course, the globalists want anybody but Ron Paul - which has been proved by Glen Beck, who says he agrees with Ron Paul, but doesn't like the people who like Ron Paul. He says Ron Paul people want to kill him - what an insult to those who really support Ron Paul, who is a pacifist and never attacks his opponents. He doesn't even accuse them of waffleing - he simply points out that he is the only one who has consistently stood by the Constitution, against illegal immigration, the income tax and the IRS - long before the Johnny-come-lately crowd.

Jeramiah, everything you are saying is true. But Ron Paul has about as much chance of getting the Republican nomination as I do and I'm not even running. If Ron Paul turns around and runs as an Independent, I still don't think he can get elected, mainly because of his age, but I would seriously consider voting for him.

If you have watched any news footage on the campaigning, you surely must be able to see that Ron Paul looks like he's aged about 10 years just from the strain of flitting all over the country. So, take a guy who's 75 and make him 85. That can't be good. how long can his ticker take that kind of pressure?

We cannot afford to finally get a good President who will work with the people for a better future for America and then lose him. So, if confronted with the possibility of having a 50-some year old guy and a 70-some year old guy with the same ideas running for the same job, I'm going to choose the younger when it comes time to vote. Sorry, but those are cold, hard facts.

And, of course, if Ron Paul should get the Republican nomination through some fluke, I'd vote for him simply because the Democrats have Zero candidates in the race that I have any degree of respect for. My main concern is that we are going to have zero respectable candidates in either party.

But, Sigh, in my heart I believe we are all just pipe dreaming anyway. McCain and Hitlery will be the candidates, the Dems and Reps will gather forces to scare all the other candidates away or scare the voters away from voting for an Independent and we will be stuck once again with no leadership. Unfortunately, regardess of the hogwash about freedom and democracy we have been spoon fed, we live in a country where he who has the gold makes the rules.

Thanks for your support of Ron Paul - I am wondering if some people who are writing have been watching the debates - Ron Paul addressed the NAU and hit the ball out of the park when he replied it was no longer a conspiracy it was "out in the open" - He is the only one who has a web site where you can review his writing and speeches on all subjects. www.ronpaullibrary.org. The others just have talking points and complementary articles from media. Also, a while back Pat Buchanan noted that Thompson was just a "stalking horse" for McCain - in the S. Carolina race this proved to be the case. He would give McCain a little slap and lambaste "Huckelberry" - it worked - he took the religious votes from the "Huckster" which gave a victory to Mc.Cain. I forgot to address the age factor - Dr. Paul is in excellent health. He exercises regularly and seems to be thriving in spite of the psychotic fear of him displayed by the media; who have received their orders from Mayor Bloomberg and the gang of 17 that met in Edmond, Ok. At the press conference after their meeting, they told the press to tell us that we must vote for Consensus - someone who would be sure to have bi-partisans in the Cabinet and further more both houses of Congress must have Bi-partisan coalitions to insure "consensus": code for "two parties is one party too many when your goal is to steal the sovereignty of the United States and promote the Agenda of the United Nations". No wonder their guy is John-Finegold - Kennedy - Leiberman-McCain. Be warned!
