Think about it this way. For years the people because of Apathy kept returning people to Congress. Fot the last twenty years at least 90% of the incumbents in the House and Senate were returned to Office. They no longer cared about the people. They were willing to sacrifice that 10% because at least 90% of them were going to be re-lected. The people had their chance again in Novemeber. Waht could have been a message didnt happen when the two worst States in the Union re-elected Boxer and Reid. Where there might have been a message there is now hope because people in Nevada re-elected Reid is spite of his previous performance and his willingness to push the Dream act for 20% of the Population in order to get their vote. Now the rest of the Senators have hope and will do as they please. They were ab;e to manipulate people to think about the last eigth years in 2008 even though the Democrats had been in control of Congress since January 3. 2007 as being in Republican control and give them a super Majority. They wwre able to manipulate the majority of voters in Nevada and through back room deals and the promise of the Dream Act to retuen Reid to office. Nothing has changed especially in Nevada. People and Conventions etc could boycott Nevada and keep them as the highest in Unemployment ann Foreclosures.

I called one, and the stafffer asked my zip code. When he indicated I am not a constitutent, I said, the vote affects my state and this is a national issue, besides I have a constitutional right to lobby congress and that is what I am doing--and he stopped his objection immediately.

[edit] I just heard on the news the Dems are caucusing tonight about the taxes--dare we suspect the rumored deal is amnesty for no tax increases?

guess we have to vote all the repubs out next, because this amensty even a small one will cost more to the averager person in the long run than taxes going up

    I am calling

Excuse me, people are afraid to bend the system a little?
The system is warped, and the only way we can get through to these
people is if we ...err....GET THROUGH TO THESE PEOPLE!!!

I know there are millions of people out there who are as appalled by the illegal immigration problem as we are, but the senators and congressment don't see what we see.

My husband and I drove through some of his old neighborhoods in Denver a few days ago. It is ALL Mexican! The billboards are in Spanish!
We almost feel like its too late.
