American Citizens Defeat Globalist Amnesty Bill in the Senat

American Citizens Defeat Globalist Amnesty Bill in the Senate

    June 7, 2007

    FOR IMMEDIATE JUBILANT RELEASE!

Contact: William Gheen, Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC),
    WilliamG@alipac.us, (866) 329-3999

In a striking defeat for the Open Borders Lobby (OBL), which was achieved by historic and unprecedented pressure from American citizens, which scuttled amnesty bill S. 1348 tonight and has left Senators Reid, Graham, McCain, and Kennedy crying foul!

"There were so many things wrong with this bill," says William Gheen of ALIPAC. "President Bush said, we could pick on one thing if we wanted, there were hundreds of things wrong with this bill, such as amnesty and benefits for illegal aliens, national biometric Big Brother ID, and over two trillion in costs to the US taxpayer."

Senate bill S. 1348 failed to get the needed Cloture votes two times today, causing Senator Harry Reid to pull the bill from the floor.

Senate staffers reported a volume of calls and communications, unlike anything they had seen before in Washington. Most offices reported that calls against this bill were ranging 20 to 1 or higher against the bill!

ALIPAC and many other allied immigration enforcement groups fought hard with office visits, calls, faxes, e-mails, and protests to stop this bill.
Recent national polls show super majorities of Americans in favor of enforcement of existing laws, instead of creating new laws.

"Illegal immigration is a top national issue," says Gheen. "But the real fight here is to restore the American Republic and the Principles that have made America a great nation. When existing laws that are important to the people go un-enforced, then every American has been deprived of a voice and a functioning Republic for which our flag stands."

In 2006, the Amnesty bill passed in the Senate and was stopped in the House.

The fact that this bill was stopped, where it had the most strength in the Senate, represents a political paradigm shift in favor of the majority of American citizens, which are demanding enforcement of existing American immigration laws.

    Woohoo

Woohoo! This bill if passed would have never secured the boarders as in the past! All we had were more promises but no law enforcement.

Would have never enforced laws; which could have helped catch terrorists by not allowing police to ask that one fundamental question; " are you illegal" then contact ICE or Homeland Security.

It never addressed the question of future illegals gaining amnesty once more. So the flow would have never stopped!

Unfair to legal immigrants who obey the laws and apply then wait years.

Would have rewarded law breakers and never truly solved the problem. Glad it died. God Bless America! I hope they either write something that deals with this issue correctly or not at all. Hopefully we don't see this bill rise again like a bad dream. They may plan for its resurrection but its better off where it is.

Congratulations go out to William Gheen and the many, many patriots who have remained faithful to defending our nation against the giveaway of America to greedy corporations and the traitors in the Senate and the White House.

They realize their continued sponsorship of the invasion poses more than just their jobs being at stake. They will try again.

Please remember that it is not over. Both party leaders stated that they were very close to compromised to pass the bill. They both want to bring the bill back in a couple of weeks. The leaders don't believe that the American people don't want the bill they are intent on passing this bill in a form that allows amnesty to criminals, no secure borders, robbing the american treasure, and giving more american jobs to illegals.

Send a vote of no confidence to your Senators who voted for cloture.
