Thankfully, the next President does not have the power to grant Amnesty and can only lobby Congress for it, as President Bush has done. Do you feel we should cease or diminish our plans to support anti-Amnesty candidates or do you feel we need to organize more than ever behind Congressional Candidates that stand for immigration enforcement?

The illegal alien supporters are fighting tooth and nail to stop American activists and state representatives pushing for enforcement on the state level. Do you feel we should withdraw or diminish our support for local enforcement? Or do you feel we must do more than ever before, to support those fighting to crack down on illegal immigration in the states?

ALIPAC has raised around $9,600 so far in our Spring fund raiser which must reach a minimum level of $25,000 by April 1, to avoid a reversal in growth and cutbacks in our efforts in the fight against illegal immigration.

We only have 19 days left to reach our minimum goals and to avoid cutbacks. We need your help to raise a minimum of $810 per day to make our target. To do this, we must receive larger donations from some of you and many more smaller donations than we are currently receiving.

We are directing our ALIPAC Treasurer, to redirect from her efforts fighting illegal immigration, to now focus on spending over $3,000 assembling an emergency direct mail piece to our prior donors.

ALIPAC's President, William Gheen, is clearing his schedule next week to contact our larger donors we have not heard from yet this year by phone.

We all need to pull together and push to take ALIPAC's growth and influence to a higher level. We cannot afford to allow the Presidential races and bad economy to dampen our determination. Our ALIPAC Team will do all we can to reach our goals.

If ALIPAC fails to reach our minimum fundraising goals, where do you feel the cutbacks in services and efforts should be made?

A. Cutback on web hosting, project websites, and e-mail contact, to limit speed and accessibility to ALIPAC's extensive archives and abilities to reach our supporters efficiently online?
B. Cutback on support for allied groups, activists, events, and candidates that stand against amnesty and for immigration services?
C. Cutback on press releases and press contact to spread our messages?
D. Cutback on FOCUS campaigns in the states.
E. Cancel plan to reach out to 30,000 Americans by mail who are likely to join our efforts?
F. Cutback on travel to speak at events and conduct lobbying efforts?

I think an emphasis on pushing government at all levels to enforce existing laws on illegal aliens, and the illegal invasion, is the bedrock foundational strategy for turning this crisis around. I also believe that unrelenting pressure to build an effective barrier on our southern border first, and then our northern border, is crucial.

The points outlined in the following release from the John Birch Society, also point to the necessity of stopping the NAU, and building momentum to repeal NAFTA: www.capwiz.com/jbs/issues/alert/?alertid=10658721 For many, NAFTA and it's expansion into the NAU are separate issues from the illegal invasion, but they are inseparable. In fact, without stopping the former, we will never stop the latter.

Thanks for your untiring efforts for our country, William. I was laid off at the end of March, but am back to work, and will be resuming my monthly donation, starting today.
