This came out of nowhere ..

First set of calls I got the GENERAL OPERATOR. She asked me if I wanted to leave an opinion on a bill. I said "No I would like to speak with Senator _____" and I was transferred to the office I wanted to speak with.

With only a few hours to make a difference speaking to the main operator about a bill is probably the least effective thing we could do.

I spoke with a Senator's aid that told me they go into session today around noon. I told her the deal about this bill and she emailed me info about some amendments. I have replied to her email with the following WRITTEN FOLLOW UP TO MY CALL.

Dear REDACTED,

Thank you for your assistance on this important matter. Please make sure that your Senator REDACTED knows the following.

House Bill 1326 contains the following language that would provide in-state tuition for illegal aliens. This measure has been rejected by more than 30 states due to scientific polling data showing 81% public opposition.

“Provides that an individual who was enrolled in a state educational institution on or before July 1, 2011, is not lawfully present in the United States, and is a resident of Indiana may pay resident tuition at a state educational institution.”

Massive public opposition exists to in-state tuition access for illegal aliens because such laws attract more illegal immigration into states and America while replacing innocent American students in our limited college seats with illegal aliens at taxpayer expense.

Please tell them that I am personally requesting they slow this bill down, speak out against it on the floor of the Senate, and defeat this bill.
