"I am calling/writing today to ask _________ to please delay the vote on Senator Reid's Dream Act Amnesty legislation. Senators considering this measure should slow things down to allow full debate and to allow the American public to be heard on this issue before any votes are taken. I also disagree with this Amnesty being attached to a defense spending bill. Senators should not play politics with America's military defense and national security. I intend to do all in my power to defeat any senator that rushes through Amnesty attached to another unrelated bill."

Aide says Senator Crapo is opposed the Dream Act being attached to the Defense Bill. Should go somewhere else.

Shocked in CA; good idea to call include calling Sens. Snowe and Collins.

Also, please call Sen. Landrieu 202- 224-5824. Roy Beck says she is a critical Senator on this vote.

Leahy is a co-sponsor of the bill and will not change vote.

Did call office back and ask if Leahy would consider separating DREAM Act amendment from Defense Bill. Shouldn't be on the Defense Bill but would be better with CIR.

Feingold is a co-sponsor of DREAM. Asked if he would consider separating from Defense and put with CIR instead.

Other phone lines are really busy now but did get through to Dorgan and Stabenow and Inouye and LeMieux and Gillibrand and Landreau.

Senator Dorgan's office said that he has not voiced opinion on separating DADT and the Dream Act from the Defense Bill.
