Horrific Minnesota Tragedy brings calls for immigration crackdown

Friends of ALIPAC,

We are having trouble determining how many of you have or have not heard the news about the children that were killed by the illegal alien that ran a stop sign and hit a school bus in Minnesota.

The Google News search engine shows this story running in the print media in only a few states such as Minnesota, SD, and ND. While the story did appear in USA Today, the part about the perpetrator being illegal was not included. This is also the case with the CNN clip running about the story.

Obviously, the liberal media is trying to put the brakes on the news these deaths were caused by an illegal alien that should not have been in our country to start with.

Please take the time to review this story, then comment to let us know where you heard the news about this tragedy and if the reports you witnessed included the illegal status of the perpetrator.

As ALIPAC has worked to pass many state laws and city ordinances, we have noticed a pattern. Unfortunately, many states and cities finally decide to take action to protect American citizens from illegal immigration only after a terrible crime or tragedy demands their attention.

We understand that many people in Minnesota are calling on their state legislature to enact new laws since the illegal alien responsible for these deaths had already been in the hands of local police and no action was taken.

We need to reinforce the efforts of citizens in MN because newspapers, such as the Mankato Free Press, are defending the illegal alien.

Hello fellow ALIPAC members. I read about this tragedy on the news of MSN. It did state that criminal is an illegal, no license, nothing, so of course no insurance either.

I just do not understand how our great country can continue to have to endure such atrocities because of the politicians.

It all makes me very sad and very angry and I am following the election info. like never before especially because of this situation.

All the best to ALIPAC to continue the great works of looking out for the American People.

I haven't heard it on my local news. The first I heard of it being an illegal was through this site, and I followed the news links. I googled some stories and I believe Fox News "may" have had a news story about the killer being an illegal.

It makes me sick that anyone would cover up the true identity of someone who murdered these innocent children.

I have sent in my letter to the editor. Now I am starting my calls to the MN Legislature, I hope many of you will join me on the calls and emails.

I heard the story on Fox News which included the part about her being an illegal alien. I believe it was Wednesday.

Also, I'd recommend calls to these people in particular (generally friendly elected representatives that some gentle 'nudges' should work wonders with):

MN Rep Seifert (R - of Marshall / Cottonwood area; has made comments in the past favorable to greater cooperation between local LE and ICE. Represents the area where the accident occurred and where the victims are from).

MN Rep Gimse (R - of nearby areas; also has made comments favorable about greater local enforcement)

US Rep Bachmann - (R of suburban Minn-St Paul areas; she's come out publicly asking some good and tough questions about the accident and up until this point, the US Reps and Senators from MN have been conspicuously silent on the issue. She is leading the way and needs our support)

By all means, don't stop with just these folks though, let 'em all hear from you!

I heard about this well over a week ago and immediately input it in the IAATS - illegal.globalincidentmap.com - and I initially heard it reported by Fox and then went on the hunt for an actual story in writing and here is what I found and what is on the IAATS:

The MyFox link was the first to report it which is the second link in the "SEE ALSO" category.

The woman had been arrested before for driving without a license and was let go and now 4 innocent children are dead. When is enough going to be enough?

Obviously, even the death of these 4 innocent children means nothing to those who have the power to immediately secure the borders and immediately deal with the illegal alien criminals in the US.

Another thing all need to know and that is ICE is now referring to the 1974 privacy act and saying they will no longer release the immigration status of suspects per a January 2007 Directorate for DHS. YES, DHS IS TRYING TO HIDE THE TRUTH THAT WE ARE LEGALLY ENTITLED TO KNOW. Why ICE is now using this directorate since it's been out since January 2007 is anybodies guess, but my common sense tells me they are doing it to keep the truth from us and to help the government pass amnesty.

They used to release the information. You could ask them about the immigration status of, say, a violent criminal or other offender, and they would tell you.

Without having an Alien # (which is how ICE tracks those we have encountered) and a nationality, it would be difficult to determine this individual's status. In addition, DHS has a new privacy policy that prevents me from releasing such information.

So what now? They want to hide the status of these criminals and obviously the lives of those 4 innocent children mean nothing. What has happened to America? It absolutely makes me physically ill.

Putting '2 and 2 together' here... so, this is the first high-profile case of an IA doing harm to an American and the 'damage control' is in effect from the media only because the restrictions initially put in place by DHS.

Mr. Chertoff - how very disappointed I am in you. Recently, you have been sounding almost reasonable on many enforcement-related issues. But when you allow silly provisions like this to go into effect... I take it all back and now have no respect for your whatsoever. If you want to protect anyone's privacy, I recommend you start with those that are directly impacted by the violent, wanton and careless acts by IAs in the country.

I would be willing to guess that the amount of publicity given to American accused criminals is FAR greater than that given to accused criminal IAs.

Why does an accused criminal illegal alien have any more privacy 'rights' than an accused US citizen? What's wrong with this picture?

ICE, you need to start doing what's right, not what Boosh keeps pushing on your agency. Do you work for him, or the American people?
What does that oath you took when you began your jobs with ICE say? (I know, I've taken such an oath before)

Yep...heard it on ALIPAC. Also Laura Ingraham and Bill O'Reilly brought it up when Geraldo was on pandering his book.
