76% of Americans do not want comprehensive immigration reform, Mr. Hernandez, which equals amnesty for people who cheated by crossing our border and should not be rewarded for this. Been there done that and where has it gotten us? More illegal immigration than ever.

This man works for Mexico first imo.

So if Juan Hernandez is working as an advisor to McCain it just proves if he becomes president he will be just like Bush, open borders, back employers with their cheap labor, etc. Might even be worse than Bush.

What a shyster. I could barely make it through the first video and that was all I needed to see.

I am hopeful we can somehow get this information to the voters, as they are still harboring a blief that McCain is tough on illegal immigration and anti war.

How do I feel? How about: McCain is showing his arrogance again with this in-your-face-gringo appointment. Clearly, he is mentally disturbed because only an idiot would make a move like this prior to winning, much like the decider did with the mexican AG.

John McCain is a scurrilous dog traitor to the cause of liberty and freedom. He is so far out of touch with any real conservative principles, the only way he could win is via the msm propaganda and crossover dims voting in open primaries.

    McCain's new Advisor

I am really not surprised. I know McCain is very weak on boarder security and I will not vote for him. I saw Juan Hernandez argued about why illegals should be given the free rides and he has not convinced me. He made no sense to me. I am really tired of hearing why we should be more compassionate toward children of illegals. Yes, they are children, but they won't be in this predicament if their parent did not broke the law! Yes, they are braking the law. Are we suppose to pick and choose which law to follow just because we don't agree? I am sorry, but this illegal business does not make sense and I don't know why we are even discussing this at all.

Let me start out by saying that it is a good thing you cautioned against foul language, W, because I'm cursing a blue streak in my head after hearing this nut job!

Hernandez comes across like a clown and is an insult to all the good people out there who share the same last neme, first off.

His comments are ridiculous, that is for sure. If these people aren't criminals, then what are they? If they have only broken "civil regulartions" what are civil regulations other than laws?

I guess it's a good guy for McCain to partner up with given that McCain's rhetoric is equally misguided with regard to the illegal alien crisis which is becoming even more of a crisis.

One of the headlines on the local FOX news station in El Paso today was that more border patrol agents have become targets to the drug lords. Gee, I wonder why? They aren't allowed to do their jobs because they get locked up if they do.

The city of Juarez is now a war zone (literally) controlled by the Mexican military because of gangland shootings in the street. We have some dual citizen who is a Juarez police official in a lccal hosptial being guarded day and night by El Paso police because someone snuck him across the border so the cartel wouldn't finish the job they botched when they tried to kill him! His very presence endangers every patient, employee and visitor to that hospital.

People have no idea what goes on within a stone's throw of the USA and the border is still wide open thanks to McCain and jerks like him.

What are you hearing of this situation back in the USA? I don't feel as if I live in the USA anymore on this border.

    Illegal Mexican Immigration

This guy is a slick Willie and McCain deserves him. Anyone with any brains at all can see through what McCain is trying to do, and that is become more liberal than a liberal. He will most likely pick Ted Kennedy as a Vice President or Nancy Pelosi (sp)....the true McCain has stepped up to the plate and now everyone knows his game.

I forgot what PhD stands for, is it Prevaricating Hubristic Dunce? Dr. Hernandez is right that 76% of the American people want immigration reform; but its for stopping illegal entry into the country, fining employers of illegals, and deporting any illegal in violation of our laws as a start, not opening the borders to everyone and giving non-citizens benefits paid for by overburdened taxpayers.

The good professor would be shocked at the immigration laws of Mexico which are quite harsh even towards legal immigrants. Maybe we should advertise those laws and even adopt them as follows:

    1. If you legally migrate to this country, you must speak the native language.

    2. You have to be a professional or an investor. No unskilled workers allowed (except under authorized work programs and then only temporarily).

    3. There will be no special bilingual programs in the schools, no special ballots for elections; all government business will be conducted in our language.

    4. Foreigners (NOT NATURALIZED) will not have the right to vote no matter how long they are here.

    5. Foreigners will never be able to hold political office (and never the presidency even if naturalized).

    6. Foreigners will not be a burden to the taxpayers. No welfare, no food stamps, no health care, or other government assistance programs.

    7. Foreigners can invest in this country, but it must be an amount equal to 40,000 times the daily minimum wage.

    8. If foreigners do come and want to buy land that will be okay, but options will be restricted. You are not allowed waterfront property. That is reserved for citizens naturally born into this country.

    9. Foreigners may not protest; no demonstrations, no waving a foreign flag, no political organizing, no bad-mouthing our president or his policies, if you do you will be sent home.

    10. If you do come to this country illegally, you will be hunted down and sent straight to jail.

    11. Citizens shall have priority over foreigners under equality of circumstances for all classes of concessions and for all employment, positions, or commissions of the government in which the status of citizenship is not indispensable.

    12. Indispensable citizenship for employment positions shall include bans on foreigners, immigrants, and even naturalized citizens serving as military officers, national flagged ship and airline crews, and chiefs of seaports and airports.

    13. Immigrants may not become members of the clergy.

    14. Citizens have the right to arrest illegal immigrants and turn them over to authorities for immediate prosecution.

    15. The Federal Executive shall have the exclusive power to compel any foreigner whose remaining he may deem inexpedient to abandon the national territory immediately and without the necessity of previous legal action.

Even I believe the above policies are far too harsh, but if Mexico wants to continue interfering in our politics, including getting law enforcement officers imprisoned for doing their sworn duty (and even killed), then perhaps a harsh response is needed.

Seems to me Juan Hernandez should be stripped of his US Citizenship.
That is the oath I took and I had to wait just like everyone else. Juan Hernandez should be thrown out of this country for suggesting people to break the law.
