Talk Radio Shows! Please Get the Senators on the Air!

Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC) is asking all American talk radio shows to immediately contact members of the US Senate and try and get them or their top staff on the air immediately to take calls from the public on the AMNESTY bill coming up for a Cloture vote on Monday.

"The New Media configuration between talk radio and the Internet is white hot with angry Americans that want this bill stopped in its tracks!" says William Gheen of ALIPAC. "Americans are calling, faxing, and e-mailing the Senate begging them to stop this Amnesty Bill. Talk radio has the power to connect these lawmakers with the pro enforcement, anti amnesty sentiments of the public before it is to late."

The majority of US Senate offices report that the vast majority of calls they are receiving are against this upcoming 1000 page Amnesty bill described as an "Immigration Compromise".

"A majority of Americans vehemently oppose this legislation," says Gheen. "We need talk radio show hosts calling Senators and getting them on the air to answer questions, address concerns, and listen to the American people."

ALIPAC and many other immigration enforcement organizations have their supporters calling Congress to ask them to vote NO on Cloture for this bill. A YES vote on Cloture for this bill will be considered a Yes vote for Amnesty in the 2008 elections.

I've sent it to a couple of the hosts of my local radio station. I'll let you know if I hear back from them.

I too, have sent it to our local radio hosts. Fred Flannigan was in DC and I'm sure he will do everything in his power to get them on.

I've heard back from some radio show producers who say the senators are cowards and wont go on air. I guess they know they would hear the Voice of the American people if they did. They will either way come election day.
