ALIPAC has been endorsing and supporting Rep. Rohrabacher for Congress since 2006 due to his strong stances for border security and against illegal immigration and amnesty.
Mitt Romney won the GOP Presidential primary in 2012 by talking tough against illegal immigration and even placed immigration and border hawk Kris Kobach on his campaign to appear strong on the issue, Romney later revealed his true position to be in support of Comprehensive Immigration Reform amnesty for illegal aliens! In June of 2014, Mitt Romney held an "ideas summit" in Utah for GOP Presidential candidates to introduce them to his mega donors and at this summit candidates like Mike Huckabee, Lindsey Graham, Carly Fiorina, Scott Walker, Marco Rubio, and Chris Christie were all urged not to run against illegal immigration like Donald Trump eventually did. Another big reason it would be very unwise for Donald Trump to appoint Mitt Romney is that Romney and other #NeverTrump campaigners like Bill Kristol supported and funded an independent candidate for President named Evan McMullin from Utah. ALIPAC warned 2016 voters that the goal of the Romney, Kristol, McMullin conspiracy was to throw the race to Hillary Clinton by depriving Trump of Utah's eight electoral votes!

Representative Dana Rohrabacher would bring his decades of experience fighting illegal immigration to the Trump cabinet from the now heavily illegal immigrant voter occupied state of California. Californians know the terrible impacts of illegal immigration more than any other state in America because illegal immigrants have turned their state deep Democrat blue. Many Californians have fled the state since their anti-illegal immigration Proposition 187 was shot down by an activist judge in the 90's.
