ALIPAC notifies federal authorities of Twitter threat against former EPA Chief Whitman

ALIPAC is notifying Twitter, the FBI, the Capitol Police, and other federal agencies of a possible threat against former Republican EPA Chief Christine Todd Whitman.

ALIPAC reported spotting the threat after Twitter account @econde1576 started attacking the national organization's account @ALIPAC.

The user states, "If I ever meet Christine T. Whitman, I don't think I'd be able to stop myself from hurting her. The racist p.o.s. ruined my life." ALIPAC was shocked to find the comment has been up on Twitter for almost two years as it was posted 9:35 AM - 25 Mar 2016. (View Actual Tweet HERE.)



"This is the kind of person our federal and local authorities need to identify and keep a close eye on due to the spate of violent attacks against our elected and appointed officials, as well as Trump voters in every state, since the 2016 election," said William Gheen of ALIPAC. "We are releasing this to create a lasting record and to see if Twitter takes any appropriate responses to this kind of threatening language against Republican leaders."
