The North Carolina General Assembly plans to vote on House Bill 786 supported by GOP Speaker Thom Tillis (919-733-3451) tomorrow, which will provide licenses for illegal immigrants and gut E-verify laws designed to protect American workers and wages from illegal immigrants.

ALIPAC and many other groups and citizens fought for years to get the Democrat leadership to end licenses for illegal immigrants after the practice drew almost half a million illegals into the state, costing many NC citizens their jobs, wages, taxpayer resources, community security, and very lives. ALIPAC's President William Gheen addressed many talk radio show audiences, rallies, and GOP and Tea Party meetings calling for Republicans to replace the Democrats in Raleigh for more efforts to curtail illegal immigration.

"I feel like many Republicans hearing the news that GOP lawmakers are focused on helping illegal aliens and their employers more than our own citizens... completely betrayed!" said William Gheen, President of ALIPAC. "If House Bill 786 passes and gives licenses to illegal aliens, we are going to run ads across NC that will scuttle Speaker Thom Tillis's plans to run for US Senate. Once voters learn of his effort to give licenses to illegal aliens, his Senate race will be destroyed. We are confident more than 80% of GOP primary voters disagree with Thom Tillis's illegal alien license bill!"

A Rasmussen national poll showed in 2007 that 77% of all Americans oppose licenses for illegal immigrants. The readings for Republican voters are much higher. Opposition to licenses and in-state tuition for illegal aliens helped Chris Cristie defeat New Jersey Governor Corzine. Even the Presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton took a big hit when she came out in support of licenses for illegal immigrants.

Tomorrow's vote on Tillis's HB 786 licenses for illegal aliens bill is timed to take place on the same day that US Senators will be voting on amnesty bill S. 744 in Washington, DC.

ALIPAC plans to inform voters in the districts of any GOP House members who vote for licenses for illegal immigrants and all state voters about future US Senate candidate Thom Tillis's involvement by radio ads and a series of grassroots meetings planned across the state in the districts of Tillis and illegal immigrant supporters if the bill passes.

"I am hopeful that our GOP lawmakers in the NC House will do the right thing and focus on helping Americans instead of illegal immigrants and their employers," said William Gheen. "If they give illegals licenses, I plan to dedicate the rest of my life to exposing the Republicans who betrayed their own party on this issue. I will march from one side of this state to the other for years if I have to in order to inform our citizens who betrayed them in Raleigh and why half of Mexico now lives illegally in their town!"

William Gheen is a former Assistant Senate Sgt At Arms in NC, a campaign consultant and worker for NC Lawmakers (1992-2006), and frequent talk radio show guest.
