Thread: Ask Joe Manchin to leave Democrats & Save USA from Biden & Schumer

The word in Washington is that West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin is considering leaving the Democrats and becoming an independent member of the US Senate in reaction to Biden and Schumer's radical plans. GOP Senator Mike Lee is inviting Manching to join the Republicans.

This could put a halt on Biden and Schumer's Amnesty for illegals plans as it would deprive the Democrats of the 50 votes they need in the Senate to pass radical measures via "reconciliation" and budget bills!

Manchin has also expressed concern over the price tag of bill. In statement from his website Manchin said that an "overheating economy has imposed a costly 'inflation tax' on every middle- and working-class American. At $28.7 trillion and growing, the nation’s debt has reached record levels. Over the past 18 months, we’ve spent more than $5 trillion responding to the coronavirus pandemic. Now Democratic congressional leaders propose to pass the largest single spending bill in history with no regard to rising inflation, crippling debt or the inevitability of future crises. In 2006, Paul Krugman, economist and nobel prize winner who is also liberal wrote that the "low-skill immigrants don't pay enough taxes to cover the cost of the benefits they receive." That number jumps to 79 percent in illegal households from Mexico. By comparison, only 38.7 percent of households headed by U.S. citizens use at least one major welfare program." Obama admitted this. In his book, "The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming the American Dream" on page 263 at https://books.google.com/books?id=k85pcYttpW0C&pg=PA263 Obama wrote that illegal immigration "threatens to depress further the wages of blue-collar Americans and put strains on an already overburdened safety net." But these facts are only a description of the threat the safety net by the 11 million illegal aliens residing in this country. If amnesty is passed in this reconciliation bill, it will only make illegal immigration worse. It will encourage people to come illegally from Mexico. A Center for Immigration Studies article at http://cis.org/ZogbyPoll-EffectsOfAmnesty mentioned a Zogby poll of Mexicans which said that a "clear majority of people in Mexico, 56 percent, thought giving legal status to illegal immigrants in the United States would make it more likely that people they know would go to the United States illegally" and of "Mexicans with a member of their immediate household in the United States, 65 percent said a legalization program would make people they know more likely to go to America illegally." The poll also stated that increased immigration enforcement was one of the reasons "fewer people were going to America as illegal immigrants and more were coming back to Mexico." It will also encourage people to come illegally from the rest of Latin America. What about the rest of Latin America? According to a Gallup poll "42 million -- said they want to go to the United States. ... Seekers of citizenship or asylum are watching to determine exactly when and how is the best time to make their move." https://news.gallup.com/opinion/chai...n-migrate.aspx And it will even encourage people to come illegally from all across the globe. "In the remote Darien region of Eastern Panama, migrants and asylum seekers from around the world arrived ... So if amnesty is included in the reconciliation bill, the cost will probably be a lot higher. So when calling Joe Manchin callers should present these facts to him.

Back in February when Democrats were trying to stuff a minimum wage increase into a reconciliation bill, Joe Manchin said, "My only vote is to protect the Byrd Rule: Hell or high water ... Everybody knows that. I'm fighting to defend the Byrd Rule. The President knows that." https://www.cnn.com/2021/02/16/polit...age/index.html When calling Senator Manchin repeat the quote he said back in February on the parliamentarian's ruling and the Byrd rule and tell him to remain consistent on upholding the Parliamentarian's rulings and the Byrd rule against amnesty.
