I was delighted to learn that Republicans might have a very slim chance of taking North Carolina's new First Congressional District out of the hands of corrupt, woke socialist Democrats like GK Butterfield and Eva Clayton!

But now, I am dismayed that those chances are evaporating quickly because of the DC swamp tactics and dirty campaigning of one of the eight GOP primary contenders in the race, Democratic Party donor Sandy Roberson of Rocky Mount., NC.

We have endorsed Sandy Smith for Congress in this race, because her views on illegal immigration are what America needs to mitigate Biden's Border disaster and our support for her is resolute because we are trying to save American jobs and lives. That is our priority.

Sandy Roberson's decision to put his personal political ambitions ahead of what is best for the people of the first district who have suffered decades of Democrat incompetence and corruption is tragic.

Roberson has also put his desire to win above the shared principles of the Republican Party by reducing the chances any Republican can carry this D+3 district by going nuclear and trying to fight to the death in the GOP primary against front-runner candidate Sandy Smith.

Sandy Smith is clearly the leader in the race; otherwise, Sandy Roberson would have never launched the campaign nukes that now stand in the way of reconciliation and victory for any Republican in the general election.

And I'm not the only one asking how is it precisely that the Republican Mayor of the Democrat stronghold known as the city of Rocky Mount is conducting a dirty congressional campaign with the expensive and untrustworthy opposition research financed by outgoing Democrat Congressman GK Butterfield?!?

Why is Sandy Roberson using expensive sleazy Democrat opposition weaponized hit pieces so the Democrats can sit back and laugh while keeping their hands clean?

Perhaps Sandy Roberson's $1,450 in donations to the North Carolina Democratic Party documented at Open Secrets (View) has something to do with his woke Democrat attack strategies. How does a major Democrat donor like Sandy Roberson end up with so much money in a GOP Primary for Congress?

Sandy Roberson reminds me of the story we all learned as children about the dog with a bone on a bridge who loses his bone after snapping at his own reflection. Sandy Roberson is the DC Swamp dog with no bone.

As Sandy Roberson does the DC swamp and Democrats dirty work by attacking front-runner Sandy Smith in the GOP Primary, he should remember that negative attacks often say more about the attacker than their target.

And as such, negative campaigns like his often backfire on those who launch them, especially in primaries and more so when attacking a lady.

And no matter how much big money Sandy Roberson has to spend in this race on his fancy TV commercials and signs, it should be clear to all that he does not have half of the charisma Sandy Smith has.

Roberson's personal attacks on Sandy Smith come across as a bitter old man abusing a charismatic young lady because he's desperate to win at any cost to others, and she is a fighter leading the race.

Roberson's bogus claims that Sandy Smith is somehow unqualified for office because she once sold lingerie or once registered as an Unaffiliated voter, as so many North Carolinians do, comes across as both petty and desperate.

Allegations by bitter exes who claim Sandy Smith took swings but never really hit them? The last time I checked, our Republican candidates need those unaffiliated voters Sandy Roberson is criticizing to win in the general election.

Give me and all of the voters of NC District 1 a break Sandy Roberson and start putting your cats back in the bag of dirty tricks you received from retiring Democrat Congressman GK Butterfield!

Sandy Roberson has made it clear he is willing to use dirty tactics even Democrats won't stoop to, which says a lot. Now, he is using the money people donated to his campaign to run attack ads on the radio against Sandy Smith.

I hope that everyone in or around NC's first congressional district will rebuke Sandy Roberson with their ballots for hurting us all with his underhanded below the belt skullduggery in this race.

Perhaps those who have endorsed or supported Roberson will contact him and explain why they are dropping their support or will do so if he does not stop trying to destroy something if he can't control it.

Please remind Sandy Roberson, the "DC Swamp Dog with no bone" that destroying things he can't control is what woke totalitarian Democrats do, not honorable Republicans who are supposed to offer us an alternative method of governance.

Anyone who truly puts the needs of the citizens and voters of NC-District 1 as their top priority would not put the slim chance a GOP candidate can carry this Democrat-leaning district at risk by going down and dirty nuclear in the primary like Sandy Roberson.

Roberson's low-road and low-brow dirty campaign is damaging his own chances of success along with lowering the chances for the other seven GOP candidates in the primary as well.

Applause to Sandy Smith for running a classy campaign and keeping her head above the big-money DC swamp tactics of Sandy Roberson and standing strong on the core conservative principles we need in Washington.

Now, let us see if the other candidates in the GOP primary Will Aiken, Brad Murphy, Ernest Reeves, Brent Roberson, Billy Strickland, and Henry Williams will rebuke Sandy Roberson's dirty campaign as well?
