I know this got off topic but I felt it was important and does lend to illegal immigration.

This would make a good topic on it's own. I don't think decriminalizing drugs makes us liberals. We have different reasons, ours being to run off the murderous drug cartels. How bout starting up a discussion about this.

Don't worry, Cynthia, there are "liberals" who fight for freedom, liberty, equal rights and justice for all and then are there are "liberals" who fight for authoritarian socialism through liberal government and liberal spending. How the latter stole our lovely "liberal" word and turned into a bunch of commie crap I don't know, but I think while we're taking back our country, we should also take back our word "liberal".

The real meaning of the word "liberal" is liberalism that's rooted in classic republicanism and the very basis of political ideology of the United States. Today, most people don't know that. Shame, too.

But I totally agree with your suggestion to start a drug decriminalization thread on the Other Topics.

I did hold out a lot of hope for Lou Dobbs. Now after this interview that millions of Americans have already listened to and more will listen to, I think his possibility of being elected to president of these United States just went out the window.

What he said in this interview makes him no more or no less than a two faced liar.

I am now and always will be against "illegal immigration" no matter where it comes from but it is statistically known that the number of illegals in this country are a big part of the illegal element in the U.S. Lou should not have backed away from that fact in front of this spanish commentator. He should have stood firm on the facts. Also he should have supported Sheriff Arpaio who has the right idea when it comes to criminals being incarcerated to be penalized and not "coddled" in prison.

I agree with the Sheriff completely and if I had the opportunity to do so, I certainly would vote for him for Governor of Arizona.

As it stands, after this interview, I would not vote for Lou Dobbs for dog catcher position. He is a two-faced back stabber to the American voters.
