Republican leaders and Presidential candidate Trump want the SAVE ACT inserted into a "must pass" funding bill called a continuing resolution (C.R.) to force passage of the bill or the government shuts down.

ALIPAC.us supports this strategy because the SAVE ACT would amend the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 to enact stricter voting regulations, including requiring proof of U.S. citizenship to register for federal elections.
