Thread: Some Good News & Some Bad News from ALIPAC

Friends of ALIPAC,

First the good news!

We are pleased to announce that while both major Presidential candidates continue to avoid the issue of illegal immigration, more Congressional and state candidates are addressing the issue than ever before.

We have now exceeded our number of endorsements for 2006, when we endorsed 116 campaigns. As of this morning, we have endorsed 141!

More endorsements will be added each day as we dig in further with our research and scour the nation for the good guys and gals. Remember to check our endorsements link daily for updates and please make sure you are engaging in our national plan of action, which is detailed in "How Americans Can Fight Illegal Immigration in the 2008 Campaigns!"

Now for some bad news.

National polls say that many Americans are blaming Republicans more than Democrats for the economic crisis. This is leading to falling polling numbers for Republican candidates across the board.

The reason this is bad news for our issue is that the vast majority of the those we are endorsing are Republicans and they are being harmed by this shift.

ALIPAC is a non-partisan and non-connected Political Action Committee and while we are eager to endorse Democrats and third party candidates, the majority of candidates that are most closely aligned with the pro-enforcement attitudes of the American public are Republicans.

A lot can change in the remaining 28 days, but there is a growing danger that American voters will throw some "babies out with the bath water" and that makes your support for these candidates more important than ever!

Some more good news!

Even the illegal alien supporting groups are now agreeing with the recent Center for Immigration Studies report that our illegal alien population is reversing! It is now an established fact and further proof that ALIPAC's platform is the way to go.

More Good News!

Very special thanks to all of you that called CA Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to ask him to veto the bills that would give illegal aliens licenses and establish the Dream Act in California. We are happy to report he has vetoed both the license bill and the Dream Act. We have won this round but we must get on top of the California legislature soon.

Yes, illegal aliens do commit more crimes than legal immigrants or average American citizens.

Have you any information on AB 2076 that Prohibited cities, counties, and the CA state agencies from using the Everify Program?

As a card-carrying Republican who still plans to vote for Ron Paul, I think that the party has been washed by the pseudo-conservatism of this administration's brush. Over the past 7.5 plus years, I have been horrified by the insane spending, outsourcing of American jobs, the insourcing of cheap labor, lax border control, and declaring executive privilege or national security as a basis of ignoring congressional subpoenas.
This is just not the Republican party I joined years ago. This is RINO.

The Democrats have controlled both houses of Congress and Republican George Bush is a RINO!

No way they can blame the Republicans for this mess. The Democrats in DC are not getting the job done. They are not passing the bills for Bush to sign.

Obama was trying to put the houseing bust on the Republicans during the debate last night, when it was the Clinton administration that pushed for the sub-prime lending. This morning, the Democrats are out in force playing up disinformation and the blame game.

That's the absolute truth. I wish McCain's camp would put out a campaign ad with Waters, Dobbs, and Frank saying in 2004 that there was no problem with Fannie Mae or Franklin Raines.

Has anyone noticed how much this administration agrees with the Democrats on issues, like starting with illegal immigration amnesty? Jeb Bush would have made a better president.
