Thread: Stop the banks! Support HR 1314!

Supporters of the BofA Boycott:

It is time for us to take our collective strengths to Washington DC via phone, fax, e-mails, and office visits!

While many of us believe that what Bank of America is doing is already illegal, under federal law Section 8 USC 1324(a)(1)(A)(iv)(b)(iii), many lawmakers in Washington want to make sure any loopholes are closed.

If you are attentive, dedicated and are willing to put a little bit of legwork behind your beliefs, then we can have a major impact on current legislation under consideration.

HR 1314 "Photo ID Security Act" was filed on March 5, 2007, by Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN 7th). This bill would insist that banks only accept valid ID, which American citizens and legal immigrants would have, thus closing the door to illegal aliens. While there are some 'Real ID' provisions in this bill, having a 'Real ID' is not required for those of you that have concerns about this.

There are about 50 members of Congress that have signed HR 1314 already!

Now, we need you to join their efforts. We need your Representatives to sign HR 1314!

Please take some time to do the following 3 Steps

1. CONTACT YOUR REPRESENTATIVE TO ASK THEM TO SUPPORT HR 1314 AND...

2. THANK THE REPRESENTATIVES THAT HAVE ALIREADY SIGNED HR1314 AND ...

3. CALL THOSE NOT YET ON THE BILL TO ASK THEM TO SIGN.
