Americans for Legal Immigration PAC activists are calling the offices of Fairfax County Virginia Commissioners and Chief of Police Edwin C. Roessler Jr to demand the suspended officer be reinstated and sanctuary policies for illegal aliens be rescinded. (View Activism Alert HERE)

The Daily Caller is reporting that a Fairfax County officer has been reprimanded and suspended for honoring an ICE detainer on an illegal alien encountered at a traffic accident.

Chief Roessler claims the officer exercised a "lapse in judgment” when he called ICE about the illegal alien and “This is an unfortunate issue where the officer was confused. We have trained on this issue a lot. This is the first time we’ve had a lapse in judgment, and the officer is being punished.” (View Article HERE)

"The only lapse of judgment here is with Chief Roessler punishing an officer who has respected our federal immigration laws and federal law enforcement partners," said William Gheen, President of ALIPAC. "Roessler and the Fairfax County Commissioners are endangering American citizens with these reckless sanctuary policies for illegal aliens and need to be reminded that our states are subservient to our federal laws. Every American has the right to expect illegal immigrants to be handed over to ICE and face justice under America's existing laws."
