We have more good news to report! Our efforts over the last few months to stop the Mexican trucks, often filled with illegal aliens and drugs, to roll freely into the US has led to another win for our team.

The house has passed H.R. 3074, Transportation, Housing & Urban Development Spending Bill, which bans this project and cuts off funding. Of course, Bush will try to veto this bill.

To maximize the chances of passage, we need each of you pick up the phone and call each of your US Senators and your member of Congress to say

"Thank you for passing H.R. 3074, the Transportation, Housing & Urban Development Spending Bill. Please inform President George Bush that you will embarrass him in front of the nation by voting to override his VETO if he tries to stop this bill which will stop the Mexican trucks filled with illegal aliens and drugs from roaming freely into America"

You should call first and then request an e-mail address to follow up your call in writing.

ADVANCE FORWARD TO SHUT DOWN LICENSES FOR ILLEGALS NATIONALLY

Special Note: We need ALIPAC activists in EVERY STATE to focus on these states. Please do not e-mail us saying "But I don't live in the state of _____" One of ALIPAC's key strategies is to get people all across America focusing their calls, faxes, letters, and e-mail on states that need our assistance. Don't you want our national network helping in your state when needed?

KEY STRATEGY

With the national press coverage of Governor Spitzer retreating on the Licenses for illegals plan, and with the media coverage of the national poll showing over 77% of Americans oppose licenses for illegals, and with Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton trying to retreat (flip flop) and lie saying she now opposes licenses for illegals, we have the momentum to shut down licenses for illegal aliens in other states.

THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN WITHOUT A LOT OF HARD WORD FROM YOU!

WE NEED A LARGE VOLUME OF LETTERS, FAXES, CALLS, and EMAILS INTO THESE STATES ASAP.

Keep in mind that lawmakers in these states will be highly receptive to your pressure at this time and are going to gasp when they feel the attention we are going to give them.

ALIPAC will launch a press release and press campaign to reinforce your efforts in these states.

Please help ALIPAC target the states of...

Oregon, New Mexico, Hawaii, Maine, Michigan, Utah, Washington, and North Carolina.

Here is some sample text for your calls and e-mails. Remember, ALIPAC does not do template e-mails and faxes because these are more likely to be discarded by office staff. Keep the core points in your message, but construct your own for MAXIMUM IMPACT.

Core Points to Make

-- It has come to my attention that the state of ______ continues to issue licenses to illegal aliens despite the fact that 77% of Americans Oppose this.

-- I want the Governor and Legislature of (State Name) to take immediate action to stop illegals from receiving licenses in your state.

-- Governor Spitzer of New York is retreating from his plan to give illegal aliens licenses because almost 4 out of 5 of your constituents oppose this.

-- A lot of negative press and campaign attacks are coming in (State Name) if you do not stop giving licenses to illegals immediately.

Sample Text/Call

"My name is ____ and I am calling to request that (Governor ____ or Lawmaker ____) take immediate action to stop the state of _____ from giving licenses to illegal aliens. As you may have noticed, the national media has shown polls indicating 77% of Americans oppose licenses for illegal aliens, which means any lawmaker in the state of ______ that does not take action to stop this practice is facing certain defeat in the 2008 elections. The state of _____ should reflect the will of the American public by ceasing the practice of aiding and abetting illegal aliens and the terrorists among them by giving them licenses."

Here is your step by step.

1. Craft your own version of these points and messages.

2. Call each Governors Office on the Contact list provided below. Call and then follow your call with an e-mail, fax, or letter.

3. After calling each Governors office in these 8 states, then proceed to the state assembly websites and start calling, faxing, e-mailing, and writing, each legislator in that state. This is a huge project, but it will yield results if you do the legwork. If you live in these states, start by calling your state Senators and Rep first.

4. Scan ALIPAC's talk radio directory for any talk shows in these states. If you do not find any talk shows on our list, try using the search engines or your personal knowledge of each state to locate some. Contact talk show hosts with your messages asking them to take up the fight.

Dont forget Maryland on that state list

i have a letter from the MVA/DMV that talks about the state permitting licenses to illegals because "the state laws currently do not request proof of citizenship..."

thats insane.

Here's my own email to my state Senator and state Representative in Oregon:

Dear Senator Brown and Representative Rosenbaum,

It has come to my attention that Oregon's policies surrounding the issuance of driver licenses allow illegal aliens to obtain them. And because DMV offices also allow license applicants to register to vote without proving citizenship, this creates a situation that I cannot tolerate.

I have no qualms against immigrants. My ex-wife was a legal immigrant from the Philippines who later attained naturalized citizen status. However, I feel that aiding and abetting those who have no legal right to be here must be stopped immediately. 77% of all Americans and perhaps a higher percentage of legal immigrants oppose issuing licenses to illegal immigrants. New York Governor, Eliot Spitzer, found this out the hard way in his own state and will surely suffer from the political fallout should he decide to seek re-election. The same could be said for Oregon candidates who support the minority opinion.

Please support (or initiate) legislation in the next session to end this practice in Oregon, once and for all.

In the interim, I am writing to my U.S. Senators and Congressperson, asking them to craft legislation to be included as part of the next appropriations bill. The additional language I requested would withhold all Federal highway funding to any state that issues a driver license without proof of legal residency or voter registration without proof of citizenship. Given the mood in Washington now, I suspect this additional language will receive popular support.

Now, I have a question. I obviously missed something- I have been under the impresson that North Carolina stopped issuing driver's licenses to illegals last fall. I just went to the NCDMV website and found they accept the Mexican Matricula Consular card and ITTN's as forms of ID to get a NCDL. http://www.ncdot.org/DMV/driver_service ... lying.html

Before I go off the deep end here somebody please help me understand. I feel my blood pressure rising since visiting the above website, it's late, I'm tired and just don't trust my brain right now. Are we in North Carolina STILL issuing NCDL's to illegals or not? It sure looks that way to me.

ALIPAC was instrumental in getting a new law passed last year that now requires a VALID SS Number in NC which should cut off the illegals.

However, we do not have it in law yet specifically that "legal presence" is required so we still have a ways to go.

I added NC into the list just so we could get some calls going to Mike Easley's office to make him cringe.

He deserves a good cringe now that Spitzer is going up in flames.
