Tell 28 Vulnerable House Democrats Amnesty Will Take them Down

Please call the 28 vulnerable Democrat incumbent House members below who won their seats in 2020 by less than 25,000 votes and tell them...

"Tell Rep ______ his/her support for reconciliation Amnesty for illegal aliens in the budget bill is going to cost all of you your jobs in 2022. Most Americans oppose Amnesty for illegals and even higher levels oppose your efforts to break the rules of the Senate to give Amnesty! The Senate won't back your Amnesty budget bill plans and the voters will reject you for this next year!"

    ADDITIONAL INFO ON PETER DEFAZIO

Peter DeFazio is a member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus.
    https://progressives.house.gov/caucus-members/

Peter DeFazio also has a history of supporting immigration enforcement.
Peter DeFazio voted for the Republican immigration enforcement bill known as the Sensenbrenner bill in 2005. https://clerk.house.gov/Votes/2005661

According to a Daily Kos writer, "Peter DeFazio is a practical individual, and I think that's why he ... voted for HR 4437, which is otherwise known as the "Sensenbrenner" bill. ... This bill HR 4437 is the bill that was passed by the U.S. House in December of 2005 and has often been criticized for being too harsh on illegal immigrants." https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2006/6/28/222718/-

The Daily Kos author also claims that "Peter DeFazio is concerned about alleviating the economic distress experienced by many of the world's poor." https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2006/6/28/222718/-

So I think when calling Peter DeFazio (D-OR) (202) 225-6416 we should say following information over the phone:

Harvard Economist, George Borjas, said that with illegal immigration "there is a sizable redistribution effect. Illegal immigration reduces the wage of native workers by an estimated $99 to $118 billion a year, and generates a gain for businesses and other users of immigrants of $107 to $128 billion."
    https://cis.org/Report/Immigration-and-American-Worker

Paul Krugman, economist, and nobel prize winner agreed with George Borjas. Krugman wrote "many of the worst-off native-born Americans are hurt by immigration -- especially immigration from Mexico. Because Mexican immigrants have much less education than the average U.S. worker, they increase the supply of less-skilled labor, driving down the wages of the worst-paid Americans. The most authoritative recent study of this effect, by George Borjas and Lawrence Katz of Harvard, estimates that U.S. high school dropouts would earn as much as 8 percent more if it weren't for Mexican immigration."
    https://www.nytimes.com/2006/03/27/o...he-border.html

An article in Daily Kos, quotes civil rights leader Barbara Jordan who said: "Immigrants with relatively low education and skills may compete for jobs and public services with the most vulnerable of Americans, particularly those who are unemployed or underemployed."
    https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2006/6/28/222718/-

Bernie Sanders agreed with George Borjas, Barbara Jordan and Paul Krugman. Here is what he said back in 2015: “Open borders? No, that's a Koch brothers proposal. ... It would make everybody in America poorer ... What right-wing people in this country would love is an open-border policy. Bring in all kinds of people, work for $2 or $3 an hour, that would be great for them. I don't believe in that. I think we have to raise wages in this country, I think we have to do everything we can to create millions of jobs.”
    https://www.vox.com/2015/7/28/901449...x-conversation
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vf-k6qOfXz0

And Bernie's nemesis, the Koch brothers are also supporting amnesty. In an interview with Hugh Hewitt, George W. Bush said, "So the Bush Center is spearheading a reform movement. It’s quiet except for this book, which makes it not quiet. But it’s, we’re lining up. And you know, we’re talking to people about, you know, what needs to be done. I mean, the Koch Brothers, for example, I know that’s a word that scares a lot of people on the left, but they’re very much in favor of a rational immigration policy. And they’re putting money behind it, and they’re pushing hard. And so we’re very much involved with what you said."
    https://hughhewitt.com/president-geo...ration-debate/

And Koch brothers aren't the only ones. Amnesty is also being supported by big banks like Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan, http://www.newamericaneconomy.org/wp...rship_List.pdf and greedy big tech companies like Facebook, Microsoft, and Google. https://www.fwd.us/founders/

So if you or anyone else in your Progressive Caucus continue to demand that the Build Back Better Act include "a roadmap to citizenship for Dreamers, TPS recipients, and essential workers"
https://progressives.house.gov/2021/...caucus-meeting and you vote for any path to legal status for anyone who entered the country illegally in the reconciliation bill, then you are in the words of a statement that your caucus made in late September, allowing "this process to be dictated by special interests and corporations at the expense of women, working families, and our communities."
https://progressives.house.gov/2021/...caucus-meeting And you are breaking the promise that the Progressive Caucus made to take "on systems that privilege the wealthy and powerful to demand a government and economy that works for the people". https://progressives.house.gov/about-the-cpc

Peter DeFazio used to be one of the few Democrat members of Congress that ALIPAC could endorse and support long ago... but in more recent years he has stood with the pro-Amnesty open borders crowd and there are no longer any incumbent Democrats we can support.
