I called these three Senators this morning. Alexander, Casey and Bennett. I was told by all three offices that the AG/Amnesty has been stripped from the bill.

There is an excellent fax on the topic of HB2 visas to send your reps..I sent mine and added the updated info to tell them they need to go further in their efforts to help American workers.

Late yesterday, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) removed the Ag Worker Amnesty from the Iraq war funding bill because he was afraid of a prolonged battle over the immigration provisions. Your thousands of phone calls convinced him that there would be a high political price for pushing through a huge Illegal Alien Amnesty.

However, Reid has left in the bill another giant increase of UNSKILLED imported seasonal guest workers, from 66,000 to over 400,000 annually by 2011! Think about what an additional 334,000 unskilled foreign workers will mean to our communities!
