    Illegal Imigration

My Parents to to this country by legal means. I am Mexican American. Born here in the states and proudly served in the Armed Forces. I have always been against those entering our country ilegally even before this was a public subject.
The problem I have today is that we really don't see the banking complex making arguments against it. Those who benefit the most from ilegals are the banks. Everywhere one looks we see those people (the ilegals) carrrying gold credit cards, buying cars, homes etc. etc. etc. the do have purchasing power and the banking system knows this hence they allow this to take place.
    While you cant blame the banks entirely because most Americans are already tapped out financially. Hence the banking system seeks new future debtors which happen to be the hispanics - even at this time we are begening to see some of these ilegals also coming to a point where they too cannot pay for those homes, cars and credit cards joing the rest of indebt America. One could say that the hispanic population is holding the econom together to some extent. {Mod Edit}

    Hi, Oriongalaxie. Welcome.

Please thank your parents for coming here legally. Why can't everybody do the same?

One could say that the hispanic population is holding the econom together to some extent.
I beg to differ with you here. AMERICANS are holding the economy together. ALL Americans. Illegal aliens, no matter what their ethnicities, are treated as second-class citizens by scumbag employers who only care about the bottom line. These employers care nothing for the American worker as long as they're stuffing their wallets.

As long as there are people worldwide waiting in line for their chance of the "American dream", those who crossed the border illegally or overstayed their visas, should be sent home. Lawbreakers should not be rewarded.

We don't need people who have no respect for US laws.

    Why Illegals Must Go

I agree 100 percent with President Gheen as does every single person I know who is over the age of 50. I grew up during the 1940's through the 1950's, having been born just before the start of WW II.

If you talk to a person from my era, those of us over 50 and 60 years old you will find that we are all like minded and in agreement with President Gheen.

I am afraid however that the younger generations just don't seem to care. To me they seem apathetic about most issues, including politics and unfortunately illegal aliens flooding into our Nation. As long as they have their Ipods, their Plasma TV's and their BMW's they seem oblivious to what is going on in our Nation and in the World.

To them they are either unaware of what is going on outside their circle of comfort or it is somebody elses problem. They just don't know about it or don't care about it as long as it does not affect them personally.

I think in some ways it has to do with the environment in which they grew up. For instance in my case I grew up in the Hollywood area of Los Angeles. There were no (mod edit out) illegal students in my elementary school, junior high school or high school. They just did not live in our school district area. Remember I am talking about 1945 through 1957 when I graduated from high school.

We did not know what grafitti on buildings was nor did we have to walk by apartment buildings or commercial buildings on our way to school, surrounded by iron fences and razor wire. We used to shop at the Sears Store on Santa Monica Blvd. near Western. We never feared for our safety.

Sometime after this, probably in the 1980's things began to change. The high school I went to became predominantly (mod edit out)illegal. Buildings and Freeways started to be covered in grafitti. Iron fences and razor wire started going up around apartments and commercial buildings. The area around the Sears Store on Santa Monica and Western Avenues became more and more (mod edit out) illegal, where today I would guess the (mod edit out) illegal population in that area to be above 70 percent. Today that area has block after block after block of Spanish signs on stores, Spanish music blaring from loudspeakers in front of these stores and hundreds of Spanish speaking street merchants hawking their goods on the sidewalks. Every person you see is a Hispanic man, woman or family and if it is a woman she usually has a number of children with her as she pushes a baby buggy in front of her.

Now if you were born after this all started to happen, and neighborhoods across America started to mimic this area of Hollywood that I have described above, then you do not know anything else. You do not know an America that did not have (mod edit out)illegal ghettos or Barrios as they call them. You did not know an America without graffiti and iron fences and razor wire. You did not know an America that only had English Speaking Radio and Television Stations instead of the thousands of Spanish language stations we have today across America, from Miami to Seattle and from San Diego to New York.

Thus if you are a younger person, under the age of 40 the only America you probably know, from your cognitive years on, is the one I have described above. I like to call this generation the Ipod generation.

If you never knew an America without graffiti; if you never knew an America without iron fences and razor wire; if you never knew an America where every person working in a fast food restaurant or car wash was not (mod edit out) illegal; if you never knew an America where you could turn on the radio and TV and hear your own language and if you never knew an America where you did not have to press one for English and two for Spanish then you do not know what you have missed! It becomes impossible to care for or about something that you never knew in the first place.

For these reasons it is my personal belief that the younger generation of America, the Ipod generation, will not do what is necessary to save America and to prevent America from becoming a third world Spanish speaking nation. I hope that I am wrong. I hope that Americans for Legal Immigration, the Federation for Immigration Reform (F.A.I.R.) and all the other groups that I know are trying to Save America will check their membership demographics and prove me wrong. But so far my own personal experience indicates otherwise.

One last thing. I know that I will be attacked as a racist, a hater of Hispanics for what I said above. But the facts are as I said. There were no (mod edit out) illegals that I can remember in any of my schools or in my neighborhood. I didn't make it so. I did not cause this to be, but it was.

I have no hatred or animosity towards any group. I just want those that come to America to come here legally, learn and speak English, learn American History, want to become American citizens and obey the law. I want an America without grafitti, iron bars, razor wire, and having to press One for English and Two for Spanish.

Tennisman1939, I grew up in rural Oregon, in the 70's and early 80's, but since my life was spent in the country, near Mt. Hood, the last of six kids of a blue collar baker, and blue collar silk-presser mother, I am not with the "gotta-have-it-all" generation.

Too many people within my own age group just cannot stomach committing to anything other than their daily conveniences (Starbucks drive-thru in their SUV, on their way to the gym types). It is disheartening to me to see.

I know, though, there is still plenty of people, younger than yourself (my own father was born in 35) who feel it is very important to fight for what we have, and also to do what we can to turn the tide on the waves of illegals and the damage that invasion has brought to this country.

I hope you will stay with us, and also post some on our other boards, make some calls, and just be here to give moral support, and by all means, tell your stories so the younger generations can see how great America was during those years (it gives people heart to know they can have that if they fight enough for it).

    Excellent letter and excellent posts.

Welcome new recruits. Enjoy your stay while you're here and expect to get your blood boiling and getting more proactive than you ever have been.

It is these people in here and others like them around America that will save this Country.

Absurdplanet, by all means don't give up. I have been blocked many times but it only makes me more determined. If I had a tail it wouldn't be tucked between my legs, it would be out straight. If I had four legs, they wouldn't be shaking, they would be bowed out standing strong and firm. If I had a long snout with sharp teeth, I would show them with a low growl showing I mean business.

A couple of Oklahoma politicians argued about the House and Senate passing the anti-illegal immigration bill. One said something like the ACLU will come after us and that it will cause trouble. What? As if we are not in trouble as it is. I will call the Governors office again today and remind him of his letter to me stating he is against illegal immigration and to sign the bill. One of these politicians also made a comment that Oklahoma is trying to undermine the Federal Government and a supporter of this bill said that Oklahoma State is doing what the Federal Government failed to do.

Oh, I am 41 and I am 100% behind Gheen and all of you. I'm trying to rile up as many people as I can, especially the young ones. An example is my 18 yr old Nephew!!

The "gotta have it all" generation is a wide variety of an age group, but more prominent in the younger generation. Sadly, the concept of things should be "earned" is fading a way too fast for me.

    kinkadda,

I find most of the people that call others racist are the biggest racists of them all.

I do not like your words "black power". I do not use the words "white power". Why? It is a racist comment and when comments are made like that, it is what keeps racism alive. Having to be a rapper is not the only means of making it in this world. I looked at the website and I say good for the guy. Sadly, it has taken a few scenes from shows that have to do with race. I'm a HUGE CSI Miami fan and how many times have I seen "white" people accused of horrendous crimes? I can't even count them unless I review all the episodes. I do stand with you on the immigration issue. They are continuing to bring down our Country. They themselves are extremely racist. I have no problem with people that have a positive effect on our Country, with high morals, ethics and accountability and OBEY our laws. Those that don't have that, I don't want them here. They are all bringing down our Country and sadly the illegals are making it happen a lot quicker.

To say that white man has brought so much destruction is an ignorant comment. Our disgusting politicians need to be removed and put good honest Americans that will do good for this Country. We need our gangs and criminals (white, black, hispanic, muslim) dealt with in the harshest ways. You are in a group of a lot of politically incorrect people, you won't get far with your "black power" comments or anti-white rhetoric.

Look at crime as a whole. A lot of your child predators and child murderers are white males and hispanics. Around where I live, there are a lot of shootings and sadly too many murders already this year in the black community. Can you honestly say it's because of white man that they shot another black man because of drugs or just because they are evil? No, people need to be held accountable for their own actions. I do blame our politicians for being spineless on cracking down on these criminals. Some are so horrendous they don't deserve to live. "Whites are always being blamed for others lack of accountability and the lack of getting off their butts and doing something like...

    Ken Hamlin
    J.C. Watts
    Colin Powell
    Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson
Barack Obama (although I do not like his politics, he has not blamed society, he became something, someone)
    Clarence Thomas
    Alphonso Jackson...
and many actors and actresses that are awesome. Some, whether white or black, I hate their politics.

From the all too famous biggest racist Jesse Jackson to Senator Byrd (a white man), their racist remarks just that, racist.

This is why they need to go!

Well another march has reminded the American people how much we need to secure our boarders and completely stop illegal immigration into our country. Not only are these illegals skipping out on paying medical bills; leaving states to pick up the tab and increasing insurance rates; they now are stealing scholarships and grants for American citizens who are in need when going to college. Not to mention we are paying for their education through property taxes in our public schools to boot.
The public school system is nothing to brag about but this hurts it even more when special classes are needed and given to foreigners who can't speak English. Who don't even belong here.
Crime another problem not invited but invaded into our country by drug smugglers;rapists; murderers who run across the boarder to escape justice. Never mind of the human toll of those murdered which never should have happened. When caught they appeal to be deported and when they just don't escape we pay for their jailing. It seems half the prisons are filled with illegal trash. Guess who pays that the illegals or their native country....no us tax paying law abiding fools do.
Now I will say this only and only in one area may we need illegal immigrants. It is solely for farm work. Picking crops that's it. For the rest of the jobs we have many Americans who need them. Not everyone can or will go to college. Not everyone has the aptitude for higher learning but you know what our country should take care of its own. We don't need uneducated unskilled laborers anymore that went out when technology came about. We have American citizens who need work and make a living off of it. I know many friends of mine did it. We have youth here who need jobs and elderly to make ends meet. We had so many jobs that have gone over seas that we have our own skilled labor force scrapping for jobs any job for their families won't starve.
I say only farm work and even that was what poor folks did 70 years ago, they depended on it. But now its filled with illegal immigrants. Perhaps we may need them now; they took it over; so if they must they can have a guest worker program. But its limited. They go back home to their native country and apply and after a certain time they must return and reapply.
No path to citizenship here; you broke our laws and have the gull to demand citizen rights. When we have immigrants from all over the world applying for citizenship waiting 10 years for a reply of yes or no. Most of them have something to contribute; highly educated and they legally applied like everyone before them did. No special treatment. You want citizenship get back at the end of this line and apply and if your lucky maybe; but don't expect much if your unskilled. There is not a large market for it anymore its not the early 1900's or 1800's hundreds no longer.
    In the meantime for God's sake let our government listen to its people; the American citizens;
we don't want amnesty for law breakers, we don't want our money spent on housing; feeding and education of illegal immigrants who are taking our social services meant for our countrymen. Build a fence but place more boarder patrol on it, secure it and let it be known that from now on if you enter this country illegally you can never apply for citizenship. As for anchor babies well like everything else times have changed and people taking advantage is a sure sign that laws need to keep up with the times. A new law should be written that if a child is born within the boarders of our country they cannot be US citizens unless their parents are. Lets stop this large exploited loophole. I have no sympathy for people who fly foreign flags refuse to become part of our culture and then demand they want special treatment. This country should learn 1 thing; color; ethnic; racial blindness. Nobody gets a free ride no more, we are all treated the same. No more box checking; who cares. If your qualified you get it, it's simply if you don't well try harder. In the meantime deportation should continue and all illegal immigrants should be kicked out of this country. Those with anchor kids should pack up their kids and go home and raise them in their own country. These children at adult age can then apply for US citizenship. But their ill guided parents never. But when this loophole is closed all illegals must be deported end of story.
It is a global economy now and this country must compete. Well look around car manufacturers are laying off. Large corporations are laying off. Why because we cannot compete with low wages. We don't need foreigners making our pay scale lower in our own country. Never mind the third world health threats that they are bringing. Diseases long rid of are making appearances every health expert knows why.
One last thing not all Spanish are Mexicans or racial or racially mixed many are ethnic; most are in the melting pot; came here legally and don't need to be trashed by this latest groups behavior, who do not represent what most of Spanish descent believe. Most don't want that Hispanic check box; its ridiculous when your blue eyed and light haired. Most have American looking families in 1 generation or not. Yea the first may have that ethnic look but its not bad; they never asked for government aid, some do gooders or low life's scammed that in. So in ending; many of us of Spanish origin want you illegals out too.

That is great news William, more and more people are waking up to what is going on with our government and the illegal aliens. More and more people are getting their news over the internet as then they get the real story not the MSM's version of it.
