    Welcome ConcernedCharlottean,

Thank you for checking on that. I've had several people ask me if they had a permit and my response to this point has been "I assume so, but I have not verified it."

Thank you for helping us with this info.

    Public Assembly Permit

I have obtained a copy of the Public Assembly Permit Application required by the City of Charlotte:

    http://www.charmeck.org

If you read the bottom of the last page, you will see that the permit is forwarded to the police department in order to determine the number of officer and emergency medical technicians needed to provide security. It also states that the organizing party is repsonsible for reimbursement of these services. I was curious as to who foot the bill.

I have requested the name of the Sponsoring Organization from Emily Westbrook who is the Economic Development Special Projects Coordinator her office number is 704-432-2076 for anyone who wants to call. I will let you know how far I get.

    Mrs. XXXX,

The Marshall Park permit was issued to the Latin American Coalition. Regarding your questions about police, I please contact the Field Operations Support Services division of CMPD.

Very interesting. And I imagine the Latin American Coalition got transportation for these loafers who laid out of work to protest from nearby towns as well.......

I'd highly recommend that we try to discover if the Latin American Coalition is receiving any state of federal funding and that we petition the funds to be stopped.

Now we need to know how many police the "Field Operations Support Services division of CMPD." said the permit required initially.
