Thread: $700 B Bailout: Another George W. Bush Bait and Switch?

Given the fact that Democrats were such easy marks on WMD in 2002, how can taxpayers be assured that President Bush will not pull the wool over their eyes again, this time to the tune of $700 billion for that so-called recovery fund?

How can taxpayers know for certain that the $700 billion will not end up in ultra-rich, no-bid contracts with Halliburton for undoing collateral damage inflicted by another shock and awe campaign waged in the waning days of the Bush presidency?

Against an as-of-now unspecified Muslim nation in desperate need of western Democracy and Christianity?

Just why in the hell is it essential that $700 billion dollars of taxpayer money be coughed up NOW to rescue a gang of corrupt bankers and financial wizards whose magic wands have suddenly gone sour?

Let's get George W. Bush the hell out of Washington, D.C. and let the new administration deal with the issue on January 20!

Like William said earlier, I can't believe that there are some Americans who still believe a word that comes out of Bush's mouth.

Remember how 9/11 turned into American grannies having their breasts groped at airports? What will this turn into if it passes?

The only problem I have with this thinking is that we are giving the Democrats a pass.

They were complicit in the war, they are complicit in this and every other destructive thing in this country.

Who knows where it will end. One thing I personally believe - it won't be pretty and it won't be good for this country or it's people.

I was referring to the article that was posted. Any article that seems to put blame on one party or the other or either libs/cons, is letting both off the hook.
