Is he saying anything about illegal immigration? I doubt it. Even though he voted against the recent Senate amnesty bill, S 744, he has his own amnesty scheme that he calls "Trust but Verify." I am tired of these pseudo conservatives who are for every rightwing issue, except stopping amnesty.

The vital core of effectively ending the flood of illegal aliens is -- ILLEGAL ALIENS MUST GO HOME, AND ANY POLITICIAN WE SUPPORT MUST SAY THAT WITHOUT EQUIVOCATION. Rand Paul has indirectly said he will not support efforts to require illegal aliens to leave our homeland (even though it is now the current law).

Patriots, aren't you tired of being treated like the bastard son at a wedding anniversary? Aren't you tired of being told to sit in the back of the conservative movement's bus? Abortion is a national evil, and gun control denies us the right to self defense but amnesty destroys all. Where do these pseudo conservatives get off trying to dance around on this critical issue?

Patriots, do not trust Rand Paul and tell him to stop looking for excuses to allow illegal aliens to stay in our country.

Thanks for your covering this event live. And many thanks for the update about Ted Cruz. I assume from your post that Rand Paul was silent on stopping amnesty. Because amnesty will devastate the conservative movement, it is tied to every rightwing issue. We must never forget this, and we must not let the politicians forget it either. No politician can be a legitimate "conservative" and support any type of "legal status" for illegal aliens or be silent about it.

Silence is consent, inactivity is passive assistance. Unless Mr. Paul knocks off his "trust but verify" nonsense scheme for amnesty, he should be denied support by real conservatives. And he must stop his caustic remarks aimed at patriots who have the impudence to say "ILLEGAL ALIENS GO HOME!"
