A field organizer for the West Virginia Democratic Party and staffer for Representative Nick Rahall (D-West Virginia) is a busy guy, but he still manages to make time for his passion: supporting Palestine and Islam.
Collin Peterson appeared to “play terrorist” in photos posted to his Twitter account — which has since been “mysteriously” deleted since the news broke. What Peterson didn’t seem to take in to account is that screenshots last forever. The one below shows the organizer holding what looks like an AK47 imitation airsoft gun while wearing a keffiyeh.

His Palestinian get-up was just the start of his alarming social media posts, as he also plastered other pro-terrorism imagery that demonstrate his stance on the matter:

Following his apparent activism online for Palestine, it’s likely not a coincidence Peterson chose to work for representative Rahall, who is the most senior Arab-American member in the House and has also attacked Israel, according to Collegiate Sports Nation.
Peterson was probably not instructed by Rahall’s camp to remove his pro-Palestinian posts since the representative of Lebanese descent has said in the past, “Israel can’t continue to occupy, humiliate and destroy the dreams and spirits of the Palestinian people and continue to call itself a democratic state.”
Rahall was the only member of the House to oppose the 1993 resolution for an end to the Arab boycott of Israel. His sister has also been a lobbyist for Qatar.
It’s possible that Peterson’s opinion formed by the Islam class he took in college at Randolph Macon College as part od his religious studies minor, when he expressed his excitement on his course(s):
“And I’m really excited for Islam. I’ve wanted to study it and thought about just taking Western Religions but decided not to I am so burned out of learning about Judaism and Christianity. So i’m really excited they offered. Couldn’t fit Buddhism in which is disappointing but I studied it in Eastern religions so I got it covered!”
