Graphic footage captured on Facebook Live showed a white man being tortured in Chicago by African-American assailants as they laughed and expressed their disgust for white people and President-elect Donald Trump.

Chicago police announced on Wednesday evening that they had arrested four people in connection with the crime, according to Fox 32.

The video, taken by a woman identified on Facebook as “Brittany Herring,” shows a white man tied up with tape across his mouth. The victim is shown being repeatedly hit, sliced at with a knife, berated and his clothes ripped off.

At one point in the video, the primary assailant shouts at the bound man, “**** Donald Trump, nigga! **** white people, boy! **** white people, boy!” while he kicks him. At another point in the video, the perpetrators laugh about being reported to the police in response to a Facebook commenter claiming they’re going to be arrested. They also mock another commenter who said their torture was not funny — by claiming it is funny.

The unidentified victim is currently being treated in a hospital for his injuries. The local Chicago CBS affiliate reports that the tortured man is categorized as special needs.

Fox 32 reports that no charges have yet to be filed in the case as of Wednesday night.

Four In Custody Over Torture of Man on Facebook Live

Chicago police have taken four people into custody over a horrific Facebook live video that shows them kicking and torturing a young special needs white man.
The young man was gagged and bound, as the group hit him, kicked him, sliced his clothes with a knife, and cut his scalp.
One member of the group, an African American girl streamed the whole incident on her Facebook account in a live video, under her name, Brittany Herring. The live video was posted to her account Tuesday afternoon.
The attackers are heard yelling, “F**k Donald Trump, n*gger, f**k white people, boy!”

The third video features the victim bound and gagged, enduring additional torture.
Chicago police posted that the incident is under investigation, and the suspects are being questioned. The suspects include two females and two males, all reportedly 18 years old. Police say they are suspecting that this may be a kidnapping case, and that the victim may have been held for as long as 24-48 hours.
During a press conference Wednesday, police were asked if this was being considered a hate crime, since the individuals made comments about white people and Donald Trump.
Police responded that they are still “investigating” that.
“Kids make stupid mistakes, I shouldn’t call them kids, they are legally adults, but they are young adults and they make stupid decisions,” said Commander Kevin Duffin. “That certainly will be part of whether or not we seek a hate crime, determine whether or not this is since or stupid ranting and raving.”
Chicago Police Chief Eddie Johnson said, “I think part of it is just stupidity. People ranting about something they think might make a headline. At this point we don’t have anything concrete to point (toward a hate crime) but we’ll keep investigating and let the facts guide us on how this concludes.”
Heavy reported:

While on patrol Officers observed a disoriented male walking 3400 W. Lexington on January 3, 2017 who was then transported to an area hospital for treatment. At 5:26 p.m. officers then responded to a battery at a residence on the 3300 block of W. Lexington where they discovered signs of a struggle and damage to the property and (were) able to link this evidence to the disoriented male. Officers later became aware of a social media video depicting a batter of an adult male which is believed to be the same individual. At this point CPD believes the video is credible and detectives are questioning persons of interest in the case. The victim, whom CPD believes is from a neighboring suburb, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.

The following video was broadcast on Facebook Live and depicts Brittany Herring and others tying-up, attacking, and cutting an unidentified white male.



As Alastair at StockBoardAsset.com notes, around the 14 minute mark, “This N*gga right here represents Trump”, said the unidentified man.

The video was uploaded to Facebook live yesterday by a user named Brittany Herring, the African-American woman who appears in the clip. The 30 minute video shows a young man tied up in a corner with blood coming from his head. The man’s mouth is gagged as thugs humiliate and abuse him.

The victim is repeatedly kicked and hit while forced to denounce white people and Donald Trump. Additional footage has been revealed...

The video has been confirmed as real, Chicago police told FOX 32 that four people are currently in custody.

The victim is repeatedly kicked and hit, his scalp is cut, all while he is tied up with his mouth taped shut.

The suspects on the video can be heard yelling, "F*** Donald Trump! F*** white people!"

Community activist Andrew Holmes was made aware of the disturbing video.

FOX 32 was told the young man is now at a hospital being treated for his injuries.
We look forward to both president Obama's reaction, which is unlikely, as well as president-elect Trump's tweet response - which is far more likely - to this disturbing act of hatred.

Obama DOJ absent after shocking assault in Chicago, highlights hate-crime double standard

The reaction to a shocking video that shows a group of black teens beating and torturing a mentally disabled white man as someone yelled “f*** Trump” and “f*** white people,” which was streamed live on Facebook Tuesday, exposes liberals’ chilling double standard when it comes to hate crimes.

The horrifying video showed the victim — bound and gagged — being kicked and hit repeatedly. The assailants also cut the man’s scalp and forced him to drink water from a toilet. Police said the victim was held for anywhere from 24 to 48 hours.

But despite the fact that the assailants’ anti-Trump and anti-white chants make their motives abundantly evident, and while a spokesperson for the Chicago Police Department told LifeZette that detectives were investigating all possible motives, authorities and pundits appear to maintain not only that the incident wasn’t a racially motivated hate crime, but also that it wasn’t even political.

“I think some of it is just stupidity, people just ranting about something that they think might make a headline. I don’t think that at this point we have anything concrete to really point us in that direction [of a hate crime], but we’ll keep investigating and we’ll let the facts guide us on how this concludes,” said Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson. To add insult to most grievous injury, bail for the main perpetrator of the kidnapping has been set at only $1,500.

“I’m gonna say something that’s probably not very popular — we cannot callously go about classifying things as a hate crime,” Symone Sanders said on CNN Wednesday night.

Such reluctance to call a hateful spade a spade would surely be absent were the races of victim and perpetrators reversed. Had a video of white men beating and torturing a mentally disabled black man while chanting "f*** black people" and "f*** Obama" surfaced not two months removed from President Obama's election, one would be hard-pressed to find a soul on earth who would say with a straight face that there was no evidence to suggest a hate crime.

The hypocrisy has not gone unnoticed. "We would like to know where is the DOJ, @TheRevAl, the Civil Rights Movement and @CornellWBrooks to do his Sit In. #HateCrime" tweeted Diamond and Silk, AKA Lynnette Hardaway and Rochelle Richardson.

Every time a black person is victimized by a white person — or even when a black criminal is killed lawfully by a white police officer — liberal pundits and politicians are there crying hate crime.

Indeed, the Obama administration is so eager to go after white racists that the Justice Department will even investigate imaginary hate crimes if the victims are non-white. In November, Loretta Lynch announced that the Justice Department was investigating a slew of hate crimes allegedly perpetrated by Donald Trump supporters in the wake of Trump's victory in the election.

"I know that many Americans are concerned by a spate of recent news reports about alleged hate crimes and harassment. Some of these incidents have happened in schools. Others have targeted houses of worship. And some have singled out individuals for attacks and intimidation."

Most of those hate crimes turned out to be fakes.

"It's sickening. You know it makes you wonder what would make individuals treat somebody like that," Superintendent Johnson said of the crime.

Of course, it's not difficult at all to discern what would make these vicious thugs target a mentally disabled white man with such barbaric violence.

For over a year, the mainstream media, leading politicians and pundits, and even the Obama administration itself did everything possible to instill in the public the idea that Donald Trump and his supporters were racists and bigots.

For even longer, any and all opposition to Obama's agenda, and every police officer just trying to do his job, were similarly described as symptomatic of the apparent innate racism of white Americans.

Meanwhile, left-wing publications abound with editorials decrying "white privilege," "whiteness," and "white males," while the nation's leading universities teach courses on the same.

Simply put, Democrats and liberals have dehumanized white people and created a climate in which violence against them is implicitly encouraged.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Four people were charged Thursday with committing a hate crime, in connection with the apparent torture of an 18-year-old man with special needs that was streamed live on Facebook. They each face several other charges.

Jordan Hill, 18, of Carpentersville; Tesfaye Cooper, 18, of Chicago; Brittany Covington, 18, of Chicago; and Tanishia Covington, 24, of Chicago; were each charged with aggravated kidnapping, hate crime, aggravated unlawful restraint, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and residential burglary. Hill was also charged with robbery and possession of a stolen motor vehicle.

The video shows the victim, who police said has mental disabilities, was forced to drink toilet water, tied up, slashed, beaten and yelled at.

"Bro look. (Screaming). Get to the corner, put your hands against the wall, bro," one of the attackers said.

The victim, who is from northwest suburban Crystal Lake, was reported missing from nearby Streamwood by his parents on Monday. Police said they had not heard from him since Saturday, when they dropped him off at the McDonald's near Schaumburg and Barrington roads.

A manager told ABC7 Eyewitness News the young man often came to the restaurant to eat and would hang out until it was time for closing.

Chicago police said the victim encountered one of the suspects on Monday - apparently someone he'd met before - and he was driven into the city. They did not say which suspect that was.

"He is an acquaintance of one of these subjects. They stole a van and brought him to Chicago," Area North CPD Commander Kevin Duffin said Wednesday.

The manager said he did not see the 18-year-old leave with anyone, so he doesn't know when he came into contact with the group.

The victim's parents told officers they had received text messages from people who claimed to be holding him captive. During their investigation, Streamwood investigators found the disturbing video on Facebook, which showed he had been verbally and physically abused.

They were then notified by Chicago police that the young man had been found Tuesday wandering in distress in the 3400-block of West Lexington Street in the city's Homan Square neighborhood on the West Side. They said he was clearly traumatized.

Then investigators determined that between the time he'd been reported missing and when he was seen wandering, the victim was held between 24 and 48 hours by the group.

Police said they don't know the motive behind the apparent torture or the suspects' decision to film it. But they investigated the attack as a hate crime. At one point, the teens, who are black, told the victim, who is white, to say he loves black people.

A Facebook spokesperson released this statement Thursday:

"We do not allow people to celebrate or glorify crimes on Facebook and have removed the original video for this reason. In many instances, though, when people share this type of content, they are doing so to condemn violence or raise awareness about it. In that case, the video would be allowed."

Facebook's community standards with regard to Facebook Live state, "We understand the unique challenges of live video. We know it's important to have a responsible approach. That's why we make it easy for people to report live videos to us as they're happening. We have a team on-call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, dedicated to responding to these reports immediately."

A joint investigation between Streamwood police and Chicago police is ongoing.

All four suspects will appear in Bond Court around 1:30 p.m. Friday.
