Do not underestimate Romney. He is a financial genius. He knows that we can't balance the buget at all if the illegals stay here and suck off the nation. That is the reason he wants them gone as well as national security. We also can't afford the crime and the chaos in our cities.

Sorry Bowman. I meant to say a $trillion cost for the war. It was late when I was posting last night.
We all know the cost of illegals is high in the country, but it isn't going to help the economy if we have to finance a huge agency like DHL to get rid of them. It's probably costing us more in enforcement. The only way to make them go is to cut them off from everything, and I mean everything. Like Ron Paul said, if they come into this country they are on their own. They will get nothing from this government and he even included health care. He said let the churches provide their health care like they use to, it's not up to the American people to provide them with anything. Bet there wouldn't be so many of them if their kids couldn't go to school and they couldn't use our hospitals as clinics and stopped getting all the other bennies.RIP TinybobIdaho -- May God smile upon you in his domain forevermore.

I can't waste my vote on principle
Not to be too harsh, but that thinking is what has gotten us in the fix we are in today.
Yes, voting on principle might get us someone bad in the WH - but not voting on principle and voting for the one the media has annointed as 'fit to run or winnable' will get us someone bad in the WH. It's 6 of one and half dozen of another.
We were told we had to vote for George Bush , because we certainly didn't want a Democrat like Kerry in there. We will never know, but would Kerry have been worse??? He would have had to go some, that's for sure. Now illegal immigration probably would not have changed much - but I don't think we would be mired in this war in Iraq.
Yes, if the Ron Paul voters had supported Romney, he might have won.
Then if the Romney voters had supported Ron Paul - ???????? If the Romney supporters would support Ron Paul - his message might get out there for more to hear. It is pretty apparent he has a message the media and power guys don't like - they are working very hard at keeping him from being heard. Doesn't that say something?
I don't know a lot about Romney, may have to learn, but what I hear most is 'he can win'. That doesn't do it for me - that pretty much means he is 'one of the boys' - if the media thinks he can win.
Also, I hear he is a good business man and financial genius. That may be true. The fact is the 'it's good for business' to have illegals here. Those 'good business men and financial geniuses' are the ones who have paid politicians to bring the illegals here - and to keep them here. They are the ones that have made millions off the illegals - because are forced to foot their bills.
Not saying Romney is guilty of any of that - but 'a good businessman and financial genius' is not necessarily a good thing - not for us and not for America.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Romney wants illegals gone. Romney wants jobs back in America. Do you think those two items could be responsible for our financial mess?

I agree, nntrixie. We are going to keep getting what we vote for. All the candidates have a quick fix for the economy, but it stll that takes us deeper into debt. Until we vote in someone who will overhaul this government and get back to abiding by the Constitution, we are going to continue to sink. Romney may be able to do some short term things to get us back on our feet temporarily, but he'll be controlled by the globalist elites just like the rest of them.

Oh that statement is just sad but probably true. It just makes you want to give up and watch the US go to ruin.

I know, Paige, it's really disheartening when you look at the big picture. I've thought it may even be too late to straighten this mess out. It is so multi-faceted.

I actually will have to read up on Romney and see about his stand. I know they are saying he wants them gone - but I'll still have to see.
But the statement that he is a business man and a financial whiz - is not in his favor as far as illegals go. They are good for business and great for the Wall Street - it's Americans and Main Street they hurt. That was my point.
I don't want to say anything or imply anything untrue - so would somone who is a Romney supporter explain about the sale or proposed sale of his business to China.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

My problem with Romney is that he has not been clear about what he would do with the millions of illegals already here. I know some have said he's going to make them go home, but I haven't heard him come right and clarify that.
