#1 priority picking the right president to stop illegals

The number one priority of all americans should be to pick the best President to stop illegal immigration and combat terrorism.

But who? Let's try to find a real man.

My research shows that Duncan Hunter looks good for border issues. He has built a triple border fence in the San Diego area.

Who are you supporting? Any ideas on Hunter or other candidates.

Lucky for us the dems are dumb enough to think that Hillary is their best candidate. I think that her only chance would be if conservatives divide up and do not back one single candidate or if they do not vote.

Every conservative needs to vote or all hopes of stoping illegals and repairing the damage wil be lost.

It is not that far until the first primaries and we need to make decisions now.

From my research of their individual sites (listed under issues), it looks like Romney is not very focused on border or immigration.

Let's get talking about potential candidates!

They were talking about this very thing on Fox this weekend. The number one priority for a Presidental Candidate is going to be illegal immigration. The Dems are fooling themselves thinking that it is going to be the war. It is not the war Fox stated it is illegal immigration.

There was already a study on this, I can't locate it. But the War was the Number #1 priority.

Illegal immigration is a HUGE issue, but not number one. To me, it should be in the top three.... Actually, to me - illegal immigration is just a symptom of the globalist agenda - as is war in iraq and soon iran... AND the precursors to the NAU.

IF you want to know who is best. Depends on where you lean as each has his strongpoints above the others. BUT, your search should start and end with the following.

Ron Paul
Tancredo
Hunter

That is my order. But those three are "it" -- anybody else and you will have complete chaos.

My first choice right now is Ron Paul, I beleive word of him is spreading across America fast. They are doing a fund raiser today you can go to his web site. But on C-span at 6:30 pacific time I heard he had already raised over $800,000. :lol:

Hunter and Tancredo are both great but don't seem to be moving up much. but the you can not believe the polls of the Main Stream media, they want one of their globalist buddies who will open our borders and give a mass amnesty to millions.

I just heard also this morning that Rommney was for enforcing the laws and giveing a path to the rest for citizenship....NO WAY can we go the route again!

Hunter is a good choice and my 2nd but 1 first place is Tancredo due to his decade long voting record. Tancredo & Hunter together would be great.

Ron Paul has dropped off my list. He was on it but no longer due to things that I'm finding out about him.

Surely Paul isn't associating himself with Hagel in any substantial capacity. I can't support Paul either. Regardless, this is the first I've heard of him having any connection to Hagel. :?

The question was if he wasn't running for president who would he pick, he said he did not know, but he would pick Hagel for his knowledge on foriegn policy.

SoSad, you are correct. I've heard the flip flop head say something similar to this. He hasn't actually come out and said he would give amnesty per say, but he doesn't think deportations are the answer either.
Well we all know where that is leading because if mitt isn't planning on deporting them, then he is planning to give them all amnesty.

I don't have a link to the source, but I believe it was when he was being interviewed in Miami a few months back. Mitt was asked the question on how he felt about illegal immigration. Of course, flip flop head said he was against illegal immigration and voted for the fence. The reporter asked him his plan on dealing with the 12 million (yeah right) already here, and mitt said he didn't believe in mass deportations and he only wanted to deport the felons and criminals and have a way for the "good" workers to stay. WHICH WE ALL KNOW WOULD BE SOME KIND OF AMNESTY!!!

NEVERMIND THAT HE LEFT OUT THE FACT THAT HE SUPPORTED S. 2611 IN 06 AND WARNED REPS THAT THEY WERE IN FOR DIRE CONSEQUENCES IF THEY DIDN'T SUPPORT THE "PRESIDENT'S BILL."

I agree it is one of the three - Paul, Tancredo and Hunter.

Personally, I think Tancredo deserves the honor and I think he would do what he says. I am not sure how others feel about him, however,

Hunter, I don't know - I'll have to bone up on his stand on Iraq. While immigration is #1 for me - the war is #2.

Truly, I think Paul has the most common sense approach - although I haven't heard if he wants to enforce employer sanctions or not.

Yeah, Wolf Blitzer was just reporting on it on CNN.

Speaking of Wolf, he actually interviewed Paul regarding who else he likes in the presidential race. This is more recent than the one above, and Paul did mention Tom Tancredo. However, when Wolf pressed him on whether he agrees with Tom's views on immigration, Paul said, "Not entirely. I would adress the issue a little differently."

I too think Hunter has been extremely conistent on his position on illegal immigration and border security. His voting record proves that. Actually, among the current crop of candidates, Hunter and Tancredo are the two most consistent in voting against illegal immigrant favorable legislation (by a wide margin). Most importantly, among they current candidates that have served or are serving in the U.S. Congress, Hunter and Tancredo are the only two candidates that have NEVER voted on an amnesty!

One of the biggest things that sets Duncan Hunter apart from the entire field of candidates, including Tancredo, is his extensive involvement with our military. His years of experience as chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, and his service in combat as a member of the 173rd Airborne in Vietnam make him eminently qualified to assume the position of Commander-In-Chief of our armed forces. Incidently, Duncan Hunter's son is currently serving as a Marine Corps Lt. in Afghanistan, and served two previous tours in Iraq. Duncan Hunter wasn't afraid to answer his country's call to duty, nor was his son!

Too bad so many in the GOP rely on the Hildabeast and Guiliani supporting media to tell them who their choice for president should be. It does not help at all, that the media does not fairly report the true problems of immigration. If they report it at all, it is buried on the midnight news.

I think so many Americans are not aware of the problems. It seems that only the middle class seems to care at all.

So far I'm for Hunter then Tancredo and Paul. Unless i get more news to convince me otherwise .

During a town hall forum interview, Ron Paul was asked the following question by Chris Jones from Meredith New Hampshire: "Congressman, just to get to know you a little better, if you were not running right now for office, is there a current candidate that you would identify with most, hence who would vote for yourself".

Ron Paul's anwer to the question from Mr. Jones was Sen. Chuck Hagel and Rep. Dennis Kucinich. Sen. Hagel and Rep. Kucinich are two of the strongest supporters in Congress of amnesty for millions of illegal aliens. Each of them have horrible voting records with regard to border security and illegal immigration.

The only canidates i trust and believe right now are Hunter and Tancredo. The rest have made too many conflicting statements on a variety of issues. especailly on Illegal Immigration.
