52 tea party Republicans stood against Boehner — and Obama’s amnesty; here they are

With 52 members of his own party rejecting a short-term funding bill for the Department of Homeland Security, one could say the deck was stacked against House Speaker John Boehner.
The House voted Friday 224-203 against a measure put forth by GOP leadership to continue current DHS funding without explicit limitations on paying for President Obama’s overreaching executive amnesty.
“It does not make any difference whether the funding is for three weeks, three months or a full fiscal year,” said U.S. Rep. Mo Brooks, R-Ala. “If it’s illegal, it’s illegal!”
The outcome prompted Boehner loyalist U.S. Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., to lash out against the conservative wing of his own party who are seeking to defund Obama’s potentially unconstitutional amnesty programs.
“I’ve had it with this self-righteous, delusional wing of the party,” King said in an appearance on MSNBC.
(With the midnight hour approaching — DHS funding was set to expire at the end of the day — the Senate passed a stop-gap measure to continue funding for another week, which the House supported.)
Here are the — dare we say principled? — Republican lawmakers who defied Boehner, as provided by The Blaze:

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! You are the True Heroes of our Political System. You are not only doing your best to protect our nation from illegal immigration, you are protecting our citizens from the suffering and ravages caused them by illegal immigration.
Not a dime, Republicans, not a dime. Hold the line. Stand your ground.
Defund his corrupt and foreign-based Department of Homeland Security.
My guess is when someone in Congress has the time to ask how many employees of DHS are actually US citizens and how many are not, you'll be shocked by the staggering disparity in favor of foreign persons involved in this department.
And don't stop with employees, check out their contractors and subcontractors and vendor companies as well and see how many of them are American citizen owned versus foreign owned. I'm sure you'll want to think twice about handing over another $100 billion to these bandits.
At least you should. These days who knows who is who any more, let alone who they're working for and have been paid to serve and betrayLast edited by Judy; 03-01-2015 at 07:01 PM.
