9/11 Memorial
We were working in a new sub-division that day, the plumber working inside called us off the roof and we all stood around the radio and more and more construction workers kept showing up until there were about 25 of us in that house, they had looks on they're faces like it was some kind of Orson Wells "War of the Worlds" announcement!
The Mosque around the corner from my house, has been empty for a month now, maybe 2 or 3 cars in the parking lot. Today it was packed to capacity, cars parked out on the huge front lawn clear to the street!
Tomorrow is Sunday, last Sunday the Mosque was empty. We shall see!
Tomorrow I will say a prayer for America, she seems to need all the help she can get at this point! "God Bless You America!"
"This right here sounds very beautiful indeed!"

A Hero
The morning froze in silence
as the terror filled our hearts
we stared in disbelief at what we saw.
Through the dust we felt so helpless,
wishing that we could have known.
We hold our families close, as we watched them fall.
Some people didn't waiver, they had a job to do.
There was nothing that could keep them away...
Oh, it's a special kind of hero
who would sacrifice themselves - so I could spend another day with you.
And for all the fallen heroes who saved a life that day
your courage unites a nation, and we'll remember you.
So many people crying, walking in a daze
holding pictures of their loved ones
through an empty haze.
Our Heroes didnt falter, they held out a helping hand
remembering their own children, as they rushed inside again.
They didnt waiver, they had a job to do
and some never made it home that day.
Oooh well remember you. We honor you, salute,
respect and cherish you.
Not many people can do the duty that
you knew on that cold September day.
Lyrics by Amy Matthew ASCAP 2008,
music by Karen Mack from KAR Records.

I was at work that morning at the Kentucky National Guard Center in Frankfort Kentucky.I was a full time technition Mechanic with the CO.F 135 AVATION ASSUALT UNIT assigned to the 101st at Fort Cambell Ky.It was my day to take care of the break room.Break was at 9 o clock in the morning.I go up early to get the money box ready and snacks out, walked by and turned tv on it was then talking about the first plane that hit.I ran back to the door and yelled at the rest of the guys hey theres been a plane crash at the world trade center. They came running and we just stood their looking and listening when the second plane hit the other tower we just then knew what was going on a sick feeling came over us.We sat and stood in shock.I was the first to speak,i looked around the room looking at the faces of friends and buddies ive had been with for years and said fellows you know this is a terroeiest act and we will be going to war soon look around you and remember were you where when it happened because some of us may not come back.It was a feeling we all shared but didnt want to express our anger frustration and patrotism of going to war and killing the S.O.B.s that done this.Well the rest is history now the war is still on going.I lost 4 close solders brothers that i worked with everyday and 5 wounded crippled for life. But ill never forget where i was and the pain shock and being scared of what the future held for us.But everytime i reflect on that day istill wonder the fireman first responders thinking going in that day and not knowing eather most lost their lives doing it.Not like a soldier going training for combat and putting it into play these firemen only had minutes to size up react and do what the could.DIED HEROS.Just like our soldiers are still doing today. After my retirement in 2006 30 years hard to believe im still here over half my life i gave to the U.S ARMY and for the people of this country and to see people americans and illegals protest against this country and flag just burns my ass. Many of lives lost in wars just so they can have the right to protest. It makes you wonder sometimes if we have fought the wrong wars, should be fighting right here at home against the ones here at home who are against us.Thats why i take great pride in serving in the military and on here this site ALIPAC to fight again to keep AMERICA FREE FROM HARM,and if need to id go back in military roll and stand once more to protect her again. duckman
