58,000 Non-Citizens Voted In Texas State Elections, 95,000 Registered According To Attorney General

"Every single instance of illegal voting threatens democracy in our state and deprives individual Texans of their voice"

According to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton's office, the Texas Department of Public Safety has identified 58,000 non-US citizens who have voted in at least one Texas election since 1996, reports NBCDFW.

What's more, 95,000 non-citizens are registered to vote in Texas according to the DPS.
"Texas law allows lawfully present noncitizens to obtain driver’s licenses by showing proof of lawful presence to DPS," said Paxton's office in a statement. "However, only citizens are eligible to vote. And Texas law currently does not require verification of a voter’s statement that they are a citizen."
The Texas Secretary of State this week provided the information to Paxton's office, which can prosecute election crimes.
Every single instance of illegal voting threatens democracy in our state and deprives individual Texans of their voice," Paxton said in a statement. "My Election Fraud Unit stands ready to investigate and prosecute crimes against the democratic process when needed."
Republican Gov. Greg Abbott praised the findings, which officials said were the result of voter rolls being checked against a state database of Texas residents who are not citizens but leally obtained driver's licenses.
"I support prosecution where appropriate. The State will work on legislation to safeguard against these illegal practices," Abbott tweeted. -NBCDFW
The Texas Secretary of State's office is "very confident" that the information they received is current, according to spokesman Sam Taylor - however a voting rights group immediately questioned its accuracy.
Democratic lawmakers in the Lone Star State have urged caution "because we have consistently seen Texas politicians conjure the specter of voter fraud as pretext to suppress legitimate votes, we are naturally skeptical," according to Dallas state Rep. Rafael Anchia.
Paxton mentioned three recent voter fraud convictions in his statement, adding "Nothing is more vital to preserving our Constitution than the integrity of our voting process, and my office will do everything within its abilities to solidify trust in every election in the state of Texas. I applaud Secretary of State Whitley for his proactive work in safeguarding our elections."
Between 2005 and 2017, 97 people were prosecuted for numerous voter fraud violations according to Paxton's office.
"In 2018, Paxton’s Election Fraud Unit – with assistance from a criminal justice grant from the governor’s office – prosecuted 33 defendants for a total of 97 election fraud violations. Last February, the attorney general announced a significant voter fraud initiative and addressed key problems and policy areas related to election law," according to NBCDFW.

Texas finds 95,000 non-citizen registrations and 58,000 illegal votes. Imagine California...

Every illegally cast ballot by a foreigner cancels out the vote of an American citizen. Why Democrats don't care about that is worth looking at a bit more closely.

Democrats and their press allies are always yelling about voter fraud being a miniscule "actually very rare," practically non-existent thing, a figment of fevered conservative imaginations. But state election officials in Texas have uncovered a whopping 95,000 illegal voter registrations from non-citizens, with more than half - 58,000 - actually casting ballots. Seems the problem is bigger than was imagined, even -- on the right. The story is being covered by the mainstream press. WFAA, a big Texas radio station, had this:
About 95,000 non-citizens are registered to vote in Texas, and more than half of those have cast ballots in at least one election, Texas Secretary of State David Whitley announced on Friday.
Whitley's office, along with the Texas Department of Public Safety, had been investigating possible voter fraud for the last year, according to a news release.
Of the 95,000 non-citizens registered, 58,000 have voted in one or more elections since 1996.
The Secretary of State's office found those numbers by collecting current DPS data of people who have applied for a driver's license or state identification card in the last five years with a green card of visa. The investigators then cross-referenced that data with people who are registered to vote.
The Fort Worth Star-Telegram had this, NBC News had this. Dallas Morning News had this.
Which pretty well puts paid to the Democratic 'talking point' about voter fraud being a non-issue. Actually, this finding, from Texas officials very determined to clean up their voter rolls, is a very big issue. Every ballot cast by a foreigner in the election cancels out the vote of an American citizen. When the elections are close, that's quite a disenfranchisement.
According to the Star-Telegram, citing a Texas official:
“Every single instance of illegal voting threatens democracy in our state and deprives individual Texans of their voice,” Attorney General Ken Paxton said in a prepared statement. “My Election Fraud Unit stands ready to investigate and prosecute crimes against the democratic process when needed.”
He's right. With elections increasingly close, the prospect of foreigners determining the outcome is a rather amazing sort of imperialism against Americans from abroad. And they are getting away with it, they've been getting away with it for more than two decades, as this study showed.
What else can we say about this? It exposes the Democrats and their abnormal obsession with keeping voter rolls unaudited, for the beneficiaries of non-citizens voting. Texas is a red state and red states have no stake in winning illegal votes, which go largely to Democrats. No wonder they yell about these revelations, which they are doing this time, but it's a pretty big tide they're protesting.
California, by contrast, is a solid blue one-party state, coinciding with its initiation of vast benefit packages for illegal immigrants. Not surprisingly, the state houses a quarter of the nation's illegal immigrants. And surprise, surprise, it leads the nation in resistence to voter roll audits, claiming illegal immigrants wouldn't dream of voting illegally here after they crossed into the U.S. illegally. California, which had to be sued into cleaning up its voter rolls, and not completely, continues to resist any effort to maintain the integrity of its vote.
Well, the Texas audit does signal there's a problem. And since Democrats cannot spin this away, though they are trying to by saying maybe all the non-citizen voters became citizens in the interim, they are mostly likely going to try to ignore this away and say it was done by Republicans.
One can only hope it won't work this time, because they've got big plans to make all of the nation's election laws exactly like California's. This is the death of democracy. Venezuela went this route, its failure wasn't just socialism imposed in one swoop, it started with voter fraud. All the more reason to make this report from Texas a major narrative shift in the national conversation.
Correction: The original figure for registrations has been corrected,

Voter Fraud Fears Prove Right: Texas Finds 95,000 Non-Residents on Its Rolls: Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced Friday that the state has discovered 95,000 non-citizens on the voter rolls going back to 1996, 58,000 of whom have voted in at least one Texas election — an announcement likely to raise fresh concerns about the prospect of voter fraud.
Texas has some of the toughest voter ID laws in the nation and has been one of the main battlegrounds in the Republican-led fight against alleged voter fraud.
The office, in a statement, said that 33 people were prosecuted for voter fraud last year, and 97 were prosecuted between 2005-2017.
There are 16 million people in Texas registered to vote.
“Every single instance of illegal voting threatens democracy in our state and deprives individual Texans of their voice,” Paxton said in a statement.

The New York Times reported that the findings were a result of of an 11-month investigation into records at the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Gov. Greg Abbott (shown above) praised the findings and hinted at future legislation to crack down on voter fraud.
“I support prosecution where appropriate. The State will work on legislation to safeguard against these illegal practices,” Abbott tweeted.
The revelation is likely to have national consequences and stir debate and the role of voter fraud.
President Donald Trump created a commission in 2017 to investigate allegations of voter fraud in the 2016 election.
But it was eventually dismantled by Trump after the group faced lawsuits, opposition from states and in-fighting among its members.
Trump said at the time that Democrats refused to hand over data “because they know that many people are voting illegally.”
There have been a number of convictions of voter fraud in the state in recent years, including a charge against a non-citizen this month for illegal voting in Navarro County.
Democrats have dismissed claims of voter fraud and accused Republicans of trying to disenfranchise minority voters with tight voter ID laws.
Dallas state Rep. Rafael Anchia told the Associated Press that “because we have consistently seen Texas politicians conjure the specter of voter fraud as pretext to suppress legitimate votes, we are naturally skeptical.”
Paxton’s office noted that there have been a number of convictions of voter fraud in the state in recent years, including a charge against a non-citizen this month for illegal voting in Navarro County.

Texas Secretary of State Exposes Massive Voter Fraud - Big League Politics

Texas Secretary of State David Whitley released a statement documenting the conclusions of his year-long investigation into voter fraud within the state.
Whitley has identified over 95,000 non-citizens registered as eligible voters throughout the state of Texas. Out of that massive pool of illegal registered voters, the Secretary of State’s office discovered that 58,000 registered non-citizen voters have voted in one or more elections.
This revelation of fundamentally undemocratic and illegitimate voting practices enabled by lax voter registration and ID laws is sure to cast doubt upon the results of several close elections in the state this past election cycle. For example, Republican Congressman John Culberson, who had represented the state’s 7th congressional district west of Houston since 2001, lost his bid for re-election to Democrat Lizzie Pannill Fletcher by around 12,000 votes. It’s possible that ballots cast by ineligible non-citizen voters in the election could have cost him victory.
Voter fraud is a felony in Texas, and Whitley’s office is providing information on his investigation to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. Since 2005, 130 cases of voter fraud have been prosecuted in Texas– perhaps with greater frequency than in other states plagued with election integrity breaches, but still a mere drop in the ocean when compared to the figures released in Whitley’s investigation.
Trending: BREAKING: Sandmann Family Hires Top Libel Lawyer L. Lin Wood
The Texas Republican Party also released a statement reacting to the completion of the investigation, in which they called for the Texas Legislature to enact more stringent voter integrity laws to safeguard Texas elections.

“No doubt these voters affected election results in 2018. We can not afford voter fraud in 2020 and must stop this abuse now. It is a crime and it is damaging to our republic. We ask the Legislature to consider what additional changes may be needed to reduce potential voter fraud and protect the right to vote for all Texas citizens.
Meanwhile, leading voices insisting that “Russian interference” represents a fundamental threat to the integrity of American elections seem eerily silent when confronted with a different- and perhaps more realistic- threat to credible elections in one of the nation’s biggest states.

Obama did not win the second election. So much fraud and cheating by Democrats giving illegal aliens driving licenses and registering them to vote.

We need Mandatory Uniform Voting Regulations and Procedures and voting equipment with Photo Voter ID and the ability to track our votes. Terminate Motor Voter policy...too much fraud!

Trump needs to sign an Executive Order and deem ALL driver's licenses and government issued ID's to illegal aliens null and void.

They get pulled over, hand them over to ICE. They should not be driving on our roads, voting in our elections or be in our country. This poses a danger to us all. They do not have car insurance and we foot the bill for their accidents.

Governor's need to be prosecuted for violating Federal Immigration & Visa Laws. They do not get to pick and choose which laws they like and do not like or choose which laws to enforce.
