Perhaps you didn’t know it but John Kasich, Marco Rubio, and Jeb Bush have been on the Fast Track Trade Promotion Authority bandwagon for a very, very long time, which happens to be a process cooked up by internationalists and our Global Governance Crowd

What Bush, Rubio, and Kasich are in favor of is circumventing our Constitution and reversing Congress’ and our President’s assigned duties with respect to legislation designed to “regulate commerce with foreign nations”.

Under our Constitution Congress, the people’s and the State’s representatives sent to Washington, are assigned the exclusive power to fashion bills regulating commerce with foreign nations; amend them as needed to gain an approving vote by Congress; and when passed as a bill it is sent to the president for his approval or veto.

Under fast track trade promotion authority the president gets to fashion a deal affecting commerce with foreign nations behind closed doors, and when a deal is agreed upon by the nations involved and our president, the “deal” is presented to Congress for an approval which requires a mere majority vote. Keep in mind that any deals cooked up by our president with foreign nations are in fact a “treaty” as confirmed by the very definition expressed by the authors of our Constitution and a treaty requires a two thirds approval vote for approval, not a mere majority!

So, let’s clear the air and determine what is meant by a “treaty” as expressed by our Founders?

In Federalist No. 64 Jay defines a treaty as a “bargain” . He writes:

”These gentlemen would do well to reflect that a treaty is only another name for a bargain, and that it would be impossible to find a nation who would make any bargain with us, which should be binding on them ABSOLUTELY, but on us only so long and so far as we may think proper to be bound by it.”

And in Federalist No. 75 Hamilton tells us with reference to a treaty, Its objects are CONTRACTS with foreign nations, which have the force of law…”

Finally, In Federalist No. 22 Hamilton talks about “a treaty of commerce” as follows:

”A nation, with which we might have a treaty of commerce, could with much greater facility prevent our forming a connection with her competitor in trade, though such a connection should be ever so beneficial to ourselves.”

The irrefutable fact is, fast track trade promotion authority being applied to “deals” cooked up by our president with foreign nations falls within the meaning of a treaty as the word was used and understood by our founding fathers, and as such, requires a two thirds vote to become an enforceable contract, or bargain with the nations involved ___ not a simple majority vote! Additionally, Congress, and only Congress, has been assigned an exclusive authority in fashioning a bill regulating commerce with foreign nations.

So why is Bush, Kasich and Marco Rubio in favor of circumventing and reversing Congress’s and our President’s assigned duties when it comes to adopting regulations of commerce with foreign nations? Why do these three candidates not follow our Constitution’s amendment process and propose an amendment to our Constitution to grant such an extraordinary and dangerous power to our president if they believe our president should have such power? The obvious answer is, pretending the president has such power allows the American People’s voice to be dilute and weaken in the making of law which affects America’s commerce with foreign nations, and it emboldens the power of international corporate giants who have no allegiance to American or any nation to impose their will upon the American people. But don’t expect our corporate controlled media, including Foxnews, to confront Bush, Rubio, or Kasich, and ask each to point to the wording in our Constitution which delegates power to the president to fashion a bill regulating commerce with foreign nations, or allows a “treaty” to be approved by a mere majority vote.

To support John Kasich, Jeb Bush or Marco Rubio is to support our Global Governance Crowd and their WTO, NAFTA, GATT, and CAFTA, all used to circumvent America First trade policies, while fattening the fortunes of international corporate giants who have no allegiance to America or any nation.
